I had an ultrasound yesterday.

The RE was concerned because she didn't think that my HCG levels were rising a much as they should (although they more than doubled in the last beta). I was scared because for about 10 minutes all we could see was a sack and nothing else. Then I moved and the little bean popped out and we could see the heart beat. The RE said that I measured a day or two behind what I was suppose to be, but nothing to get excited about. I go back next week for another u/s and if everything checks I will be released to an OB. I am so relieved and .

Congratulations to all who had u/s this week.

Even though I am only 6 weeks, my pants are already very snug. I don't know what I am going to do when I get bigger.

to all the "new" folks.

for all those who had great ultrasounds.

Claudia - I was definitely surprised that they doubled in size in just one week and the heartbeats really improved - although in looking at alll of your numbers it seems there is quite a bit of variation.

My official US2 is March 5th after which my first OB appt. is March 12th.

So many people knew we were going through IVF because of obligations that had to be cancelled (i.e. tennis leagues) that we were asked how it went almost immediately and couldn't keep our mouths shut so everyone knows! Not as many know about twins but it seems that it fuels the rumor mill so more people than I thought now that little piece of info too.

I am bloated and thinking seriously about getting a band but for now my lowest cut jeans are working out ok! (I'm lucky that I can go real casual to work!).

Great news

I just had my 1st US and great news:
We saw 1 baby measuring 6w6d in the UTERUS with HR 140. It 's a dream come true. But there is a 2nd sac but looks smaller and no HR so we are not sure if it is a viable twin. My RE will repeat the US in 2w so we can confirm if is 1 or 2. To be honest my heart was always telling me it was 2, looks like the chances for the 2nd one are slim and I am super happy with one too.
We were pleasantly surprised when we got out of the exam room as all the clinic staff, including the embriologist, came to congrat us, it was a very touching moment.

Thanks again for all your . It is working.

Wow, that is a long time to wait for a second ultrasound - I don't think I could handle it - way to go, you are much more patient than me!

BTW - those heart rates were similar to what mine were at 6 weeks 5 and 4 days - I'm glad to see it since there seems to be so much variation!

Hopin4baby: Wow! I agree that is a long time to wait especially with multiples. Have you talked to others on the board pregnant with triplets to see if that is the norm?

Hello Ladies-
I had my first ultrasound yesterday and we saw one little peanut with a hb of 108 bpm. It was so incredible to hear that! DH and I are over the moon
I posted this in the IVF section, but forgot to update my "due date" buddies. It feels almost surreal, it is like it hasn't sunk in that I am pregnant and I often forget to come to this forum.

Tina-My pants are already feeling tight on me and forget about my undies. . .I need to get some new ones because the ones i have are already small.

Love you ladies

Congratulations Chie and Che Girl on your ultrasounds! I'm glad that you got to see your little beans.

Claudia and Fossie - good to hear that you both are doing better. I had a little spotting episode yesterday and it was quite upsetting. I had an US on Tuesday, so my doctor said that is probably what caused the spotting.

We got to see our little baby again on Tuesday. We had our first visit with my obgyn, and he did another ultrasound. I will go back in two weeks for an exam, not sure if I will have another US yet.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

That is great Tabitha - glad to hear things are going well.

I had my progesterone levels checked as that was the only thing they could think that may have caused the spotting and they were fine so we have no idea - I think maybe I was just too active and it was a sign to slow it down - I hope it was an isolated incident! About a week ago I switched from PIO to crinone and they said it may be irritating the cervix but this was just a routine bathroom break almost 24 hours after the last crinone so who knows.

I wish the ob would give u/s as frequently as the re - I'm getting addicted to making sure all is ok in there!
