Claudia - I must say that last night was one of the tough ones because I was so jealous of everyone sitting around the firepit with their cocktails. I fixed myself a caffeine free coke in a rocks glass but it wasn't really the same :-).
Caroline - looking good, so teeny tiny - all baby! My doctor just thinks odds are stacked against me to make it much past 32 to 33 weeks, several large, continuously growing (so far) fibroids, twins, early BH contractions, and now the threat of GD but like I said, and told him my cervix is doing great and the babies are doing well so I'm still going to believe that I can make it to 36 at least! The biggest problem for pre-term labor is the fibroids combined with the multiple gestation from what he and the high risk doctor have said.

My goodness.... I can't believe some of you are handling 100+ degrees!! It got up to 88 here today and I couldn't deal with it, I started getting really dizzy in the grocery store parking lot! No way could I handle 100+!
Fossie - I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for those little ones to stay put as long as comfortably possible for you all! I'm sitting here writing and watching my belly move around like crazy.... I LOVE it!! Oh, and yay!, I too passed the glucose test!

Amy & Caroline - you both look so cute with your bumps! I love your dress Amy, it looks so comfortable.
My family shower will be August 2nd, and I am really looking forward to it. I will be flying home, and I am sure it will be pretty uncomfortable at almost 31 weeks. I made sure to reserve an aisle seat. I have definitely been having some pressure in the vagina area. At what week does the OB start checking the cervix? Christie - I agree, you should keep the name Bailee if you want. We got the crib put together yesterday, so now we are waiting on the dresser. And I still need to order a glider. When I find one that I like (and can afford) it is always out of stock, very annoying. Today I came home at lunch to find our cat, Arlo, sleeping on the pad on the changing table.

Shellie, how exciting that your baby shower is coming up this weekend. My mom is hosting mine for August 16th, it is going to be a luncheon on a Saturday.
To all the Cali mamas, please stay cool and drink lots of water! I know that you have been enduring high temp days and hopefully, they will pass soon. This week is going to be hot and humid over here in the Connecticut area, probably nothing compared to what you are having but I am already feeling uncomfortable. We have central air in the house and it doesn't matter how nice and cool it is, I have to strip myself down to wear a top and panties and I am a happy preggo lady. DH loves to see my growing belly and I love it too ![]() I think I would be more at peace knowing that my discomfort was more in the vagina area but it is in the opposite end. Today, I have not felt it at all. We'll see what the doctor says on Wednesday. Tabitha, I am not looking forward to the "finger checks" and I think that they will not be done until the thirty-something week, unless there are early symptoms of pre-term labor. By then, I will have a national forest growing down there, ayayay. I have my results from the glucose tolerance test and I passed with 117, the doctor's office said that anything below 130 is okay. However, I have been found to have an iron deficiency (anemia) so the office asked me to get SlowFE, iron supplements, and take it every morning with a glass of orange juice. My number was 29.5 and it should have been above 35. I didn't expect this but it may explain it now why I haven't gained any weight from May to June.

Netty & Caroline - Congrats on passing your glucose test...that's great!
Netty - I'm sorry to hear about the anemia. But, from what I've heard, it is easily reversed. Take good care of yourself!! My little guy has been so active today - it's wonderful! I was sitting in a meeting this afternoon & he was just moving & kicking all over the place. It's such a special & private feeling knowing that no one else around me knows what's going on. It's an amazing time for us & our babies! Ugh - I hadn't begun to think about the "finger" tests. I guess we should just look at it as one more step closer to our babies arriving. That being said, it can't be comfortable, though. Shellie - I can't believe how quickly your due date is approaching. You've done so well and I have a good feeling your babies are going to stay nice & cozy inside you for quite a while. Just keep taking it easy! August will definitely be a busy shower month for our group!!

I forgot to mention in the earlier post - for those without the craft gene ;-) I LOVE using Shutterfly and Snapfish to make memory books. I used our wedding photos and made one for each parent at Christmas and when my neice was born I made a "Birthday Book" that tells the whole hospital story. She loves to look at the pics and we love re-living the experience. It was especially fun reading it again on her first birthday.
The great thing is you can add whatever text you want so it's not just pics. I'm going to scan in my ultrasound pics and I've started jotting down little notes so I can combine it with my baby bump pics and make a little preganancy journal/memory book.

