I LOVE Craig's List!!!!! Couldn't sleep last night so I looked around on there. Tons of stuff and the people in the baby stuff section seem so nice!

I was having a lot of contractions yesterday so saw my OB today and had a cervical length scan which shows that my cervix has shortened from 4.7 to 3.7 and has some funneling. I'm crazy nervous. I now have to see my doctor every week and have US every week. The US doctor thought that it wouldn't be an issue because as long as the cervix is over 3cm at this point, I have a 97% chance of carrying to term, even though it is twins. I can't help but be nervous though. I need to restrict my activity, but nothing more than that for now. We could use all your prayers to assure that these babies stay put for the next 12 weeks or so...

Hope everyone else is doing well...

Celeste- You & your two little ones will definitely be in my prayers! I'm glad they were able to give you some reassurance...it sounds like the odds are really good that you will carry to full term. Take it easy, keep your feet up and take good care of yourself!

Holly - Yea! I'm glad Jaden is doing so well! And what a wonderful Father's Day gift for your DH. :-) You'll love Once Upon a Child. I wish there was one closer to our area.

Celeste - the bright side is that you'll get to check in on them more often. 97% is still great odds and from what I've heard and read 3.7 is great - often people start out at that! At my last ultrasound I was just over 4 I think and they thought that was great so I am thinking you are golden! Will definitely keep you in our prayers!

I posted on the general boards and didn't get a response which of course worries me that I am really, really odd - I have having a sharp, sometimes burning, bruising type pain under my right breast right at my bra line. Yesterday I bought a larger bra and that doesn't seem to help at all. When I brushed against it today it was severely painful and now it is back to a dull pain. Has anyone else experienced this?

Fossie - not to be TMI, but is the pain actually in the breast tissue itself or below it? Is there any redness or swelling?
It's probably nothing, just some nerve irritation or something related to the changing structure of the breast, but if it is at all swollen or red or you have any fever, you should definitely see your doctor.

Nothing is TMI around here :-)! It is definitely below the breast - I guess at the top of my ribs. Very odd, I guess I will just call the doctor since I don't have an appointment until next Friday (the 27th) and that is my GD test so I don't even know if I will talk to the doc then.

Probably just a muscle strain or something - hopefully it'll be gone in a few days.

Celeste - sounds like your doctor is confident that you will carry the twins to term, but I am sure it is hard to not worry. Take it easy as much as you can.

Christie - your nursery plans sound so cute! Soon we will be able to start posting pictures of our progress. We live in a small house also, but I think we are going to try to stay in it for a few more years. Although our house is small and old, I just love it, plus it is our first house. The plus side is that we have a really large fenced-in back yard.

Holly - I took a yoga class a couple of years ago for about 6 months, so I wouldn't really say that I had much experience prior to this class. Prenatal yoga is not really like a regular yoga class, it is much more gentle. Our class focuses on muscles that are sore from carrying the extra weight and strengthening muscles that will help with labor. I would highly recommend it. My back and hips feel so much better today after going to yoga last night.

thanks for the info Tabitha! The class here in Stockton is only on Monday afternoons and I have a mtg next week so I guess it'll be another week before I can try it.

Celeste - I'll be thinking good thoughts for you!

Shellie - it does sound like just a sore muscle but giving your doctor a call won't hurt.

Celeste, strong and positive vibes are on your way that you and your little ones hang in there until full term. I will be thinking of you!

Fossie, I hope it is nothing more than just a pulled muscle that soon will go away. Keep us posted.

I am now obsessed with craigslist and gotta find me good deals as many of you already have.

Celeste - you and your little ones are in my thoughts. Sounds like your odds are really good to carry to term but I know it's hard not to worry. Take it easy on yourself.

Fossie - hope you are feeling better today.

We started painting the nursery this week. We were going to paint the bottom half chocolate and the top light pink but since our furniture is chocolate we thought the furniture would get lost so we are going with a pink and lavender garden theme. The dresser and crib have come in and DH is anxious to put it together but I told him he has to wait until we are done painting the room and putting up the chair rail.

It's so hot and humid here in SW Florida, I stopped to get gas and felt like I was going to pass out. DH is going to have to fill up my car for the rest of the summer.

Sending positive vibes to all.

I have DP fill up the tank every time b/c I am paranoid about fumes.

Melissa, the nursery sounds adorable! I can't wait until pictures!

Fossie, how long have you had the pain, it sounds like it could be shingles (though I hope it isn't because they can be really painful). Hopefully it is just a pulled muscle or something.

Celeste, it sounds like you are in good shape. I am rooting for that cervix to stay long and closed!

Talked to the doctor again today and they said that this is something they hear about quite often and attribute to rib pain or what they call rib flare as they start to move and expand and the same relaxin that can make your back and hips hurt can also make your ribs hurt because they are also softening and expanding. They said it could be that or a fibroid that is on the outer edge of my uterus and being pushed or losing blood supply, etc. They basically told me to take tylenol and use a heating pad and if it doesn't go away to call them again on Monday. I am going to assume it is normal and stop worrying because of course as I googled I ran across gall bladder issues, appendicitis, and most worrying HELLP or preeclampsia that would require delivery. Just hoping they are right - if it doesn't go away I will probably request another ultrasound up high to see if they can tell what is going on - they would be able to if it is fibroids.

Claudia - I have had shingles and it was the single most miserable experience of my life. This has shades of that just because it sometimes feels like a nerve pain but it isn't like that completely and definitely feels more like it is coming from inside rather than topical like the shingles felt.
