Shellie- Thanks for the update and we do look forward to pics. Glad to hear they are doing well and are in the nicu where they will get the best of care.

Netty-We didn't get alot from Hannah. She is not a huge rain producer. Yesterday we had a light to medium drizzle of rain with winds around 30mph with some gust. But for the most part, she was a pushover, thank goodness!!

Tabitha- Baby George is growing so fast!! And yes, you do look so happy! I am sure he will be home before you know it, and I am thinking he is beginning to look more like your dh (sorry, I still think he favors you too).

Shellie, thanks for the updates. I am so excited for you. I am glad the twinnies are doing well.

Tabitha I am so happy to hear George will be coming home soon! He is gorgeous!

We have another shower tomorrow. The "old lady" shower as my mom is calling it. All our old family friends will be there.

Today our Doula is coming over to go over final touches to our birth plan....

Netty, cheesecake sounds sooooo good. Like for breakfast right now.

Stay dry out east ladies! We are trying to stay cool in the bay area.

Thanks for the complements, ladies, you all are so sweet!

Shellie - while it is tough I have to say the time really has flown by. Is your dh going to be able to take time off work to spend time with you at the nicu? I highly recommend kangaroo care as soon as your babies are able to do it, I think it is a great way to bond which can seem difficult in the nicu. Looking forward to seeing pictures!

We are still having our shower next weekend. It seems a little weird, but our friends are still into it.

hi girls. sorry i have been MIA lately. i wish i could say i was doing well, but that would be a lie. work has been more stressful than ever and i am having to put in tons of extra hours. after my kidney stones i have been feeling so run down and just exhausted. i noticed last night that i have been chomping away at ice for about 4 days now (like A LOT) of ice. i idid a little research and turns out that can be a sign of low iron anemia. this morning i woke up and have a horrible head cold, sore throat and headache. (didn't i JUST get over this??) i am just frustrated. i am normally a very healthy person and i hate feeling run down. anyway, enough about that!

shellie~ congrats on your twins, i can't wait to see pics. i will pray that their stay in nicu will be short.

tabitha~ baby george is so handsome, and i bet he is home before you know it.

claudia~ good luck today w/ your doula!

netty~ that was sweet of your dh. and it sounds yum too! your shower was so beautiful!

brandy~ i think you are next!

Amy I am so sorry that you are having such a hard time.
Take it easy, and definitely let yourself take some time off work if you need to! I am sure you have already had to with the kidney stones but you really need to take care of yourself and rest and de-stress and heal.

We are all here for you!

Amy - I'm so sorry to hear you've been feeling so bad lately. I started iron supplements for anemia a few months ago and they helped me so much. I feel much more like "me" again - more energy & sleeping better. Hopefully your doctor can get you feeling better asap!

Shellie - Sounds like you two little bundles are doing great! Get some good rest while you can....babies are coming home soon!

I hope everyone dealing with rough hurricane weather is doing well & staying dry. I wish I could send you some of this horrible heat we've been having lately. Claudia & Holly -stay cool! I thought I was going to melt the past few days.

I'm off to my breastfeeding class this morning and then to a good friend's engagement party tonight. Should be a fun day!

Getting back on here is always a nice pick me up!

Tabitha - Baby George has grown so much in the last few weeks! He looks so strong.

Shellie - So glad to have an update from you. I'm sure this week has been a whirlwind for you. I'm glad things are going well. I would imagine it's hard to leave the babies at the hospital, my sister had to do the same thing with my oldest nephew, but at least it is comforting to know that they are getting the best care and will be home soon.

Claudia - Thanks for reposting the due dates! It's all coming so fast.

East Coast ladies - I echo what Claudia and Laura said. Stay safe in this weather you're having. As much as this heat is killing me, at least I can sit inside an air conditioned house. I gave up worrying about the PG&E bill and keep the house nice and cool. I'm lucky I don't have to worry about wind, rain or property damage! Many props to you ladies ;-)

Laura - You have quite a busy few days!

Amy - hang in there hun. I know it's easier said than done, but try to take care of yourself and keep work in perspective.

Amy., no wonder I eat ice like crazy. But my iron was back up on my last visit, don't know for sure if it is where it should be but they said it was up and that I did good eating the right foods. But I love ice, and stay thirsty most of the time.

Well, Dh had the stomach flu that has been going around here this weekend. I haven't felt good, but I don't seem to have the bug. I laid around on the couch most of the day and slept off and on. I am so ready to have some energy back. One thing I think is that we work so hard during the week that by the weekend we are all just exhausted. We put all of our energy into work!!!

Hope you all had a good weekend!!

I've been feeling very tired lately and just havent posted much lately but have kept up with everyone's posts.

Tabitha - baby George is getting big. He is a cutie pie. Can't wait for you to have him home.

Amy - you haven't been feeling well. Remember to take care of yourself and Lily and try to take it easy at work. It won't be long before Lily is in your arms and all the issues you've had will be a distant memory.

Shellie - glad to hear the twins are doing well.

Claudia - when you get a chance can you update the list to show my c-section on October 22nd. Thanks.

Well I didn't do much all weekend but slept alot and I did manage to wash Amara's clothes and started organizing her drawers and closet. I did 3 loads of laundry and still am not done. I tell you I won't need to buy this little girl any clothes for the 1st 6 months. I'm hoping to be completely done with organizing her room and packing all bags within the next 2 weeks.

We are all getting so close, I just realized that Amara will be here in 6 weeks. I wonder who will deliver next.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend and a great week coming up.

I had the day off today but was going to go into work for a few hours to get some work done that I have been very behind on. I was stressing so hard about it and then I decided that what I really needed was to just have a day for me. I went to yoga, took myself to lunch and then went to acupuncture. Now I am home and I think I might take a nap. Very good decision if I do say so myself!

I here all of you on the tired part. I am just exhausted. I will have little bursts of energy and then it just peters out and I have to go lie down.

Claudia - It sounds like you had such a great day! I'm jealous. Good for you!

Amy - I really hope you are starting to feel much better!

Melissa - sorry to hear you've been feeling run-down lately. I definitely have noticed a big drop in energy & stamina lately. And it's so hard because there is still a ton I want to do before Luke arrives. Isn't doing baby laundry so much fun??

My showers last weekend were wonderful. I had a great time at my work shower on Friday and then a wonderful tea-party shower at my Mom's good friend's house on Sunday. I'm just so amazed at how generous everyone is...it is so touching!

So when is everyone going to stop working, if you haven't already? My plan is to work until October 3rd. I know I'll go a bit crazy if I'm home too long...or I'll just shop! :-) But it is getting harder & harder to motivate & get ready for work in the mornings. I can see why some people take a month off before baby comes.

My plan was to work from home on Mondays and Fridays until Oct 1st, but my body is not cooperating. I've been getting a lot of symptoms when I'm on my feet for as little as 20 mins. Either BH, muscle pain or light headed. Uggg! The upside is that once I'm off my feet, it goes away.

I have an appt tomorrow so we'll see if it's just normal pregnancy stuff or if Jaden's trying to come early from me doing too much. I have a lot of respect for you Claudia for taking such good care of yourself!

It's been quiet on here..... I've been lurking though.... and I too am in the exhausted stage! Sooooo tired and sleepy, and like you Holly..... if I do too much on my feet I get a lot of 'symptoms'. Which means I get a lot of symptoms because it's kind of hard not to be on your feet with a toddler! Well, only 3 weeks left for me, but she can come anytime now as far as I'm concerned!
