First of all, Amy you are brave. There is no way in the world I would ever let DH near my hoohah with a razor. Nope - too terrifying to consider!
Fossie - I'm sorry to hear about your stones. That is SO painful. ANd don't worry, the meds will not hurt the babies but not taking them and being in pain will raise your blood pressure a lot and that is not good for them. So take the meds to get through this and I hope it's over soon. Laura (Kory) - It's so good to hear from you and i am so glad that little Kaylee is hanging in there. We are all praying for you all. Christie - I hear heartburn can be awful and sometimes there is not much to do. I am quite sure, however, that you can try other meds that are safe. You doc is being a bit overly conservative or something. I hope that everyone is surviving the fires safely - eyes intact and all... Yeah for all the new 24 weekers!

See, this is why we get to give our children guilt trips when they are teenagers - horrible heartburn, suffering through kidney stones, and risking our hoohah's to mutilation (j/k)!
The smoke is still horrible - it just hangs there in the air and you can smell it. It looks like it's cloudy out, but it's really just smoke. They said around 800 fires in California and yes, a chance for more this weekend due to more possible lightening strikes. Ugg! My niece's daycare had signs all over saying absolutley no playtime outside again today due to poor air quality.

Amy - I'm so glad everything is OK with Lily....that must have been very scary. Between the hoohaas, vag u/s, and now peeing on ourselves...this sure isn't a glamourous time in our lives! But I know we wouldn't trade it for the world!
The smoke is still pretty bad here today. It smells so bad outside. I've lived in N. CA since I was 7 years old and have never seen it like this before. The fires are really, really bad.

Shellie & Christie - so sorry you both aren't feeling well. I hope you get some relief soon.
I had planned to continue getting a bikini wax throughout this pregnancy, but as the saying goes, out of sight, out of mind. I went one time, around 10 weeks, and haven't been back since. Due to the placenta previa I am on 'pelvic rest' anyway. I am a little scared to shave blind.

Wow! Lots of action today
![]() I read a little bit of what was going here earlier today and since I couldn't do personals because "work gets in the way" as always, lol. . . I waited until now. Shellie, hmm! Sorry to hear that you are under the weather . Two of my friends have had kidney stones and from what they described, the pain is horrendous. I feel for ya' girl and I hope that those darn stones pass soon. If they don't pass, did they tell you what would be the next step? Rest as much as you can.Christie, gastrointestinal issues run in my family (mom's side), acid reflux, heartburn, constipation. . . you name it. Not too long ago, my mom was given a very good recipe and ever since she started with that, 'adios' to those stomach issues, not all, but in its great majority, they are almost non existent. The recipe is very simple, take two spoons of flaxseed every morning with juice, milk, oatmeal, whatever you are having for breakfast and that has helped my mom tremendously. I don't take flaxseed every day but I do have it with oatmeal twice a week. I am not much of a grazer throughout the day and I agree, when one works long hours, it is easy to let the time go by fast and not have small meals here and there, so I am in your team with one big meals! Laura (Kory), ditto to what the other gals said. . . you are an AMAZING WOMAN! My prayers for little Kaylee continue for her to keep fighting. ![]() Amy, I am glad that it wasn't anything, other than urine. Lily is already what a spunky little girl she is, pressing on her momma's bladder ![]() To the Cali girls . . .Holly and Laura (Eriksgirl), ayayay, it must be horrible having to do anything outside with that smoke. Do you wear any contact lenses? I remember everytime my mom would deep fry fish years ago every other Saturday, I couldn't stand having my contacts on and being in the kitchen or anywhere in the house, because my eyes would burn like crazy. Hope you get some much needed breeze. My doctor told me that for the glucose test, I am to take my regular breakfast, wait two hours before going to the lab. Once at the lab, I will be given something to drink and they will test me an hour later. Does anyone going through the same routine for the glucose test? Just returned home from our first class we signed up. .. "Pups and Babies". It was good for DH to listen to the professional trainer and he has a better understanding on what to expect. On the way home from the class, while driving, I felt like ants were crawling around the sides of my SHE-thing area and I had this crazy urge to scratch and scratch. . . , (two days ago was my last shaving and I did a horrible job) I still haven't mastered the art of shaving blind like Amy has, and since I can't trust DH with a razor because at least twice a week, he makes himself bleed when he shaves his face, so let alone allow him near my tutu area with a razor. . . anyhow, I lift my skirt and I scratch in a very non lady-like manner, DH looks at me . . . I stop. . .I feel embarrased now because he saw me doing that. I stay quiet. DH asks "what was that all about?". I say "well, it itches, because I have not been able to shave and I don't know how to trim it either". DH doesn't get it and so inappropriately says "oh, your thing, uh?, well honey, at this point, that doesn't need a trimming, but a weed whacking". This is how I felt like doing to him . . . ![]() Tabitha, You have my admiration and I to you. I wish I could be brave and do the waxing but just to think about it, ouch! it hurts! Okay. . . enough of my rambling, geez! It is almost midnight here in the east coast. Good night ladies!

