Hey ladies, lets keep tracy's list updated by adding our expected due dates!

Jill 146 isnt really that bad depending on when your blood sugar was tested.
if it was upon waking up - fasting that is pretty high
but if it was the 1 hr mark - that is acutally decent
however if it was after the 2 hr mark - that indicates that your sugar was much higher over the last hour.

for a diabetic during pregnancy - blood sugars should range from 70 - 120 at fasting and the 2 hour mark after eating.....i am not sure what range they have for GD.

Hi All - I know many of you, some I don't but I was hoping to join in with you guys as I am expecting twins 10/10 but my OB said that the latest she would let me go is 9/27 so that makes them September babies (hoping they stay in there that long)!

So my appt. went well. Found out I passed my glucose test with flying colors, and I am not anemic, actually the nurse said most women at this point have some anemia but my levels weren't anywhere near that and she said whatever I have been doing to keep doing it, so therefore I can eat a frostie every day, lol! I am glad my eating habits are what they need to be, I worked hard to stop the snacks and eat healthier and I guess it shows. And I only gained 2 pounds, wahooo!! But I also found out that I won't get my u/s next time but the time after that =( I am thinking maybe I will see if there is anywhere else that I can get a 3D u/s done before then...oh and I forgot to ask my doc, does anyone know if there are restrictions on the type of bug spray?? they are starting to get bad where I live so I need to start using it soon! Hope you ladies had a great day!

Yeah Sarah!!!! no GD

as for bug spary, i have no clue, we have tubes in our walls and the bug guy comes once a quarter and fills the tubes with something that keeps the bugs from getting into our house.

Well they aren't bad around our house but I do go outside for about 2 hours a day, at least, at school with my kids, and then when I am home I work in my garden or just sit by my pond and watch the fish so I guess I will have to research!

Celeste- I am so glad you've joined the September Due Date Thread especially being that we were December Cycle Buddies! How's that beautiful princess of yours? Bet she's excited to have a brother & a sister joining her soon!

Sarah- I also passed the 1hr glucose test and so glad I don't have to do the 3 hr one!

Christine - Congrat's on Aiden being a girl - loved looking at the pictures you shared. Makes me want to schedule one so bad!

Well, I'm having trouble breathing and sleeping now and let me not forget to mention the swelling ankle-it seems to be only my left ankle. I wish it were both of them then it wouldn't look so bad!

Elisa - i am with you on the swelling! my Perinatologist said for some reason most women swell worse on the left! and they arent kidding - my left and right legs and feet are very swollen, but my left looks twice as big! last night i realized that my knees are now gone too and i had two great big dents in my thighs from sitting at the computer chair indian style!

as long as my blood pressure is good and there is no protein in the urine - my Perinatologist isnt concerned at all

i just feel like the michlan man mixed with the pillsbury doughboy!

Thanks All for the welcome!

Sarah - that is so funny, I was just thinking yesterday about whether or not bug spray was safe. I was going to ask my OB on Friday when I see her. Hopefully I'll remember, I'm so forgetful these days.

Elisa - It's so good to hear that you are doing well - I know what you mean about the difficulty breathing and all - I've felt that way for a few weeks.
DD is doing great and loving life - she is so amazing. I'm not sure that she really grasps the concept of having sibs, but she does like to rub my big belly!

Haven't had any swelling yet, but feel like I am gaining a pound a day! Poor Christine - no more indian style sitting for you!!

Well I have been chilling out and feeling very pregnant for the last couple of days. Everything is getting very uncomfortable. I hate to complain about it because this is what I wanted and I knew this time would come. I guess it just surprises me how quickly the weeks seem to be going by.

I am on a 2800 calorie diet since Monday and I have been following it carefully. My glucose numbers have been good except 2 hours after dinner they are around 130 - 135. I hate the diet but I will bare with it. Christine I can see what you mean that insulin might be the best thing. It's tough on me because I am starving in the morning but I can eat limited foods and carbs, ugh!

It is true that babies born from GD mothers are larger but there lungs and organs are not developed to meet their size. Sometimes they are big heads (there is a medical name for this) and often they are born with jaundice.

Celeste and congratulations on your twins!!

Sarah, congratulations on a good appointment and passing your glucose test!!

Justine, good luck with your u/s. It will be exciting to find out what gender the mystery baby is!!

I finally broke down and bought a body pillow and got it yesterday. I really love it but for a few hours last night I had to sleep on the recliner because I had acid relux so bad it was waking me up

I also have swelling....legs, feet, ankles, hands. I pray I don't get preeclampsia...

Hope everyone is having a great week. If I missed anything, don't take it personally, my brain is foggy
