Hello from england ladies! Just popped on to check how everyone is..... glad to hear all is well.

Laura - I'm sooooooo pleased Kaylee is doing well

Amy - Good to hear that your girl(!) looks just wonderful. And I love the name.... though of course I am a little biased since that is my dd's middle name!

Abigail and I are doing ok in England, though am ready to come home. 3 weeks is a LONG time to be away, esp without dh and being 6 months pg! DD is sweet and a great traveller, but it's tough by myself. We're in London at the moment for a few days for a wedding etc, and it's fun but exhausting. I'm keeping so busy that I forget I'm pregnant then I wonder why I am so tired in the evenings! It'll be nice to slow down when we get home!

Well, take care everyone!

Hello girls,
I always hung out on the IVF forum and did not now this thread existed until a few days ago. I would love to join the list. I am 24 weeks today! I am having a girl "Haley" is her name. I am due 10/10/08. I have had along journey but I am trying to finally enjoy this and not be so terrified all the time.

Does anyone know how much baby Kaylee weighs?

Like I said, I've been keeping up with everyone and praying everynight for each of you..just haven't written.
I went on a cruise at the end of May and had been having "Braxton Hicks" contractions. I just ignored it because they weren't painful or anything. After three weeks of them I finally mentioned it at work(I cut hair) and a girl said "I had like 15 a day and they monitored me!" Since I am having like 40-50, I decided to call the doc. They sent me to Labor and Delivery to see if they were the real thing..and they were. I am continuing to have them every 15 minutes. They aren't painful..just uncomfortable. They are keeping a close eye on my cervix (which is at 3.7), and the baby, blood pressure and uterus are all good. I have a very relaxed OB that didn't even put me on bedrest...I can still work. Kinda scared about that one! But I have to go in every week to get checked. It's crazy! They measured the baby and he only weighs 1lb 9oz right now. But just wanted to give an update on me!
Oh, we let our 5 year old daughter, ZOE, name her brother and she chose baby Zane Joshua. Josh is my husbands name. Sorry this wasn't too much for a first post!
Take care all and I'll continue to pray pray pray!!

Welcome BZOE and Christie. With adding one girl and one boy I think the boys are still ahead by 1

BZOE - glad to hear things are fine and that they are keeping an eye on you. Sounds like they are still letting you work for now? Take care of yourself. At least it can be some comfort to know that you've made the 24 week mark. To answer your question, I think the last update said Kaylee was 1lb and some ounces but I can't remember exactly how many.

Tabitha - I too have heard horrible things about Target but it is the best option for me for somewhere that we have here and they have in the towns where my family lives. I registered at BRU too and Pottery Barn Kids but I imagine that Target will be the main place. The people hosting my showers were actually the ones who were warning against using them and so they are telling everyone to include a gift receipt, kind of tacky but apparently you end up with LOTS of duplicates that cannot be returned.

Have you guys seen the baby stuff at Restoration Hardware - so cute, I probably would have changed my nursery ideas if I had seen it before I ordered and made decisions! Speaking of, our cribs are in - yippee and we are going to try to put those together this weekend.

Welcome Christy and BZOE! Sorry to hear about the BH contractions but it sounds like you acted in time and they are on top of it now!

I am so excited to be 24 weeks which is officially considered viability! I know that I don't want them born anywhere near this time but it feels good to hit another milestone!!!

Brandy, I hope that those contractions go away so your little boy can continue to grow inside his little nest.

Laura, Thanks for updating us!

Welcome Christy and BZOE!!!

I went for my OB appt today and as my dr was listening to the baby's heart, it suddenly dropped into the the 90's for a few seconds, then returned to normal. He sent me to labor & delivery to be monitored. He said he didn't think it was anything, but better safe than sorry. So I went to the hospital to be monitored for 1 1/2 hours, and the baby's heartrate was in the 135-145 range the whole time. The nurse at the hospital told me to try not to worry, it was probably just a random thing, we just happened to be listening at the time. I actually didn't get too worried about it until it was all over, when I started thinking that there could have been something wrong. I know, crazy.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend. Once Upon a Child is having a clearance sale tomorrow, the kind where the prices go down as the day goes on, so my friend and I will probably go twice!

Morning ladies! I woke up this morning and the first thing I thought was "Yay!!!! I"m 24 weeks"

Thanks for the heads up on Once upon a child! I'm off to pick up some clothes I bought off Craig's list and go to BRU to work on my registry since everything I've done so far has been online.

Stay cool everybody - we have at least one more day of this crazy heat wave in Cali.

Christy & BZOE!

Fossie - Congratulations on 24 weeks!!!! I will be there on Wednesday....can't wait! Like you said, even though we want our babies to stay inside for quite a bit longer, it is still a wonderful milestone!

Holly - How are you doing in this heat? Ugh...I'm ready for it to cool off a bit.

My DH & Dad cleaned out the furniture for the baby's room today & my bedding arrived...YEA! I was worried that I wouldn't like my bedding in person (DH picked it out) but it's cute & very cheerful. I am ordering my furniture tomorrow & we are going to paint next weekend.

I SO wish there was a Once Upon a Child closer to where I live....I could do some damage at a clearance sale. :-) Happy shopping to everyone!

Happy Monday everyone!!!!

I'm off to work so I'll post about my Craig's list finds later today. Overall I'm very happy with my finds :-)

Thank goodness it finally got below 100 yesterday. I think the humidity added to the 106 on Saturday really got to me and I took a 3 hour nap Sunday!