Oh Laura, Didn't that feel like magic and such a pleasant secret to know that your little guy was having a ball while his mama was attending a (probably

Good morning ladies!! I think I will stay with the name Bailee, although we may call her Grace. I was just so set on the name!!!
All the bumps are sooo cute. I will try to get a pic up at some point this week. I need to get a good one though, I am not very photo friendly!! It is true about the baby having a blast while you are in a meeting. We have them every Thursday and noone knows but the baby will be kicking and moving and bouncing off one side to the other. I have to try really hard not to laugh. I love it though.!!! Anyone getting a 3D u/s done? I have one scheduled for the 27th, and I am so excited. I haven't seen her since May and I am sooo ready to see her again!!! Hope everyone has a great day!!!

I am having my 3D ultrasound done on August 7th. I'm really excited to see him again! He'll be 30 weeks by then and we haven't seen him since 20 weeks. We should all scan & post our u/s pics!
Holly - thank you for the tip about Shutterfly & Snapfish. I've used those sites a little bit before, but never to create an album. I have hundreds of digital pics from our last few vacations, so that would be a great way to finally do something with them. Christie - congrats on deciding to stay with your original name!! Have a great day!!

Yesterday was the first day I had the I'm pregnant and hot feeling that wouldn't go away - I feel for you guys in over 100 weather - we are in the 90's but humidity is high so I don't think it is much better.
I have recently caught glimpses of one of the babies actually moving my belly which is pretty cool too. I have started to feel them all over instead of just in concentrated areas which makes me feel good because it makes me feel like they are growing and getting stronger. I am jealous of you guys getting your 3-D ultrasounds - it was really cool but we were a bit too early, I think ya'll are at the perfect time to get great results! I ordered personalized thank you notes to try to make all of the thank you note writing more fun and I am actually looking forward to getting them and writing them and of course, getting the stuff to write thanks for :-)!

Shellie - humidity and twins can't be fun! I'm working from home today and am so grateful. Just walking across campus for a mtg yesterday made my chest burn from the bad air quality. It ended up being 104 here yesterday and they have 109 forcasted for today. Let's look on google - current;y 96 and 36% humidity. FUN!!!!!
We have our 3D scan on Thursday and I can't wait. We had planned on going at 30 wks, but when we went at 21wks to find out the gender, they said 26 - 28 was better before the babies get too big and squished. Netty - I swear, the websites are really easy to use. Try it out with some fun pics of you and DH or something ;-) If I think of it, I'll find the link to the wedding one I made so you can see it.

Wow it's been busy here the past few days.
Congrats to the ladies that passed their glucose test. Christie - glad to hear that you are going to stick with Bailee. I think that if you aren't close to them which it sounds like your not there shouldn't be a reason you can't use the name. I come from a large Spanish family where we have several cousins with the same name. Love all the baby bumps. I don't really like the picture but here I am at 24 weeks. ![]() We worked on the nursery this weekend. We got the curtains up, completed the closet, put in the dresser and added some decorations to the wall. I will post a few pics later. As for a 3D u/s, my high risk OB said they would do it for us on Aug 4th so we didn't go to another place. Figure insurance can help pay for it and save us a bit of money. Showers - they are throwing one for me at work in mid August and the one for family and friends will be on August 30th (Labor day weekend). It seems everyone wants to come. I have family flying down from Chicago for it. Well gotta run - time to make dinner. Hope everyone has a great night.

Wow! Just got back from my camp trip and I had a lot of catching up to do!!
As for scrapbooking, I started on "Baby Zane's" album already. I use Creative Memories. BTW, if anyone wants anything from there I can give you my discount to help out!! They have adorable stuff!! I have LOVED looking at all of your baby bump pics! I guess when i sent mine i could've sent my face along with it! Sorry! As for pressure down below...I freaked the other day cause I woke up with this feeling of a brick coming out with every step i took. My doc said it was OK. It was a horrible pain all day long though. Also, my right ankle has been swelling A LOT on the inside. We should make a list of symptoms we are having! Well, I need to go put my foot up! Take care all!!! Brandy
