Claudia - I'm so glad everything is OK and that you feel reassured. Ugh about the speculum exam....those are just never fun at all!
Amy - welcome back - Sounds like you had a great baby-moon! As you all know, I've been stressed out about lack of movement with my baby. At my u/s last night they told me my placenta is covering the front of my stomach so that is why I don't feel nearly as many kicks as other people. He has to kick extra hard for me to feel it. I feel SO much better now that I know that. I still wish I got to feel as many kicks as all of you. My DH still hasn't been able to feel him move. But as long as he is healthy, I'll get over it. I completely ran out of time today to upload my u/s pics. I'll definitely do that tomorrow. So, any baby showers this weekend?

Tabitha,
Thanks for letting me know. I am so looking forward to hold my little baby. Your little George is such an inspiration. How are recovering from the c-section? Is someone driving you to the hospital? I know you mentioned your family was arriving today. It will be nice to have helping hands around. Amy, welcome back! Can't wait to see pics of your shower and of course of your trip. Melissa, good luck on those results! and yay for having a date scheduled. October 22nd is D-day!

3D Ultrasound pics
Here are pics from our 3D ultrasound. I just love the picture of his little arm & hand as he is rubbing his face. Little guy was sleepy last night. I hope he's that good of a sleeper once he's born!

Laura,
Your little guy is precious! He looks very sweet. Can you tell from the photos if he looks more like you or DH? When DH and I saw our litte girl, it was so distinctive to point her features and say that Ella has DH's forehead and eyes and she has my chin and maybe my nose.

Laura your pics are wonderful!! He is gorgeous!!
Today was a bad day. First of all, last night, dh and I had an argument so sleeping was not good at all. Then I got up this morning and instantly knew that I was grouchy and so, so tired. Work was very draining, probably because I was already stessed. I came home and felt so relieved it was Friday and Dh and I argued more. I am sitting here totally exhausted, mentally and physically, and yet all I can think about is us arguing. I can't sleep at all. He thinks I am terrible, and I have to admit, I do complain SO much more than I ever have. I chalk it up to being so tired all the time that my patience is wearing thin. He thinks I am just down right mean. He is right about it being my fault sometimes, but he is at fault too. But to make him understand his errors, impossible. He works 6-2 Monday through Thursday with every Friday, Sat and Sun off. I work Mon-Fri and with my commute it is 7-7. Then I have housework to do, the nursery to do, the dog to care for. I just feel like he could do more, and he has, but he could still do more. I came home tonight and he was grilling, which was really nice, but the kitchen was torn apart. So I had to stand on my swollen feet and clean it. It made me angry. Ok, no more venting, I have to go to bed. THanks for being here, ladies, it means so much

Oh Christie - I hear you! My DH is wonderful for the most part but I have those moments with him too! This last week or so I've been really really uncomfortable with a lot of pelvic/vaginal pressure and pain, and it's made me pretty grouchy.... and DH just thinks I'm being mean and short tempered. I swear he thinks I'm pretending if I wince when I'm picking DD up out of the bath or something similar....... I love him to bits and he really does a lot, but they just really don't get how much our bodies change and how that affects us..... if they could experience it for a day I think their whole outlook would change!
And it's fine to vent.... that's partly why we're here!

Christie - I'm so sorry sweetie. Arguing on top of all we are already going through mentally, physically & emotionally is tough. I know you & your DH will work through this time. In the meantime, I hope you can get some much needed rest. #1 priority is taking care of you & baby!
Netty - I'm pretty sure Luke has my nose and (hopefully) my chin. Other than that, it was hard to tell. My DH and I both played a lot of sports growing up, so we were checking out his throwing arm and trying to decide whether he'll be a pitcher (like me) or a quarterback (like DH). :-)

