Ebru-I'm the same way vacillating between irritable and happy. Glad to hear I'm not the only one.

I really like the IKEA crib. Right now we're leaning toward the similar one in white, which converts to toddler bed. Keeping it simple!

Oh yea, I love the white one too. I'm with you on keeping it simple. If I'm having a girl, I would definitely go with the white one. We're going to Ikea this saturday to take a look at them. The only thing about the other one I like better is the fact that it has the matching pieces and I need storage space. But then again anything goes with white. You can match it with any white armoire.
I'll be so proud of myself if I get the Ikea crib and save some money. I'm so bad at that. I'm having the same dilemma on strollers.

Sarah-16 hours yay!! Let us know as soon as you find out.

Katrina- Where are the pics?

Btw, we finally took some pictures this weekend. I'll post some when I go home. I feel HUGE!!! All my maternity tops are still too big on me so I look like a sack of potatoes in them. I can't wait to get bigger so I had to wear a t-shirt that would show my bump. But that makes me look more fat than pregnant. Oh well...

Jill, that is wonderful that you are getting some baby stuff. It really is amazing how generous people can be. I appreciate everything I get because I would never ever ask for anything. I did not know about the 5 year expiry date for car seats. It makes sense though. The ones I received definitely less than 2 years, probably less than 1 year old. The babies just grew out of them.

Sarah, have fun with your u/s. I can't wait to hear what you are having. It will be a fun day. Please post pictures if you can. You know how much we love little baby pictures! I love your idea of a baby revealing BBQ and shirts with pictures. How cute. Congratulations on your interview! I hope it works out for you.

Alana, Yay you will be seeing BB tomorrow. I can't wait to hear how it goes!!

Katrina, How was your u/s today? I look forward to hearing about it.

Ebru, I like the crib you picked out. It is a good idea to go with a one that has a great review.

I started to plan a 3D/4D ultrasound and DH said that he wanted to get me one for Mother's Day and surprise me...but here I was planning one for myself! LOL How cute of him. We are getting one done this Saturday and his parents will also be joining us because we are allowed to have guests join us. How cool. I hope the babies cooperate! I will make sure to give them a Chocolate Milkshake sugar buzz before the appointment.

Hey, lots of ultrasounds this week. Good luck girls, I'll let you know if they tell us the genders.

Oh, the strollers and babyseats that's a world of confusion to me now. My philosophy is save money when feasible but on others invest. I'm telling you that Baby Bargains book is a real resource!! I was shopping today and saw a couple putting their baby into the floor model of the the little chair that has wheels...don't know the name. In the book they advise steering clear due to the danger factor and that was my first thought when I saw them--I had to keep my mouth shut and mind my own business, because telling others what to do with their kids is not socially acceptable, right up there with talking politics and religion as far as touchy subjects!

What about diaper genies, mattresses, monitors--lots to learn....

Walkers have been controversial for many years due to the lack of parental supervision while children are in them. There have been cases of children falling downstairsand getting really injured. I have known many children who have safely used them with great enjoyment. I had one when I was little, and turned out ok. Now they have really cool looking walkers that look like Jeeps and Sports cars! They are also good for muscle developement but your must watch them at all times!

Sorry, I can't resist posting the funny picture LOL No laughing at the antique bikes in the background...you know I am old, now you have proof

Shelley-how cute are you?!!!

Justine-I too have decided that we wont be using a walker or one of those exersaucers due to my fears of what they could cause or safety issues. But I do know that many children in my own family and friends have used them and they have turned out ok, I guess it is just one of those personal preference things.

I am def. getting bigger, I am a super fan of the Old Navy t-shirts with various things on the front, well most of them are barely fitting or like the one I have on tonight does not even cover the belly! Yeah I am getting bigger! Only 12 more hours to go!!! Ok I promise I wont mention it again, I am just so super excited!!! Alana I really hope you get to do the 3D tomorrow!!!

Ladies,
I want to start with apologizing for not posting the past few weeks. Life has just been so busy and until I sit down in the evening I am too tired to post. I do though read the new posts but just do not have enough energy to post. SORRY!!!!

Next I want to apologize for not posting sooner about my u/s. I no sooner got home and had to turn around to leave to go meet a friend. We went to hear Dave Pelzer. He wrote the book "A Child Called It" He was severley abused as a child by his mother. His case is the third worse in the state of California. It was a very moving speech and makes you put things into perspective.

Ok...ok....ok now for my u/s. My appointment was 2 and 1/2 hours long. We were meeting with a genetic counselor today for several reasons. 1. MIL had cleff lip & pallette 2. I have hypothyriodism 3. I have a blood clotting disorder and 4. my 2 previous m/c. So the genetic counselor sat down with us for 45 minutes and drew out a family tree from our grandparents to our nieces and nephews and listed the major heriditary issues. 4 came up. DH's gransmother has only 1 kidney, niece has epilepsy, MIL has cleff lip and pallette and I have the blood clotting disorder. She didn't feel that any of these factors posed a strong threat but we were told that they would take an extra careful look at the kidneys and the lips during the u/s. Then we proceeded to have a 1 hour u/s where our little girl was measured from top to bottom. She weighs 12 oz....has two kidneys!!! and her lips look beautiful!!!!!! I was able to see the entire u/s on a screen. They took tons of pics but only gave us 3 to keep. I will post the pics tomorrow. Well now that I have written a book I am going to go to bed.

Good luck to everyone with the upcoming u/s!!!

One last thing we have decided on a name!!! Madison Marie!!!!
