I know you're right, I'm just such a prude about these things...lol. A personal trimmer sounds like a good idea though, I might check out ebay and see what they have that might help. Katrina, I haven't personally had any leaking but I know many women do around this point. Perhaps purchase some pads to slip into your bra to help prevent the leaks. Actually, thats another thing to add to my endless list of things to buy, nursing pads. Thankfully my father has offered to purchase the stroller and car-seat so thats one item to scratch off the list.

Katrina - i had a leaking problem long before ever getting pregnant.....but right now it seems to have stopped after i purchased larger sized sports bra's to wear.
shelley - the nursery is wonderfully beautiful!!! Alana - the GD test is normal for all pregnancies after they give you the third trimester blood tests if the fasting blood sugar comes back over 100. luckily for me - we already know i have diabetes, so i get to skip all that ![]() we will have Aedyn's room all done next weekend! i can hardly wait ![]()

Shelley--Thanks for sharing the nursery photos....as I looked at them I felt similar feeling to what you described previously: I knew you were having triplets but now it really hits home that you are having three babies!!
The room looks great, and I really like the closet system....is that a kit, or something your husband devised himself? Overall vibe is calm, soothing, but playful too. Excellent! I'm still trying to figure out the best way to configure our cribs in the nursery, but you're inspiring me. Ladies: I was just at the what to expect website (I check it for the upcoming week every Sunday.) Anyway, was struck by the graphic showing we'll soon be closing in on entering the third trimester!! Wow, can you believe it? And for us with multiples our third will be shortened, most likely. I really cannot believe how fast it's going. On Saturday we went in to pick up a few summer pieces at Motherhood to get me through the warmer weather. I'm always amazed to see how much bigger I'm getting and a few months ago would not have believed that I would get used to this big belly to the point of not noticing the difference at times. Crazy. Not doing much this holiday as DH is working but did sit out in the yard, shade (trying to avoid more chloasma spots) reading what else: Baby Bargains!! Hope your weekends are relaxing!!

Shelley - I LOVE the nursery, looks fantastic!
Alana - I have noticed that the growth is extremely excessive! My dh even said well, I guess I know now where the term "bush" comes from!!! I am not a waxer either but something has to give - I can't see to trim or shave already and I am sure it is going to get worse and I know that the docs and nurses don't care but I do, I think it looks horrible and I am going to have to find a solution - stat! I've told you all that my grandmother is making the curtains, crib skirt, diaper stacker, etc. but haven't shown you what we are using to work off of - this is the colors we are going to us and we bought two of these and will use the quilt and the bumper and make the other stuff like the crib skirt as just a white with one of the colors piping around the edges of a very tailored, pleated type skirt, valance, curtains, etc. We are thinking of using the pink piping on the girl's crib and blue piping on the boy's crib and then just bring in the other colors - primarily the kiwi green on other staff like diaper stacker, rugs, hampers, etc. So fun - I am loving this part! ![]()

Fossie-loooove that crib! I like the idea of the blue for boy and pink for girl and it will look so cute with the green.
Well ladies if you are going to try a personal trimmer you can get a cheap kit thing at WalMart near the men's shavers and at this point I really cant see what I am doing but it has a guard so you dont cut yourself...it's actually a lot like a beard trimmer...something to try I guess and it is around 15 dollars so even if you dont like it you haven't wasted that much money. Katrina-funny you should say that because yesterday I was making breakfast and noticed a wet spot on my left side and thought it was just water from washing something off but I really wonder if it was leakage...ahh the joys of motherhood. And it is crazy we are almost to the third trimester!!! When does it officially start? I have read a few different things and not sure which one to go by...

My hair issues are elsewhere: fuzzy on stomach parts of face, and neck, it's embarassing. Also the chloasma which is like big freckles wherever the sun hits. Everything I've read said these symptoms should disappear 4 to 6 months after giving birth. Argh....
When you are prepped for delivery do they shave women? I'm likely having c-section, but don't know for sure. Do any of you ladies know what they do to prep? That is sort of embarassing too. I guess dignity just goes out the window for us now!!

