Alana - we have an echo scheduled on 5/9 - so they will also do the measurements they missed last time - hopefully they will give me more pics.....
but we scheduled a 4d u/s for 5/31 - which has a live web cast - that is so cool, so my parents and DH's parents can see the u/s live online!!!

if you want to see - PM your email address and i will send you the invite!

we also scheduled another one for 7/12.

the swelling is getting worse, i went in today, so they could do a urine test to make sure there was no proteins being dumped. no protein, no headaches, no two little michalin men until this little one comes

Girls - count your blessing for not being big yet - you will pop and it will be soon enough - you look back on these posts and thing, "what was i thinking?"

Shelley - you look wonderful!!!

Alana - 2 more days - i am sure hoping you can catch a glimps of your "boy" (okay i am sticking with boy until you prove me otherwise

Amy - planning is the fun part! you can change your mind a million times

Sarah - maybe if you pull some of the rug up, it will get him going or it might back fire and get you more riled up - dont listen to me!

Justine - my DH is German also!!!

Sarah...thanks for the list hun. Now we just have to attach it permanently somewhere so we can see it all the time. They need to make the space for our signatures bigger so we can add it to them.

Christine, thats wonderful you can have live feeds of your u/s. I would love to see that however don't want to intrude in what is your family time. Although...if you really don't mind me seeing it I am an u/s addict so let me know and I will send you my email. I tell you...I might have to change careers and become an u/s technician after this just to get my fix!

Justine, the nursery sounds lovely. I think you are right to do neutral colors now and build on it when they are old enough to have little personalities of their own and can put their own wee stamp on it. I'm going to do the same thing. Its just easier when moving into a new house I think...you can't go wrong with neutrals.

Amy, as Christine said the plannings part of the fun. You will have it all figured out by the time you do your nursery. I'm probably not putting anything together until the summer either as we may still be moving. But its pretty simple to put a room together once you have it all planned out. It can realistically be done in a day.

Sooooo...we need some more bump pics girls. Sarah, Christine, Justine its your turn girls. Where are they??

Alana-Thanks for thinking of me and cant wait to hear all about your u/s, just alittle over a day away now! I'm sure you will at least be able to leave with some pictures to share with us...and I still have hope that they won't make you wait for gender news!

Sarah-I agree with some of the other girls and wouldn't mention that your expecting. Best of luck! Oh and thanks for the list you created maybe we can add due dates to it as well!

Justine-Congrat's on your new home! I've always been excited about getting into a new place, but I know the packing, unpacking and moving from one place to another is never any fun. We moved in July, this is our 2nd house and I tell DH that this is the house I want to live in forever. Hope I don't change my mind!

Sorry I have been mia for a few days so much has happened.

The baby's movements are so strong now, I was amazed seeing my belly move for the 1st time Friday night. DH was also able to feel him kick when he placed his hand on my belly. He was so happy, before he was only able to hear me say the baby was moving so when he was ble to feel his kicks he had tears in his eyes.

Finally registered at babies r us on Saturday and was able to add several things to the registry. My youngest daughter tagged along and I think she even enjoyed just scanning all the items.

Not sure if I mentioned it already but our garage has been packed with things since our move. So started cleaning it out and got alot accomplished on Saturday and Sunday. We are converting the garage into a game room and the current game room into a 4th bedroom for our 13 year old, and then her current room as the nursery. So the garage has to be done 1st before we can even start on the nursery. I knew if I didn't make an effort to start the project there is no predicting when DH would think of even starting.

