Ebru-YAAAAAY!!! I am super excited about you getting a doppler, you too will soon join us doppler addicts! We should start a whole thread on it, lol! Sorry to hear about your friends baby, how sad =( But I love your attitude about your baby, we will make it to september, and will probably be overdue, lol!

Alana-I posted on your other thread but I think you must have picked up your hb. Where you upset by the time you found the 100 or had you just been doing a lot of moving or exercise? I had that happen to me when I was super upset and it turned out to be my own hb. I am sure your little one is just fine, probably just sleeping!

Anyone else having a lot of swelling? My feet are getting there by the end of the day, ugh! Time for new shoes =) 11 more days until my gender scan!!! Can you tell I am excited?!

Wow you girls must be having a lot of fun with your dopplers. I am still chicken to get one. I think it would just cause daily panic for me, especially with there being 3 heart beats to find. Have any of you figured out how to record it? That would be so cool!!

Sarah, I bet you are getting excited for your gender scan!! I have been having some swelling in my fingers and mostly one leg that I had operated on a few years ago. I put my feet up in the recliner as often as I can. Some of my shoes do not fit so I will be in flip flops until the end of summer. On Thrursday I had an u/s done on my leg to check for blood clots. Luckily there were none.

I got my baby name book yesterday. We are clueless are to what to name the boys...

Hi Ladies,
It sure has been quiet around here. Hope everyone is doing OK. Maybe everyone just had something to do this weekend. My hubby and I have something every night of the week, so today was actually a nice break.

Sarah...I am also counting down the days until my gender scan. I think I have 12 days left!

I finished the baby's room today...well, if you could call it that. The new baby will be in the guest room. We only have three bedrooms, so we have to make room for new baby and for grandma's that come to stay!! With my first, I bought all of the expensive bedding and stuff, but then realized all I need is a place for them to sleep, diapers and onesies and you are set. Eventually this one will join his big brother in the bunk bed in his room. Of course if it is a girl, that presents some problems! We might have to find a four bedroom house someday!

I love to garage sale, so I found this bassinet and the bedding for "grandmas" bed last weekend. We have awesome garage sales in our area...I only go to rich neighborhoods to do it, b/c they practically just give their stuff away(plus it is usually better quality)!

Inside the bassinet is a Comfort Sleeper...they are wonderful! It is just this little bed that travels and is perfect size for a newborn. It also has a light, so in the middle of the night when you are barely awake and want to check on the baby, it just turns on a soft light.
Wow, I am rambling! Ok, well here is a pic of the room. Eventually we will put the crib in there and move out the tall glass cabinet(that spells disaster)!

Tracy I really love the bassinett and how beautiful the room looks with the white linen and furniture.

We went to a few garage sales today. I have gotten 2 used boppies that looked brand new, one was even it it's original packaging. They washed up really great and only cost $2 instead of the $35 in the stores. I also got some baby girl clothing, including a beautiful pink Baby Gap zip up cable sweater. When I went to pay the girl would not take any money from me. We did insist on paying for a rainforest mobile but she would only accept $2. Wow what a score!! DH was actually quite patient as I sorted through the clothing. I am picky so I only picked up the ones that looked new. I am all for being thrifty. There are some things we will go all out and spend a fortune on .... like car seats and a triple stroller.

Shelley...you will definitely need a triple stroller! I want to buy a new car seat too. You are right...that is one thing that is VERY important! Glad to know someone else loves garage sales like I do. I think most of my friends think I am bargain crazy!

Oh I am so jealous of you garge sale girls!! It is still a little early here in upstate NY, there have been some but nothing good! Plus I want to wait until I know if we are having a girl or a boy. Tracy-the room is beautiful, love the white linen look! And how true is it about how little babies actually need!

Shelley-My one leg seems to swell more than the other, not by much but it is there. What deals you got! Did the lady know you were having triplets? I would love to see the look on faces when you tell them...I am sure you get quite the reactions!

Well I was helping all night last night at a benefit for a friend of mine who's daughter was born with a heart issue, and they had a DJ and they were playing some Toby Keith song and I don't think the baby liked it because I swear I felt him or her kick or something...it was kind of cool! And I won this cute baby blanket from one of the raffles, I was so excited, people must have thought I was crazy! But let me tell you my back was KILLING me after, I was at the bake sale table, and even just sitting was tough on me. But it was all worth it because they got a lot of money, its wonderful to see how many people are so generous and caring! One person ordered 5 spagetti dinners to go and gave them $70...it was just amazing! Well I am waaaay behind in my housework so off to do some much dreaded laundry and dusting and maybe some work on the baby room...how horrible of a mother am I, we have done almost nothing to the room, other than clean it!

