I hope everyone had a great weekend. Yesterday was my baby shower. It was a lot of fun! Thank goodness my MIL decided to have it inside instead of a garden party because it was HOT here!! Got to love A/C. I was totally amazed with generosity of people!! Now I have the job of writing thank you notes. It is kind of fun though because I ordered some really cute triplet ones online with 2 boys and a girl in a pea pod!!

After the shower I invited some relatives to drop by the house to check out our nursery. I was totally surprised when I walked in the house and saw a triple Inglesina stroller in the livingroom!! WOW!! I spotted it on Craigs list a few weeks ago, told DH about it, he said he tried to contact the seller and then one day I noticed it was not listed. I thought we had missed out on it but DH bought it and surprised me!! It looks brand new!! I just can't wait to have little babies in it!!!!

Awww Shelley, that was so sweet of your DH! I love the stroller & the thank you notes! Just precious. Glad you had a nice shower. People really do get generous when it comes to baby showers. Definitely good family & friends.

Tell me, how did you upload the photos? I'm having such a difficult time doing this.

Enjoy going through all the new goodies for the babies!

Alana, in addition to hotels.com & priceline.com, try orbitz.com. I was able to get a decent hotel room using priceline a few years ago. Most hotels are pricey, but you may get lucky. Again, I'll try to get some info from my DH in the a.m.

Jill, try this to upload some pictures. Can't wait to see them

- first save pictures on your computer and you may need to resize them to upload
- to resize right click on the file name of the picturek, a menu will pop up, click on either medium or small to resize

TO UPLOAD
- begin a new message reply
- click on the paper clip icon at the top right of the message box
- click on the browse button
- select your file to upload from your computer
- click upload
- close window
- click on paper clip icon again and your file will be there and click on it to attach

I hope this makes sense. Have fun

Belly pix May 2008.JPGOk, here goes....
My daughter took the top picture. It was taken a few weeks ago. She's getting pretty good with a camera. I refuse to stop wearing my Springsteen shirt - it is getting a little snug!

The bottom picture was taken on Saturday. But I guess wearing all black totally camoflauges the belly! But believe me it does exist!

Thanks Shelley for the instructions!

Jill you are a beautiful, glowing mommy!! Great pictures.

I'm happy my instructions made sense, now keep them coming ....everyone.....lets see more bumps! Soon our babies will be here!!

Amy, yes it was a relief the shower went well, as I was freaking out before. It would have been horrible to have it outside with the heat. Also having GD made it less stressful about the food because I ended up not eating much anyways. I thought I would be on strick bedrest by now but I actually still feel good

Good morning ladies...missed you all!!

I got very little time to post since I have lots of work to do!

Shelley- Beautiful stroller and I love the thank you cards!! Glad you had fun at your shower! What are some of the games you played? We have a few fun ones in mind that I can't wait to laugh about and then the pretty standard ones that are usually played.

My shower is this weekend and I've been so busy getting things together with my sister and believe it or not I'm still undecided on what to serve! Lots of ideas but haven't made up my mind, lol.

Jill- oooohhhhh creepy story you posted about the snake! You are definitely glowing in your pic thanks for sharing!!

I had posted mine in another thread but I'll post here again. Hoping I have lots of good pics to share from the shower.

Christine- I think I've reached that point too- DH's assistance needed here as well with the shaving. I'm so jealous that you can wear shorts to work, not that I'd be brave enough to wear them with the swelling right now, either.

30 weeks today & I'm so excited...only 10 more to go!
So far OB says looks like a normal delivery, since placenta moved up so I don't think I'll be induced any time sooner.

Question for you all, what is the normal readings on blood pressure? I was at Wal-Mart last night and had to wait forever on prescription to be filled so decided to do my blood pressure reading there. I didn't remember them doing it at my OB during last visit. Anywho, the reading was like 126/80, I think I've written that the right way but it stated it was prehypertension based on numbers, should I be concerned or is it maybe due to the extra weight and stress right now? My heart rate was also at 81bpm. I think I read somewhere the normal was 60-70???

Well this wasn't that short of a post after all- Sorry!!

hugs to all!!

Jill you are beautiful!

Shelley, I love the triplet thank you card and look at that beautiful stroller. Did you get just about everything you needed from your showers? Do you have nursery pictures posted anywhere on here?