And as if that weren't enough...I ended up going to the hospital for abdominal pains and admitted on Monday around 9:00 am. Since the baby moves so much, almost all day long it seems, I knew the pains had nothing to do with him and that he was fine. I was however afraid that it was my appendix. On Saturday night, or Sunday early morning around 4am I ended up waking up to very strong pain on my right side, and it even traveled to my back. I got up from bed to try to walk off the pain but every time I took a step with my right foot the pain worsened, so bad I was in tears. I went to my Dr's office Monday 1st thing and they sent me to labor & delivery instead of having to refer me out if needed. The pain isn't as bad as that night and it comes and goes but anytime I apply pressure to the area I feel the pain. They have done a full OB scan, a kidney scan and blood work. My OB thinks it may be kidney stones trying to pass, but not really sure. I was scheduled to fly out to Florida yesterday for work, so glad things didn't happen away from home, she did say she doesn't want me traveling anymore, so not sure how my job will take that news since I'm scheduled to travel 2-3 times a month.

Alana - dont think of it as an intrusion at all. i think it would be great! i am actually really excited to be able to make the call and get it scheduled.

i have also given thought to chaning careers, as i am an u/s junkie!! i just dont know how other gals do it only getting one or two of them during the pregnancy.

remember to send your email addy and i will add you to the invite list.

ohhh.....and i still cant wait for your news on thursday! i am out of the office the rest of the week with no computer access! so i have to wait even longer for your news - when i get home that night.

Oh yeah - you have to many PM's!!!empty that box out girl!

Elisa,

I'm sorry to hear you're going through such a nightmare--I'm so glad you were home too! That must have been terrifying, I'm so glad it's not the baby. Take care!

So I was thinking that everyone can cut and paste this list and add their due date, I was going to do it but many of us don't have that on our signatures...we could also add upcoming appts and important milestones. Alana-good luck tomorrow, how exciting!!! I cannot wait to hear how well it goes and you must get pictures!! Elisa-what an experience you have had, hope you are feeling better! My friend had kindey stones around 25 weeks or so and she ended up in the hospital too, hope you pass them soon if that is what it is. Christine-Sorry about the swelling! But how cool is the webcasting?! that will be neat and nice to involve the family in it!

And I don't think you all want to see my belly...i told my SIL on the phone tonight I just look like a sausage, and she thought I said exausted and said yes that she can imagine, and I was waiting for her to laugh and say just joking, when she didn't I said well isnt that nice you think I look like a sausage! She felt so bad, but I just laughed my butt off about it! Anyhoo maybe I will take a picture and see how bad it is before I post it. I was chubby before getting preggo so I just look fatter really, not really preggo....I'll go do it now and maybe post it later.

Hey girls. Elisa I'm sorry to hear you aren't doing too well. I hope they can figure out what the pain is and get it under control soon. Thats a pain about the travel too...but at least this didn't happen while you were away as you mentioned.

Christine...lol, I'll empty it out now! I'm also excited to see your scan when you have it so I'll pm you my email address.

Sarah, I don't care what you say...I want to see your sausage belly!

So today I ended up at the OB's with her listening for a few minutes to the heartbeat. DH and I both heard skipped beats on the doppler this morning again and so they had me come in to check. Of course BB didn't have any when the doctor listened, but she could tell I was still worried so shes told me to tell the u/s technician tomorrow whats happening so they can check it more thoroughly, and if its still happening in a couple of weeks they'll do a echocardiogram. She did mention though that babies at this stage have heartbeats that slow and speed up all the time. I didn't know that...so hopefully its nothing and when we go get the scan all will be okay. I tell you...waiting a week for tommorrows results is going to be pure torture!

Alana, good luck with your anatomy scan tomorrow. I know how hard it will be too wait because tomorrow I find out my results from over a week ago!! Ugh. I am thinking positive thoughts about little BB's heartbeat. I am sure it will be ok...just one of those things that happen once and awhile and you just happened to be listening when it did. That is one of the reasons why I did not get a doppler. I would be freaking out all them time because that is just the way I am. I will be thinking of you and BB! I can't wait to find out the sex of the baby!!! woohoo!