Yeah, the girl did know we are having triplets. The look on her face was funny. She said that she did not know if I was pregnant or if I just had a baby. Hummmm, I guess throwing on something quickly and running out the door early Sat am, left me with a frumpy look She was just a young girl and really nice. There was more stuff I could have got from them but I am trying to figure out what I need and how much of it. I start to get really excited about the babies and then I realize I still have a long ways to go. Not that long but long enough.

Sarah, that was very kind of you to help out at the benefit for your friend's daughter's heart condition. I hope the little girl will be ok. Does she need an operation? I knew someone who's son needed a heart operation at birth. It was tough on the little guy and parents during that time but he fully recovered.

That is funny that you baby kicked during a Toby Keith song. Maybe they did like the song and you have a little lne dancer in there. LOL I got kicked in the ribs by one of the boys the other night. I had just gotten out of the recliner and it felt like I got stabbed in the rib. I guess my movement upset him!

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Not much new here. I am just happy that we all got through another wonderful week without any major issues!

I know we have a ways to go, but still I can't believe we are at the halfway point pretty much!

The baby did have an operation a few days after birth and then another one not too long ago...and there may be more in her future, but they are pretty positive and make the most of each day. They are truley an inspiration to me.

I am feeling a little pressure today, but no movement =( but I did doppler twice and hear him moving around in there like crazy...so it made me feel a little better. Ok so I have a question, am I supposed to drink a lot of water before my u/s? My doctor didn't say anything about it at my last visit, but everyone I know is telling me to do it, so I figured I would ask you girls.

My doctors office always tells me to drink water before an u/s. I was told one of the reasons was because it makes the cervix show up more clear and they can see if it is long or opening. I am actually a bit confussed about the whole water thing... Having a full bladder is suppose to push your uterus and babies up so they can see the baby better. I would ask your doctor before you go for your next u/s. I also heard that once the baby is larger there is no need to drink water. I'll be happy when that happens!!

Good morning everyone! I am so ready for spring, and having my windows open! But, it is still freezing here and we are hitting record lows...brrr.

I went to a concert last night and I think the baby really enjoyed all of the vibrations. Of course I worried a little bit b/c the bass was so loud that my insides were rattling! I notice more movement when I am sitting in a chair..which is weird, b/c usually you feel more when you are lying down in bed.

Today I get to do a 24 hour urine test. There is nothing glamorous about peeing in a jug for 24 hours and having to keep it in the refrigerator...gross.
Anyway, the OB is having me do it b/c I had preeclampsia with my first. She just wants to have a baseline to compare with later on in my pregnancy. I'm glad she is cautious...I love having a woman for OB. I had a man last time and what a difference there seems to be.

Sarah..I just read my instructions that my OB gave me for my ultrasound. It said to drink three 8oz glasses of water before my ultrasound. So, if my appointment was at 9am, it said to drink that and be done by 8am. Wow, I am going to hurt really bad! My instruction sheet said that if I come with an empty bladder then they would have to reschedule my appointment. No pain, no gain I guess!

Tracy-yeah the peeing for 24 hours must not be fun! Glad to hear the baby likes the music! I still have not felt a definite movement...I think I have but still not sure. Oh and I am the same way with the windows, the temp dropped last night and I forgot to close the window so I woke up at 4 am freezing and couldnt figure out why...guess I better leave myself a note to close it before bed!

Well I guess I better drink some water just in case...worst case is that I have to pee before they do the u/s right?! I am really feeling tired today, I could barely keep my eyes open when my students were eating their lunch! And I have an interview for a new job next monday, which is exciting. My only problem is that I don't know how to let them know I am preggo...I def. want to tell them because I just feel dishonest about it, especially since I will be due at the beg. of the school year...what do you ladies think I should do?

Sarah, I don't think I'd tell them but only because they most likely will discriminate against you for being pregnant. I know they're not legally allowed to do that...but we all know they do, so don't feel guilty hun. We all know companies have absolutely no loyalty to anything other than the bottom-line, so think only of yourself and your little one. If you really want this job...don't worry about how they will react in a month when you tell them. I'm sure they will be fine anyway, they know it would be illegal to behave any other way. This all assumes you aren't showing so much they notice of course! lol

How are the rest of you girls doing? After my doppler freak-out I'm using it a bit less so as not to scare myself. I'm a bit nervous about my anatomy scan on Thursday, although I won't know the results of it until about a week later so I get to be worried for another two weeks!

DH and I have bought a few items for the baby but nothing substantial. We are waiting for the gender results before we buy clothes...and the rest I just can't commit to as like you mentioned Shelly, we have come a long way...but have a long way still to go. I almost want to get to that point where the baby is viable outside of the womb before I go crazy. Is that about 26-28 weeks? I just still feel too nervous to relax about it all. Guess thats the curse of IF!

Oh...I also didn't get a chance to say...
'Christine, 'YAY' for passing the 20w 6 day mark!! I know its been a tough journey to trust you and your little one would make it to this point...but you have! Now you can relax (easier said than done I know!) and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. I'm so happy for you hun.
