Question for all of you about your symptoms.

First I want to congratulate all of you who had such wonderful u/s. Wow, quads and twins all over the place. Double on the quads.
to all of you who have joined us. It is nice to see some of the January group. MsFritz I am so glad that Poky is doing so well. You have inspired us all.

Ok, I have only started getting a little m/s in the evening on my way home from work. Burping does help, which is not something that I normally do all day long. No sore (.)(.) to speak of, but they do feel very full.

I am a little tired, but not as much as I remember from my last pregnancy. I know it is a little early, but I am still a little causious.

Please let me know what symptoms you have and when they started.

A big to our newest members!

The days leading up to my u/s are just dragging by! I'm so scared that we will get to the doctor and nothing will be there. Ugh, I hate having these negative thoughts in my head...but they just keep creeping back in. I am resisting POAS because I know that will just make me more crazy. I am just praying that God protects this little one and that this one is strong & health. I wish the m/s or sore (.)(.) would start. I, too, am poking like crazy!
(I'm so glad we have each other to share these kind of things with. My friends just can't relate like you ladies can!) It would be nice to know what symptoms are pregnancy related and what are from the progesterone supplements.

You ladies are all amazing...let's keep the wonderful u/s results coming!

I too am terrified of going to the ultrasound and finding nothing, but I'm trying to stay positive. But it's so hard!!

I asked a friend of mine who is currently 4 months along on her second pregnancy when I get to stop worrying and relax. She said, "never, you will worry about this child for the rest of your life, you're a mom now!"

She is so right! The level of worry and anxiety may change, but we are MOMS now and I think it's only normal for us to worry about our babies!!! We just have to take it one day at a time and handle everything as it comes.

I am so excited about this new journey and I'm glad I found people to share that with. October is going to be awesome!!!!

I was scared to death of my first u/s yesterday. I have been scared of an ectopic pregnancy or a blighted ovum (DO NOT GO LOOK THOSE UP!!!) The second the u/s started, my fears were instantly gone. I immediately saw the black sac I wanted to see so badly. Then I saw there was actually something in the sac. I held it together up until the point that my DH and RE said that the movement on the screen was the heartbeat. I completely lost all control of my emotions at that point.

Now I just worry about a m/c. There have been several women at my work that have had them this school year. I have talked to one of them, and she said that at her u/s she was measuring over a week behind and saw only a flicker of a heartbeat. I havne't had the chance to talk to the other 2 women yet. I read somewhere that once you see the heartbeat there is a 95% probablitly that you will deliver a healthy baby. I just keep trying to remember that.

Do your best to remain calm. I finally prayed one night and gave all my nervousness to God. If I started feeling nervous, I would just remind myself that God is handling that for me. Helped me a LOT!! Plus, while I was on the table waiting for the RE to come in, I said one last prayer. I'm still praying now, but more prayers of joy than anything!

Good luck at your u/s. And once you see the sac, enjoy the rest of the u/s. It's truely amazing!

Too late on not looking up blighted ovum and ectopic!! The internet can be a blessing and curse!!

Prior to your u/s did you have any symptoms of being pregnant? I guess that is what is worrying me more than anything - the fact that I don't feel pregnant. I do have fatigue, but I have no other symptoms yet. I know logically that every woman is different and some women don't have as many symptoms, but I guess I've just been hoping to see some as a sign that everything is good.

And yes, I have heard the same thing about your chances of mc being extremely lowered after seeing a heartbeat. Congratulations - it sounds like your well on your way to a healthy little angel.

I too was a nervous wreck before my u/s and was crying like a big baby because nerves just overtook me. The good thing that the nurse did is tell me that she wasn't going to talk for the first little bit while she determined what was going on so it helped me that I knew why she was silent and then she kind of let out a suprised "It's Twins" and I was just so relieved - not about twins (although I am excited) but that there was something where it was supposed to be! I have fibroids so I couldn't tell if what I was looking at was that or baby so I wasn't reassured until she talked.

Shelley - I so agree with the worry thing - I was so, so worried about the ultrasound and now I have been looking up multiple birth information and am now so worried about a ziillion other things - it never ends! Try to hang in there and not do like me - I obsessed so much that I looked at every other due date board and tried to determine the likelihood, based on other people's experiences, of seeing a heartbeat by trying to see how many other people had not seen one at their first ultrasound - crazy, I know.

MsFitzy - Thank you so much for the encouragement...I really appreciate it. Praying really is the only thing that lessens my anxiety. I need to remember that this is in God's hands and His will for my life will be ultimately wonderful.

BIG Congrats on your wonderful ultrasound...there really isn't anything more beautiful than your baby's heartbeat!!

Good morning ladies!

to our new members! It's been a busy couple days on here.

I am now on the work part of my trip and had some down time yesterday which let the fears of my u/s on Monday creep in. I seem to have less symptoms than a week ago, but I also know that I'm really tired from the last few days of fun so I need to just hang in there.

Unfortunately, after the initial relief Monday, the fear will be back to see if we will make it past 11 weeks this time. I posted this on another thread, but they really need to invent a sensor for our bellies that say or throughout the pregnancy (or at least the first trimester).....and it has to not be fooled by progestrone supplements!

Have a good day ladies!

The symptoms question is a big one and I just don't think there is a good answer. Everyone is different, progesterone and hcg affect people differently, blah, blah, blah! It is so frustrating not to just be able to tell what is going on!!! That being said - I always liked to find out what everyone else was experiencing so I'll say that before my u/s I was really tired earlier than usual, excessively hungry and thirsty and had sore (.) (.) - but I had those since starting PIO. Not much to go on unless I was REALLY looking!

I really haven't had any symptoms at all. I was very tired a few weeks back, but that's almost completely gone. And I'm not sure if I was tired due to PIO, pregnancy or because my DH snorzes!! My (.)(.) don't really hurt, but they are synsitive. Sometimes I feel synsations in them somewhat like cold chills running just through my chest. I wake up thirtsty, but not dying of thirst. Absolutely NO m/s at all.

I did find out from a co-worker today that one of her pregnancy symptoms (her OB confirmed) was nasal congestion. I have been sneezing like crazy, but other than that, no cold symptoms. So maybe that's one of my pregnancy symptoms as well.

Now my mood swings....I can go from happy to extrememly pissed off within seconds. I actually yelled at my DH for over 5 minutes because he drank from my straw (he does have a cold) and then he tried to switch straws out with a crappy one and I lost it. He cowered to the side of the couch. I felt horrible, but not really sure why that set me off so much!

I was pretty determined that I was having an ectopic pregnancy. Everyone will tell you that I talked about it constantly. Every twinge in my side, every pain in my back I related to that. But my RE said everything is exactly where it should be and doing fine. So I guess I was worried for nothing.

I don't know if any of you are having the same issues as me with being "stopped up" because of progesterone but I was having major constipation problems and switched to a pre-natal vitamin with a stool softener that has worked wonders! Just FYI if you are not already on one like that.
