I agree on the whole snoring thing - I believe my dh when he says that I have started it up in full force but I think he can deal with it since I have been listening to him for years! I slept in the recliner, oversized chair last night and it was pretty good - my dh slept on the couch and we both moved to the bed about 4:00 AM just because I was so hot and our bedroom stays cooler for some reason but I just may have found something that works! It is unfortunate that the bathroom is a little farther away though!!!
Tabitha - definitely keep us posted. Netty - I have found more of a correlation nowadays with what I eat and drink. Yesterday before my ultrasound I had sweet tea and right at about the time of my appointment they were going crazy but although stronger lately it doesn't seem as frequent. Thanks for the comments on the pics ladies - it is too funny that I can already see that Katie has my dh's nose - he says it is a combo but I think she is going to look like him! I was so pleased with this new ultrasound place - they were so thorough, volunteered to turn it to 3-D, realized I was worried about the spot and made sure to check for cleft lip, etc, and were just all around great - about time I say! I was told that he didn't think I should still be working but that he would give me until August 1st and then I needed to go to at least part time and start taking afternoon naps and keeping my feet up (pitting edema still). It amazes me that doctors (or at least mine) still think that men are the breadwinners and the little woman is at home - he started telling me to take naps and keep my feet up and when I told him I work full-time he looked kind of appalled - ummm we do what we have to do - we couldn't have even afforded to get this far in the fertility process otherwise!

Thanks ladies! I feel a bit better to know that I am not the only one whose baby is not as active as I would like her to be. I will feel even much better when I go for my U/S this coming Tuesday to see why the baby is measuring big. I asked the doctor's office if that was going to be a vaginal u/s or belly u/s and they said that the doctor will decide on the day I go what kind of u/s I will have. Since I am almost 28 weeks, I imagine, it may be a belly u/s.
Tabitha, any news yet? Holly, you are entitled to have blah days and here is a little pick me up for you, hoping it brightens your day (at least the remainder of the day ![]() Okay, I have not been known for having any cravings at all during my pregnancy, however since yesterday, I have been thinking obsessively in a tall cup of bubble tea. I don't know of any good bubble tea huts here in Connecticut and the best bubble teas that I had were in New York and in China. If the weather cooperates this weekend, I may take the train to NY just to get me the darn bubble tea, well, I may have to drag my mom with me since I am not allowed to go solo to NY while pregnant. Anyone else with weird cravings out there?

Holly, a bubble tea is the most popular drink in Taiwan (where it originated from) and China and it is getting very popular here in the U.S. It can be served cold or hot drink and it is made of tapioca pearls. It comes in different flavors and colors; mango, lychee, papaya, coffee, etc, but the original is the plain one which is the one that I prefer and cold. It is just so refreshing on a hot day. The most fun when I drink the tea is to get to the tapioca pearls/balls which sink at the bottom, they can be pretty gummy, and some people can't tolerate to chew the bubbles. My DH is not fond of the tea because he feels as if he is chewing fisheye balls. The tea is served with a thick straw, big enough to pass the bubbles/pearl through it. You must give it a try as I am sure there are places that serve this drink in your area.

bubble tea, huh?? interesting...very interesting.
tabitha, how are you feeling today? did everyone sleep ok lastnight? it is getting harder and harder for me to get comfortable enough to fall asleep. holly, are you still feeling blah? hope not! but i think it is completely normal. i seem to go in phases. fossie, how are you? so, part time august 1st huh? is your work going to be easy going about that? i am stuck in "nesting limbo". i feel anxious and ready to have the entire house ready for lily. BUT we can't do anything until dh puts the floors down. he can't put the floors down until the dumb floor co. gets their act together and helps us get our floor in from wherever it is. so i feel stuck and am getting frustrated b/c i can't do anything more in the nursery. it's just an empty painted room. the furniture which i am dying to see is still in boxes. i hate "nesting limbo", it's no fun!

