Thanks Erin, thats great to know its usually nothing serious. I hope it is just hiccups...I guess I'll find out more with my results next week.

Anyway, the scan went well. We still don't know the gender unfortunately as there were signs everywhere saying they aren't allowed to tell patients that information. Our u/s tech did try to help us out by showing us between their legs, but honestly those things are so hard to read DH and I were still very confused. If I had to guess I'd say they were a girl from what I saw...but then DH said he thought he might have seen a wee frankfurter so we are completely in the dark still. Also about the anatomy too...the good thing is she was very thorough, checking the heart extra carefully and measuring the length of my cervix so that made me feel a bit better.
Now we wait!

Shelley...your wait is almost over! Let us know what the doctor said hun...I bet all three of your little ones are absolutely perfect.

Sarah...YAY for feeling the baby move. That tickling by the belly button is definately them. Thats what I feel too. I also saw today that BB has their legs right up around their head so all the times I thought they were head-butting me they were actually kicking. I had no idea they were so flexible. If I can get my stupid scanner working I will post the pics. They aren't the best but the one of the legs by the head is pretty funny.

So Alana, when you get the results will they be able to tell you the gender - or when do you find that out? So odd that they aren't allowed to tell you!!!

Alana...glad you got to see your little one. I think it's weird and cruel to not to tell you! You should have tried slipping the tech a $20...just kidding.

That really stinks Alana. My u/s yesterday she just started saying everything out loud. I can't wait to hear your report.

Well Victoria was extremely active yesterday. She went from head down to breech in the middle of my u/s. She sucked her thumb and was jumping around. The u/s tech said she was flash dancing and then playing peek a boo.

I hear you on the pain of waiting a week. My case was the opposite, and in comparison might make your wait easier.

My anatomy scan: scheduled a bit earlier than normal, it was 2 weeks ago. It was performed by an U/S tech, who told me the genders, but she wasn't sure. Then when the perinatologist came to review the work he stated they were not able to confirm the genders and it's not uncommon to have false female interpretations. He sort of sloughed off what the tech had said. I'm going in on Wednesday so they can get photos of a few areas they weren't able to get at last appt due to positioning. Fortunately, all looks good, but I'm more confused (and anxious) now. Can I believe what the tech said? I know they cannot be 100% until actual birth but I'd rather not have a half-assed reading, I really would rather not know the genders at this point if they're not sure-- I can wait a few weeks to know for certain. I hope for those of you who have to wait for results that you can find comfort in knowing it will be the accurate information. Hang in there!!

Yay!!! Babies are doing great! It seems crazy now to of had to wait and worry for nothing!! Justine, girls are much harder to determine. There is even a chance that my girl could be a boy! I thought the doctor knew for sure but yesterday he asked me if the tech told me the genders. I said they could tell there was 2 boys and unsure of the 3rd one. I am really hoping she is still a girl

All the measurements and heartbeats are normal. I was really excited to hear that my cervix is long at 6 cm and totally closed! Whew!!!! That is a big thing for multiple births because I am at higher risk that is will shorten and I will go into preterm labor.

At 20 weeks, baby girl A measured 21 weeks, baby boy B - 20 weeks, and baby boy C - 19 weeks 5 days. They told me it is completely normal and expected for triplets to measure a week or two apart. An interesting thing is the heartbeats, which are A-144, B-147, C-163. The old wives tale is that a high heartbeat indicates a girl but the highest of mine is C which is definitely a boy!!

Here are the little ones!! Baby B was the only one cooperating but I wanted to show them all!

Thanks I actually just booked a 3D/4D u/s package deal for May 17th! With triplets they suggest getting it done before 24 weeks because it gets really crowded in there to get a good picture. We will be getting a bunch of pictures and a cd so we can print more on our own. We will also get a dvd, mini movie of them set to music. I am really looking forward to it!!

Shelley,

Thanks for sharing that with us--I'm so happy for you and that they are all doing well. They told me that too that with multiples there is an optimal window to check everything out before it gets too crowded and decreases visibility. Geez, I wish they'd just not give their guess on genders, unless they're certain! Congratulations !!

Shelley your babies are adorable! I love the one with the pouty little lips, what cuties!

I'm in agreement with you Justine about the genders too. While its annoying to have to wait they do it so they are accurate. I know when they tell us it will be the right result so I guess thats worth waiting for. It was so darn fuzzy on the screen that even though we thought what we were seeing was a girl...it could honestly have been anything! But its over now and in a few days I guess we will know everything. There is also a possibility we might still be allowed to have out 3D u/s this coming Tuesday as they might not need the anatomy scan results before we can have it after all. I hope they don't...I'd love to see BB again.

I understand how you girls feel about the gender determination thing. I honestly thought the girl was a for sure thing. I feel guilty thinking about how bummed I will be if it is not a girl. When the doctor was talking about it, DH said, well he is going to be really jealous over his brother's green bedding and blue sleepers!!! He might not like all the pink!!

LOL over pouty lips. The baby looks so much like my DH. He definitely has his full lips and nose. It is amazing the details you can see in the little ones.

Alana, that is cool that you might get a 3D u/s this Tuesday!! I would love to see the pictures!

Shellie, I love the ladybug bedding! I want to do my nursery in ladybugs - actually my 5 year olds suggestion since she wants a butterfly room! We asked her to help us out with decorating the nursery. Where did you find the bedding? I go to Pottery Barn kids all the time & haven't seen the bug appliques - is this on-line only? I have to check it out.

I love that your grandmother is making your bedding, etc. I have some things from when I was a baby. I brought my DD home in my baby blanket & will do the same for this baby. The baby will also wear my DD's christening gown - their names & christening dates will be embroidered on the slip & will be nice to pass down to them some day.