I agree with Alana, we need more baby bump pictures!!! It just makes it all seem so real to see everyone with their bump. Before I 'popped' and believe me, you really do just pop!! ~ I felt fat and awkward, now I just feel pregnant and awkward! LOL

Christine, that is so cool that you will have a live webcast for your 4d u/s. I can't wait to see your pictures. They will be so amazing. I had an operation on one of my legs a few years ago and it has been swelling up to the point where I can only wear flip flops. I try to put my feet up as much as I can but the only thing that really helps is totally staying off my feet! Eventually I will probably have to do that with this pregnancy.

Elisa, that is amazing that you can now see and feel the baby kicking on the outside!! Wow, I can't wait. I have a kicker under my ribs. My DH just beams when I tell him I felt a baby. I just know he can't wait to feel it to. I am sorry to hear you have had pain and a scare for the baby. I hope you are feeling better and they find out what is wrong.

Sarah, we want to see your belly!! Think of it as showing off the baby!!! You could hold up an u/s picture and then it truly would be about the baby!!!

Tomorrow I find out my anatomy scan results but I have to wait until 5 pm!!!!! I am hoping all is well but I am a bit more nervous with this one. After I get the healthy report I am going to book a 4d scan. I called today and they said that I should get it done before 24 weeks because by then it gets pretty crowded in the uterus!

I hope everyone is having a great week.

Alana-good luck today, I think everything will be just fine with your little one! Hopefully the u/s tech will have a heart and tell you boy or girl!

And yeah took a picture...actually like 10 pictures and I look horrible in all of them, I am not kidding you I am just big all over!! More so than before...isnt that another wives tale meaning I am having a girl?! Anyhoo I forgot to tell you all I def. felt the baby yesterday!!! Yay!!! I was sitting at the computer at work and all of a sudden I went to turn and I got this tickly feeling by my belly button...I though I just moved wrong so I sat back to where I was and then I felt this little push, almost like there was a little ball under my skin moving around, then more tickly feelings. I felt the tickle on and off for most of the day, but not much last night...so I am super excited!!! I was trying to convince myself it wasnt the baby and it was all in my head, but then I thought you dummy it has to be, what else would do that to your belly button!!! Well I am off to work and after I am headed up to Buffalo until Saturday for a teacher conference, so I will be MIA until then, unless I can get on the computer at work sometime today, if not have a great weekend!! And good luck Alana, and Elisa I hope you feel better soon!

Sarah- Have a safe trip and congratulations on feeling the baby move.

Elisa- I hope your feeling better today and they are able to figure out what is going on.

Alana- Good Luck today. Hopefully they will tell us all if your having a boy or a girl. How scary about the skipped beat I would be a wreck if I had a doppler. Although some days I am a worrier with out one. There is no winning some days.

Shelly- Were waiting on your awsome report today.

Charms- the 4d u/s web cast sounds really cool.

Hi Girls..sorry I have been MIA. Our friend has been building us a deck and so I have been engrossed in that!

Sarah-congrats on feeling the baby! That is awesome! If you show your belly, I will show mine...haha! Of course chubby is not the word I would use for myself, more like voluptous(sounds better anyway)!

Shelly-Your babies will be just fine! I know it is hard to wait to find out results. With my first, they just told me everything right there at my scan. I don't think it will be that way this time, b/c I don't live in a small town anymore!!

Christine-that live webcast thing is really neat. I wish my OB did that. That would make some grandparents VERY happy.

Alana--today's the day! We can't wait to hear what you are having. I say boy still!!

Elisa-Hope you get to feeling better. I have never had a kidney stone, but I have heard they are really painful.

One more week until my scan.

Alana - Butting in from the June Board. My OB noticed that one of my babies was skipping a beat and sent us for an echo on both and everything was fine. The heart doctor told me this can happen frequently because their "electrical system" is forming and sometimes it just shorts out a little. I also spoke to the u/s tech at the high risk I go to for my u/s and he told me that with the doppler the skipped beat is usually when the baby has hiccups. So it truly isn't a skipped beat, the hiccups just interupt the sound. I hope this helps a little, I know that you truly won't be at ease until you have a definitive answer. I was a total basket case so I know the anxiety you are feeli