Tabitha- Have you heard anything yet? Let us know.
Ok- never heard of bubble tea, nor seen it. So is the cold version like a milkshake? What does the pearls taste like? I took 1/2 a day off yesterday, went and got the carpet and padding, went home and finished my bathroom with border, and cut all the grass. My sis is coming the weekend and we are finishing the nursery and putting the baseboards back up in the bathroom and I wanted the grass to look good for her. I did tell dh that my days of cutting the grass are numbered, it was not a comfortable ride at all and the two hours of sitting on that mower was a little much. Hope you all have a great weekend, will check in tonight but as busy as my weekend is going to be I may or may not be able to check in again until Monday. My 3d is Sunday and I will post pics as soon as I can!!

Bubble Tea does sound interesting - that is definitely not a craving of mine but I did wake up this morning thinking about guacamole and we are going to get it tonight at my favorite place!
Amy - my work is only ok with it because they have nobody else to do some of these things that they need so they do what they have to do. I am also in nesting limbo but mine is because I am just so tired and sore that I know it isn't a good idea to push it but I want so badly to get everything set-up and ready to go! I had no idea whatsoever that I would feel like this already or I would have done things earlier!!!

I am in the hospital. I woke up Wed morning bleeding again. Went to my hospital and they sent me to the bigger hopsital with NICU due to heavy bleeding, contractions and 1.5 cm dialated. By the way, the swab test was positive.
I am on magnesium sulfate which stopped the contractions and the bleeding has slowed down. The baby's heartrate is good, and he looked good on the u/s yesterday. The u/s ruled out previa or placenta abruption, so they are not sure where the bleeding is coming from. The doctor just came in and we are pretty much just trying to buy more time. Hopefully if the baby stays in good shape I will be here for a while. I have had the two steroid shots just in case. Hope you all are doing well. I will keep you posted.

Christie, I don't see the bubble tea as a milkshake since it is not really that sweet. And the pearls taste like something starchy, a mix between yucca and something else. I hope not to discourage you with my description.
Amy, I understand from a friend of mine who used to live in TX that there are lots of places that serve bubble tea. They also call it "boba" tea. I am also frustrated with the way how my nursery is moving along. DH painted the room over the weekend and we ran out of paint and a second coat is needed. The furniture arrived at the store but what is the point to pick it up if we still need to empty DH's dressers out of the nursery, paint it and clean it, urgh! Christie, you amaze me! Such a super chica you are! I have not been riding the mower in two months and knowing that you are still doing it, wow! Tabitha, sorry to hear about the results on the test. I hope your stay at the hospital is not for too long. Being there means that you are under a good watch. Sending the best to you! Shellie, that is good that your work will be able to accomodate. Happy Friday everyone ![]()

Tabitha - I hope that the bleeding and contractions stop and that your little boy stays right where he is for a little while longer. Keep us posted. Hopefully you won't have to stay in the hospital for too long.
Christie - I can't believe your still on the mower. My hats off to you. I won't go near it anymore, it's all DH's job now. Laura(hopin) - It's great to hear from you. How are you doing sweetie? Bubble tea sounds interesting....don't know if it's my cup of tea though. I slept better last night. I still tossed and turned and got up for the bathroom 3 times but was able to sleep most of the night. I think my snoring wasn't as bad either since DH slept in our bed last night. We put the crib together last night, we just couldn't wiat any longer. I can't wait until we buy the bedding set so I can put the finishing touches on the room. I still have a few more things to do but we are getting closer to being done. I took today off - just felt like I needed it. Going to do some shopping and just relax. Happy Friday and I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Tabitha - sorry to hear you're in hospital. We're all thinking of you and your baby, keep us posted as you can!
I hear you on the nesting limbo.... I want everythng done now, but am still waiting for things to arrive, and still trying to find a rug I like! BTW - I agree, bubble tea is delicious!! I have had no cravings this pg, infact almost the opposite where my appetite isn't quite right. I'm eating because I have to not really because I want to, and trust me, that is not like me at all!! Sorry to hear so many of you are uncomfortable at night. I'm fine, BUT, I am having some real issues with leg cramps... anyone else? Every night I am woken up at least twice with really painful cramps that make me jump out of bed and pace the room. I've tried salt, bananas, water, etc etc...... Laura....nice to hear from you, how are you?
