Katrina, I like you bedding and nursery ideas, too. Are you going to paint the circles or use decals?

tracey= I had gd with my last pg. but not nearly this early. I do have fasting rates between 103 and 115 but not every day. Last week was the first time I have ever had to take meds for it. I don't have any special reciepes I just really watch what I am serving everyone else and count the carb choices. My nurse said to drink a cup of milk at night for my snack or some with a snack because it breaks down slower this seems to be helping since she called back. I have tried the sugar free jello, and the pudding this week. Let me know if you find anything really good.

Shelley - that looks a lot like what I am planning. I am very lucky that my grandmother is an amazing seamstress and she has offered to sew our bedding, curtains, blankets, etc. I picked out a ladybug set (attached, I think) if we have one girl and will do the boy bed (if there is a boy) in frogs. Plan to paint the nursery green to compliment both and on the boy bed just do green and white gingham to match the girl bed in black and white or red and white gingham. They have these great wall stickers of ladybugs, dragonflys, frogs, etc. at Potterybarn kids that look great and I plan to pick some up once we find out the genders!

Shellie, I really like you bedding idea. I will check out Pottery Barn for decals or stickers. My artistic skills are not so great, so I will not be painting any murals.. You are so lucky to that your grandmother can help you by sewing some bedding. Not only will it be less expensive but you will have something handmade by your Grandmother that your child will cherish forever. That is really special.

Hi larklynn...My fasting sugars are somewhere between 65-80. That is why I am not convinced that I am diabetic...maybe just borderline. I did fail the one hour, but so far my sugars have been good. I also just try to watch what I am eating. I love the Russell Stover Sugar Free Candies...they have like 7 different kinds of chocolate...very good when you just need a little something sweet. I also love to go to Wendy's and get a Jr. Frosty...put it in the freezer and let it get hard. I eat it really slow and it tastes SO good.

Ok just need to vent a little! So I want to know if I have a sign taped to my forhead saying, "Please tell me all the pregnancy horror stories you know of" My future SIL came by today and was telling me about a girl her mom works with that just went into labor and delivered her little girl at 23 weeks...she even had the nerve to say, "Not like you want to hear any bad stories but..." well if I didn't want to hear bad stories why would you tell me them?! This is not the first time this has happened, a few people have told me scary stories and suprisingly enough they know me very well and know I already have enough anxiety over things that could and have gone wrong so far, why would they think it was a good idea to tell me these stories? Ok I feel a lot better about it, thanks!

Has anyone read the book by Jenny McCarthy? Belly Laughs is the title and it is tooo funny. I read it on the ride home and I was laughing so hard I almost had an accident and DH kept looking at me like I had really lost my mind! If you have not read it you need to, has some language in it but what she says is just so true and made me feel much better about my own issues! And I finally got the baby bargain's book and haven't even gotten past the crib part, it is super interesting, but scared DH when he saw how much children cost according to the book...the look was priceless, wish I had a photo!

Alana-good luck at your appt tomorrow!!! I am sure everything will be great!

Good luck Alana, I will be thinking of you and the little one!!

Sarah, sorry you have had to hear horror stories! I heard a lot of those before I was pregnant but now people who have had singletons like to tell me how easy it is!!! The positive encouragement is nice but the fact is having 3 babies at one time is not as easy as one. In fact having one, I think is not easy either!!! Ok, sorry, now I have vented. The truth is sometimes I get scared.

I am sure everything will work out for us. Everyone has to add their 2 cents, whether it makes us feel better or worse. I try not to listen to many comments or let them bother me, but sometimes my emotions get tricked. This forum has been really good for me. It keeps me focused and somewhat sane because others are going through the same thing as me at the same time. I think for some people who have had children, they kind of forget what it was like to be pregnant and worry, or they had a bad pregnancy and are convinced it is that way for everyone.

Thanks Shelley for making me feel better, and I agree three must be harder than one, you are one strong woman and I think you are amazing to do all you do to make sure your babies are happy and healthy! And I think we all get scared, but you have tripple the worry, kinda funny they always say double trouble, well you have tripple trouble...I have learned to let a lot of things go and not respond to them, I didn't say much to SIL and changed the subject pretty quickly so I think she got the hint!

Funny story, called and left my mom a message, she had to call me back because she couldn't understand what I was saying, I seriously cannot put a sentence together, lol!

Sarah - sorry you had to endure your SIL's bad judgement in telling that story. i think you already know enough scary stories being on this board!

well we finished putting the nursery 75% together - and i still cannot find my camera!!!
the crib, armoire, and 3drawer chest are all assembled, we just need to get things on the walls now.
and put the rest of the baby clothes we have already received into an appropriate area.

it has been quite the weekend - non stop busy.
we are also now having to redo the office, since we have to move all the guitars into the office (they were in the baby's room). went to ikea to buy a new desk and storage unit - next weekend will be emptying out the office and building a new one

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Alana - good luck tomorrow and I can hardly wait to see some u/s pics of the baby!!!! I hope the baby will cooperate and you can find out the gender.

Amy - i wouldnt be too concerned about your fasting sugars unless they are over 140 - you can try this old trick to help your fasting sugars from being to high in the AM --- eat only one tablespoon of peanut butter just before bed. this will keep the pancreas working throughout the night and the insulin will keep your sugars down.

Thanks Christine!

I had a nice relaxing weekend which I haven't had in a long time! It is the season for baton competions but Elizabeth is off and only has to practice until May 10th now. I had another u/s on Sun. my friend wanted a front shot of Victoria so she could feel 100% sure she was Victoria LOL. Still def. a Girl!!! She was much more cooperative yesterday. The weather was nicer and we were able to get outside alot over the weekend which was nice.

We are not starting on the nursery and Elizabeth's room until school lets out in June so we are only gathering stuff for the next month. Oh well its kind of a bummer but it will work out much better for dh this way.
Sorry to ramble hope everyone had a great weekend.

The original bedding I thought I wanted I can't find anywhere I think they discontinued it so I wanted your guys votes too on which ones you like out of these.
Little Kingdom 4 Piece Infant Bedding Set - Triboro Quilt Mfg Co - Babies "R" Us or
NoJo Princess Dreams 4 Piece Crib Bedding Set - Crown Craft Infant Products - Babies "R" Us

The room will still be a two tone light blue color with a cinderella border and curtains ( I think I will keep these curtains at least)

Christine, it sure sounds like you had a busy weekend. I can't wait to see the pictures!!! DH set up a crib in the nursery so I could but some bedding on and see what it looks like. We also bought some paint samples and painted squares on the wall so we could decide what one to go with. Hopefully next weekend the room will get painted and then we can get things set up in there.

Amy, I honestly love both your choices for bedding. The second one looks softer and I like the ruffle. You can't go wrong with your choice!

Hello ladies...hope everyone had a great weekend!

Sounds like everyone is keeping super busy! I just love seeing everyones nursery ideas and can't believe we are already at that point before you know it'll be time for birth announcements!!

Christine and Shelley- I am amazed at just hearing how much both of you have already accomplished with the nurseries.

I still have not purchased ANYTHING! Hoping we get to tackle the garage this weekend but with DH's only weekend day off being Sunday it's a little hard. We did look at some cribs and bedding but no purchases made just yet!

Alana- I also hope that your able to get an u/s and find out gender at your appointment today. Can't wait to hear all about it.

Sarah- I totally understand on not being able to put a sentence together. I do national training for our corporate office, so I've been training the same material for over a year know but sometimes it almost sounds like I don't know what I'm talking about...I'm forgetting alot of it!lol.