Good morning everyone. I feel much better this morning, I came home early from work yesterday and slept all afternoon. My stomach still feels sore down low, maybe its gas. I appreciate the recipe, I will definitely try it!!!
oh, the "weedwacking" comment is hilarious!! My DH always says it looks like I have buckwheat in the crotchlock. I already told him he was about to have to help me with that issue. Fossie- I hope you are feeling better too. So, they just make you pass them? Ouch. I wish I could send you Ca. girls some of the rain we are getting. I think we are forecasted 50% for the next 7 days. I can't imagine having all that smoke and fire around and not be able to "get away" from it. Today I will be working close to home, at two of our other stores helping to train the new office managers. I am excited, only a 15 min. commute instead of 1 hr 10 min commute. That instantly makes you feel better. Amy, I haven't noticed any gushes of water, but when I sneeze or cough, I have to cross my legs and that usually still doesn't work. So I understand all about peeing on yourself.

Morning ladies!
Netty - your post has me cracking up!!!! Thanks for all the well wishes regarding our weather. At least we are in no actual danger from the fire even if the air quality sucks. Poor DH works outside doing heating and air conditioning work and said there's blood now when he blows his nose The weather just seems to suck a lot of places right now. Hope the rain lets up for you in the midwest.Ah yes, the lovely urine leaking when we cough or sneeze. Isn't it lovely! Have a good day everyone, one more day until Friday! ![]()

I just returned from the urologist and I am in a lot less pain so I thought the stone had passed but alas he said it is still there and that I can expect more pain until it actually passes - he gave me a strainer to use when I pee (WEIRD). I am at work today and am uncomfortable but nothing like what it was. That pain was miserable and I was beginning to think that I just cannot handle labor and contractions, etc. but I talked to a couple of people who had kidney stones who had also had babies and they said that the stone pain was way worse than labor so I am going with that!
All of this grooming talk is too funny. I told my dh that I was very embarrassed about going to the doctor because of the shape of things down there but once I finally made it to the doc I was in such pain that I could care less what he was looking at as long as he could figure out what the heck was going on. My dh refuses to help and he makes really "nice" comments too and I have never gone the waxing route and probably don't want to start now so I guess it is back to nature for me because I agree, shaving and trimming blind is really difficult!!!

Shellie, I am glad you are on the mend. I hope the worst of the pain is over. I have heard the same from people you have had kidney stones - way worse than childbirth...
As far as the bush down yonder which I cannot see nor shave any longer: it has become an untamed jungle. I will have to ask DP to take care it - I am very lucky to have such a good groomer at my disposal. I guess I should utilize her more. Yes the fires are bad. I can even smell them in San Francisco and we are right at the ocean... I have an appointment with my midwife on Monday. I think She will send me for my gucose tolerance test. I am really nervous about it...urgh...

I have my glucose test next month, all he told me was to fast, which he said no sugar. He said I could have bacon, toast or something like that just nothing with sugar in it. But that's all they told me, I have no idea what will happen once I get there.
Another good morning today, feel really good and slept good too. I did get the heartburn last night so I drank a large glass of milk and then took the Pepcid. I managed to sleep good so that is wonderful!!! TGIF to everyone! Hope you all have a great FRIDAY!!!