Thanks for your comments girls. I will be sure to tell DH that you approve of his hard work
Having the nursery almost done sure makes it all seem real that I am having babies!! It has been a bit overwhelming but I am excited!Alana, I have a feeling the nursery will always be a work in progress. LOL at least the orgranizing part of it! I looked all over for baskets that were cute and a good price. They can be really expensive in some places. I guess because it is almost a trendy thing to do. I found mine at Walmart online. Even after having to pay for shipping, there were a better price than anywhere else. You can get them in many different colors too!! Search results for wicker baskets - Wal-mart DH used a Closet Maid kit that he purchased at Lowes. He had to customize the size to fit in our existing area but it is cool because you can buy different accessories for it. I get my GD results this Thursday at 5 pm, when I meet with my doctor. I am not sure if everyone has to get the test or not? I am at higher risk because of having multiples and my old age ![]() As far as the hair, I keep it well maintained which is getting very difficult. In the beginning it was hard to see but now it is getting hard to reach I am a bit nervous about getting it waxed because I am scared that it might irritate the skin. I have notice that my skin has been more sensitive even to the razor. I asked DH if he would help me if it becomes a problenm and he said sure. I hope it he does, he doesn't get any freaky, frisky ideas... . This is an interesting dilemma .....Alana, that is really nice of your father to purchase the stroller and car seat. Wow, what a great help that will be for you!! Sarah, we had a custom built in closet but we paid someone to take it out because it would not work with the 3 babies and 3 cribs in the room. It is crazy because someone probably paid a lot of money to have them put in. With the cribs there is no room to have a door open... and I needed access to the entire area. I have leaked a couple of times. It was clear. I looked it up on the internet and it is normal for it to happen. So far it is not enough that I have to worry about wearing a nursing pad. Shellie, I love the quilt and color ideas. I'm a big fan of green for babies. The monkey print is really cute and cheerful!

Justine-I second the hairy belly...mine is seriously out of control! And the other day I found one long black hair on my chin, I was so super embarassed and was wondering how long it was there for before I found it...gotta love the hormones. Oh I also ended up with a mild sunburn from gardening yesterday and read that it has to do with the change in hormones, I just can't wait to see the next weird thing to happen because of the hormones.
Alana-I found some really cute baskets at The Christmas Tree Store, not sure if you have one around you but they were super cute and cheap! And you might want to stay away from the craft stores, they are rediculous, I looked at Michaels for some for my bathroom and one basket was almost $20! Shellie-Those closet systems are expensive, that is why DH is convinced we need to do it ourselves, but I would just love to have someone else do it and not have the headache! I was also thinking of taking the doors off the closet and maybe making a curtain to cover it when I wanted to hide it but Dh really wants a door, so I told him ok.

Shelly and Fossie I love your nursureys! DH usually builds our closet systems and entertainment centers. So Victoria's closet, entertainment (I know silly)shelving systems are in and just need cleared of Elizabeth's things. Now Elizabeths room on the other hand still a few weeks off...
Hope everyone had a great weekend. We just did a couple of things around the house, relaxed and a couple of quick shopping trips to the mall. We did order the babies bedding but I ended up ordering it from the disney store. (We love Disney).

Oh, I have the belly hair too and I made the mistake early on of shaving it so now I just have hair and stubble!!! People keep wanting to see my belly and it is so hairy and pale that I absolutely do not want anyone to see!
My freckles on my legs especially have gotten a lot darker and I have heard that your skin is much more sensitive to sun in pregnancy. Shelley - you have a nice dh - I asked mine if he would help me if it got too bad and he was like uh, no. I have to get a GD test at 24 weeks so not too long for me either. I'm lucky that our nursery room has a great walk-in closet with good built-ins but my issue is getting my husband out of it. For our entire marriage we have used separate closets and bathrooms - this combining stuff should be interesting. I have a huge master closet and I still don't want him messing it up! He is really resistant too - he wants to wait until we absolutely have to before we move stuff, I think he likes having "his" room.

Lol...I'm glad I'm not the only one with 'hair' issues! The stomach hair I noticed too, we were sitting outside and the baby was kicking and DH wanted to see. Well, I pulled up my top and in the glare of the sun it looked like a pasty round hairy egg! DH didn't say anything but I was mortified to see hair like that on my tummy area...where on earth did it come from?? I don't think he will help me in the trimming area either, I wish he would but I know he won't. You are very lucky with your DH Shelley.
![]() Sarah, I will definately be checking out that trimmer at Walmart. I might see if they have any baskets in stock like Shelleys also, otherwise I'll buy them online too. Justine, I'm not sure what they do for a c-section. They cut where the bikini line is don't they? I guess maybe they might need to shave some of it? And yep...there is no dignity left ahead for us girls. Jenny McCarthys book 'Belly Laughs' goes on about how she was terrified of pooping while pushing during labour...but not matter how much this worried her...she still ended up doing it. Which horrifies me too, but other than an enema what can we do? Would any of you girls not having a c-section use an enema beforehand? These are probably things to ask at a birth class, which I'm starting to think now I should be going too. ![]() And when does the third trimester start? Is it at 26 weeks or 28?