Elisa, your bp sounds find. What is normal for those not pregnant isn't always normal for those that are. I wouldn't worry too much. Enjoy the last ten weeks, they'll go fast!

Christine, so good to see you are also just shy of 30 weeks and counting down! Enjoy being able to control the AC and wear what you are comfortable in - I did the same thing only mine was in snow and cold!

Elisa, that's a great picture of you & DH!
My BP is always 110/70. But I wouldn't rely too much on those Wal-Mart BP monitors. My parents always say that it's off with theirs. Just have your OB check it @ your next appt. I wouldn't worry about it unless it got really high.

Jen, I can't believe that Ethan is 3 months old already! Before you know it he'll reach yet another milestone. Keep writing everything down in his baby book. I keep a notebook handy so when my daughter says something funny or really catches me off guard with a story, a saying or a big word I have to write it down!

Shelley, glad to hear you're still feeling good. I would imagine carrying triplets would be just exhausting. I feel like I'm dragging with just one baby! You are a trooper! But it'll all be well worth it. Does your OB predict a date for you?

Christine, all that talk about egg rolls has made me want nothing but egg rolls! My BIL is Filipino & his sister-in-law makes Lumpia Shanghai & I've already mentioned to him about taking his stash from his freezer! Love it! Hope my SIL doesn't object!

Stay cool ladies!

Jill, I definitely do this. It's easier for me to post it on his totsite and then go back to his baby book. Heck, I just filled out month two and month three milestones Sunday night in his baby book. I can't believe it's been 14 weeks already!

Shelley, Jill and Elisa - You all look fantastic! Pregnancy agress with you all.

My appointment went well today. Still with that same small amount of what looks like cervical funneling, but the closed portion of the cervix measures 4 cm so hopefully we're ok.

Finally bought a second crib and some baby stuff - still a long way to go though!

Glad everyone is well!!

Celeste-glad to hear the appt went well!

Shelley-how sweet is your Dh?! And glad to hear the shower went well!

Jill & Elisa-your bellies are just too cute!

Elisa-my heart rate is usually between 80 and 90 when I doppler and when I feel my pulse at my neck it is at the same rate. And I believe there is a point in pregnancy where the bp is different than what is normal...but I could be wrong. If you arent getting frequent head aches and that fast hb type feeling I wouldnt worry too much about it, you could always call the doctor just to see what they say.

So today I called my nurse because for the past two days I have been getting wet down there, and enough to make quarter sized spots in the underwear (sorry if tmi!) and she said that I could come in for an u/s to check the fluid level but of course I was halfway through my afternoon class and I cant just leave because I would have to call in a sub for like and hour so she suggested this new product that just came out on the market. Its like a panty liner and once it gets wet you are supposed to take it out and wait 30 minutes, if it stays blue after that it is amniotic fluid, mine was blue when I took it out of the liner but it went back to the original color within 5 minutes. So I called the 1800 number and asked if it was initially supposed to change color and she said if it is a fluid with a high PH it will and because it changed back to the original color it was most likely not amniotic fluid. So my question is what other fluid that we have in that area has a high PH? It is an interesting product and it will be interesting to see how many doctors start using it...

Elisa, that is a great picture of you and DH. I did not want a lot of games at the shower. We played a couple including a silly nursery rhyme one. The game I liked and everyone seemed to have fun was ~ 10 baby items are put in a brown paper bag with a number on it. The bags get passed around and each person has to guess what is in it. Some of the items were, pacifier, rattle, teething ring, nasal aspirator, baby spoons etc. Each person writes down what they think it is and the person who gets the most correct gets a prize and the mommy to be gets to keep all the items. A bonus point was given for one of the items if you got it right.

I am pretty much all set for the babies now. There are a few items that I will pick up. We also got gift cards and cash, that will more than cover the things we need. We would like to get a second hand single and double stroller, bottles and some head and neck support things.

I had a nutritionist appt today. She was impressed how I was managing my glucose numbers with diet. She wants me to increase my protein and continue to gain more weight.

As everyones belly button popped? Mine is beginning too. It is flat now..not in or out. Belly buttons freak me out. I hope it doesn't get all alien looking
