Tabitha - sorry to hear about that - sounds scary! I hope you get great results on the swab test. Good thing you are home and lets hope you stay that way for 10 more weeks - are you going to be put on bedrest now?

Tabitha - what a night! I'm glad things have calmed down and that you have a chance to rest today.

I had a horrible time sleeping again. I have a feeling my lower back pain is just going to be a constant from this point on. It's always given me trouble, so I think the weight and pressure from Jaden is just going to keep it aggravated.

I also had a dentist appointment today and almost passed out! I started feeling nauseas so they brought the chair back up so I could sit up and I think that bottomed out my BP because I started getting light headed, hot and clammy but was better after a few minutes. They did the rest of the appt with me mostly sitting up and the hygientist standing.

Happy 3rd Trimester!

I just can't sleep either - I think I am going to officially make a move to the chair in our living room that will help me stay elevated and maybe eliminate the acid reflux that made me vomit last night. I can't get comfortable either - but I hope it lasts for at least 8 more weeks!!!

Tabitha - how scary!! Definitley take it easy from here on out!

I have finally given in & began taking 1 tylenol every night before I go to bed. It's the only thing that helps me sleep for most of the night. I think my days (or rather, my nights) of sleeping in the bed are numbered. I have a feeling either our couch or recliner will be my new resting place.

Since I had the one funny reading during my 4-hour glucose test I have to see a nutritionist today. I have a feeling they are just going to tell me to watch carbs/sugar. But it should be interesting...I hope!

I can't believe how many classes & appointments I have coming up. It's going to make these next weeks really fly by! When are all of you doing your hospital tour? I go on September 9th, but I'm wondering if I should do it earlier.

Hang in there ladies...we are nearing the end!! :-)

Tabitha how scary! Stay hydrated girl! I have tons of BH contractions and I have an appt tomorrow where I will ask them to check my cervix. I am sure that the contrations I have are BH but there are so many of them sometimes I wonder if they aren't too effective!

Crazy, here we are many of us starting our 3rd trimester. I jsut can't believe it! I am starting to feel like I just can't get a good deep breath in sometimes. I know it just gets harder from here on in. We are int he home stretch though! (And boy I am not kidding when I say STRETCH!)

P.S. Amy - no more trips to the hospital ok?

Tabitha - what a scare. Hope all goes well for the next 10 weeks. Take it easy.

Brandy - glad to hear they were able to stop the contractions.

Amy - I second Claudia - no more trips to the hospital.

Claudia - I know what you mean about the breathing. There are times when I get into bed that I feel I can't take a nice deep breath.

Well we met with the pediatrician today. We really liked her. She shares the office with her husband who is an OB and since it's small and she doesn't have any partners she will be the one to always see the baby.

Hope everyone has a great week. We October ladies need to take it easy.

Laura - I had a tour of the hospital at my Marvelous Mutiples class on Friday and it was awesome. Unfortunately they didn't walk us throught the well-baby nursery, just the NICU and the step-down from the NICU but everyone was so nice and it was actually reassuring to see. We didn't even know where to park, check-in, etc. and it helped alleviate some of my worries, some definitely not all!

Laura I go on Sept 9th down here in Stockton as well. Kasier has a new Modesto hospital that is supposed to open Oct 1st so I keep saying it's going to be a race to see if they open on time and if Jaden stays where he's at until his Oct 11th due date. If so, we'll be one of the first one to deliver there.

okay ladies, no more hosital visits okay? I know each of you had a scare, take it easy!!!

No real news here. I still have a head and chest cold, but the Dr said to keep up what I am doing and just ride it out. I am trying but in this heat I find it sooo hard to breathe when outside. Maybe in a couple of days it will be gone.

I had my glucose test today, I guess I will know something later in the week. My Dr did tell me I am measuring ahead, and that they would watch me over the next month to see if they need to do an ultrasound to check her size before she gets too big.

I am going Sunday for my 3d/4d ultrasound!! Yippee!! I am so excited!!! I haven't seen Bailee since May and I am soooo ready to see her!

How is everyone else surviving the heatwave? It has just been terrible here, the humidity is what is so awful!!! The air is so thick and hot!!

Shellie, your nursery is coming along so beautiful. Great job and the lighting of the room is awesome

Claudia, congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I am excited for you and DP.

BZOE, geez! I hope those contractions stop once and for all until it is time for your little one to arrive.

Amy, please take it easy walking and everything else that you are doing. We want you safe and sound!

Tabitha, I am sorry to hear about your trip to the hospital. Stay hydrated! Even when you are inside the house, drink plenty of fluids. It is unbelievable how much fluids are leaving our body every time we take a potty break. Is anyone counting how many times an hour you are peeing? I swear, whereever I go, the bathroom needs to be close by otherwise, I feel desperate and with a full bladder.

Laura, I am also taking Slowfe. I was told to take it every morning with a glass of orange juice. I am also eating more green leafs and spinach broth, at least once a week. For the last two weeks, I have been feeling very tired and slow, but now I am feeling a bit better. Please tell us what the nutritionist recommended.

DH and I are having our maternity tour on Saturday, August 9th (9 am - 12 pm).

I have three classes (seminars) coming up in the next two weeks but they are with BRU, so I can win the basket of goodies Then, I have two other classes that I signed up with the hospital but they are not until September.

Amy-So glad you are ok! You have had too much excitement these last few weeks.

BZOE-I hope Thursday goes well and you go full term with your little guy.

Tabitha-Sorry to hear you had a scare too. Take it easy.

Shellie-Love the nursery.

Claudia-Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Fossie-I feel your pain with the acid reflux. It has been waking me up and I wind up vomitting too.

My glucose levels came back at 160 so off to the 3 hour test I go. My iron levels were a little low so I will take a supplement.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Tabitha-the first swab test i had at 24 weeks took about 2 hours to come back. The one I just had took between 45min-1hour. They just stick this big fat swab in ya and hold it there for 30 seconds. Not uncomfortable at all...promise! Blood is scary!! Sorry you had to experience that!
JenD-sorry to hear about the glucose test. And even sorrier you have to go through the 3 hour one. I hope all goes well!
My daughter has her "big sister" class coming up and is sooo excited! It's pretty cool what the hospital offers for classes!
Well, gotta go rest...ate too much Red Lobster!
Take care,

My other OB called me this evening (there are two in the practice). He says he is not sure I should take the swab test since I wasn't having any actual contractions. He said he and the other OB will make a decision and call me tomorrow. He says he does not know why the bleeding happened, it would make more sense if the placenta previa hadn't been ruled out. I am not sure what I can do to stay more hydrated, I always have a glass or bottle of water with me.

Jen - sorry to hear that you have to take the 3-hr test, hopefully you will have no problems with it.

It is exciting that our classes are starting soon. Our Prepared Childbirth class starts August 5th, and I think the hospital tour is August 21.

Brandy - that is too cute that your DD gets to go to a Big Sister class!

Jen - Sorry you have to do the 3-hour glucose test. Remember that a high percentage of women who fail the one-hour pass the 3-hour with no problems. I hope that is true for you!!

The nutritionist was really nice. She had me write down what I eat in a typical day & after she looked it over she said I'm doing great. Her only recommendations was to cut out my banana & glass of milk w/ breakfast and wait to eat those things until later in the morning. She wants breakfast to be ALL protein - which is just hard for me in the am, but I'll figure it out. Other than that it was just limit sugar, eat whole grains & lots of veggies.

Tabitha - sorry you are having a difficult time getting some answers. Hopefully they can put your mind at ease soon.

Brandy - the big sister class is such a cute idea! You'll have to tell us how your DD likes it!