Laura - the pic with his arm across his face is so precious! Glad you got an explanation for not feeling as many kicks as you would like. I'm sure that's reassuring.
Can I just tell you it's such a relief to hear that I'm not alone on the emotions! I literally was signing on tonight to see if it was only me. I too am really irritable, although for some reason it's expressing itself externally in tears. I think I'm just so tired and uncomfortable that it's wearing me down emotionally and I just don't have the energy to get mad so it comes out in tears instead. Oh the fun of pregnancy! ;-)

claudia - glad to hear that you went for monitoring, at least to ease your mind. when I went to the hospital the first time, I was a little dehydrated and having mild contractions and didn't know it. better safe than sorry.
amy - glad to hear that you had a nice vacation. jen - hopefully the nutritionist will be able to help you with dietary changes that won't be too difficult. laura - love the pics! christie - sorry to hear you are having a difficult time. hopefully your dh will realize that you need more help, especially after bailee arrives. I hope everyone is able to get plenty of rest, even though it is getting more difficult. my parents are here, and we are going to visit the baby this morning. they are only staying until monday, but it is nice to have them here. do you all have plans for mom or other relatives to stay with you after your babies are born?

Holly - I was in tears yesterday morning as I was getting ready for work...for absolutely no reason. I agree with you that it is a combination of hormones & lack of sleep. I've been awake since 4am this morning and I had been hoping to sleep a bit last night b/c I was so tired last week. Oh well, I guess this is to be expected, even though that doesn't make it any easier.
Tabitha - How nice that your parents are there right now. Is this their first grandbaby? I can't wait to hear how your visit with Geroge goes this morning. My parents live about 5 minutes away and my DH's parents are 15 minutes away...so we will have lots of family around. My parents are retired so they will be available to help as much as we'd like. My DH's parents still work, but that's a good thing. I really love them, but we view the world quite differently and I think it would be hard to have them around too much in the beginning. This is the first grandbaby on both sides so I know we'll have plenty of visitors.

Christie - sorry to hear you had a bad day. I hope you were able to get some rest last night. I know that you and DH will work it out. We are here for you to vent anytime you want.
Laura - love the pics of Lucas, he is soo cute. Tabitha - give baby George hugs and kisses from us. How are you doing with your recovery? After Amara's born DH is taking 3 weeks off then my mother who lives 5 hours away is going to come back to help me out for 2 weeks once DH goes back to work. I figure that should be enough time to recover from the c-section. Dh's family lives 2 hours away so we won't be counting on them for help. Luckily my neighbor has basically adopted us so she will be helping me alot. She is also the one that will also be taking care of Amara when I go back to work part time in January. Well DH is going to the Dolphins/Bucs game today so I will have a nice relaxing night after some shopping. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Laura - the pics are precious.
Christie - so sorry to hear about the arguing. I am an emotional wreck too but mine is mostly crying and worrying - I had a really rough 1st trimester with the emotions and fighting with dh and getting irritated at everything and I feel like it is coming back now - like someone else said probably because of the discomfort, and fatigue and anxiety that we are about to be parents! Tabitha - so glad to hear everything seems to be going well - please continue to keep us updated and have fun with your family. My family all lives about 8 hours away which sucks and my parents are divorced and not too amicably but they are both going to here with their new spouses when the babies are born and then my mom is going to stay for two weeks or so, my dad for some time after that and then my aunt and sister are coming up. People have warned me that I am not going to want family and people around for that long but I think we are going to want as much help as we can get and we are lucky me and dh both get along with both sides of the family. My dh's parents live here in town.

Morning ladies!
Laura - We could have been talking to each other last night since I was up from 1 - 5am! Partly insomnia and partly irritated with DH for staying out with his friends longer than he said he would so then I couldn't sleep once he got home. Depending on when Jaden arrives, my mom may or may not be able to come over and help. She's a teacher and they have their "fall break" the first two weeks of Oct. Jaden's due date is actually the Saturday before she goes back, so if he's early, she'll be over here during the day to help out. DH's step-mom is retired so she's available when ever I need her. She's also going to watch Jaden when I go back to work, so even though she can drive me crazy sometimes, I'll appreciate having her over here and getting to know Jaden and the routine.
