Claudia- I have graduated to OB and will go for my 2nd u/s visit with them on 3/25. Again, thank you for keeping us organized!!

I have been having some sinus issues too, just enough to drive me insane. Other than that, I have been feeling better, still very tired, but feel okay. That is a definite plus!!!

i've been sneezing a lot lately too, and having to blow my nose, but i just chalked it up to my allergies, b/c i haven't been able to take my allergy pill. never thought of it as a pg symptom! interesting!!
and i do have very vivid dreams too. and i usually have more than one, and in the morning i can remember all the different ones i had! crazy isn't it??

hope everyone has a lovely tuesday! it was in the 50s here yesterday (ohio) and today it's in the 30s and going down, and more snow on the way!!!!

Hey Everyone -

Sorry to have been a stranger the past week. We have been out of town for family obligations and I haven't had much time to post.

Glad to hear everyone is doing well!!!

I have graduated to my OB and will have my first visit on 3/11 - can't wait for that. I'm hoping to get another sonogram since I only had the one with my RE.

Just got back from my OB appt and am a little frustrated. It was my first with the OB...... since I'm not quite 10 weeks they didn't even try and listen for the heartbeat and wouldn't do an ultrasound so I suppose I just have to presume everything is ok in there. A little frustrating! But the nurse said my uterus felt like it was measuring the right size. But now I have to wait another 4 weeks before I go back, so I will be 14 weeks by then! I know it's normal to go 4 weeks between appts this early on but I feel anxious at the fact I will have only seen the heartbeat once and not 'heard' it at all when I am 14 weeks. There is the option of having an ultrasound in 2 weeks to check for downs etc so I will talk to DH about doing that. It's with a different doctor and obviously we are low risk for Downs, but I'll use it as an excuse to see my bean and reassure my mind!

Sorry I just had to vent a little. I sooooooo wanted to see or hear that my bean was ok in there.

Hi Caroline - that does sound annoying. We actually rented a monitor that allowed us to hear the baby's heartbeat at home when I was pregnant with my DD. I think the company was called StorkNet and you can either buy the machine ot rent it - it was totally worth it because it allowed me to hear her heartbeat any time I needed reassurance.

Caroline - that does sound awful - I was counting on another ultrasound at the first ob appt. but I will be even less than you at 9 weeks 5 days so I guess that is out.

To all: is your dh/dp going with you to appts? Is there any reason for him/her to go to the first ob appt. if they don't do an ultrasound?

Thanks guys. I looked into renting a doppler but I think I will wait until I am 12 weeks when you can be pretty sure of picking up the heartbeat, otherwise I will just worry myself senseless!

DH couldn't come with me today but turns out that it was probably a good thing.... don't think seeing me being weighed/ blood pressure taken/ examined would have been too interesting for him! With DD he came when he could, but especially when we knew there would be a u/s or something.

Fossie- you may get an u/s...each OB is different and because you're having twins that may mean they'll give you one!

Welcome BZOE!!!!

Caroline, that is frustrating. I know it will be similar for me. I was not expecting another US until I do the NT scan. I am a little wary of US anyway, not because they are that bad, but because I really believe that they should be done for a reason. Sometimes reassurance is a reason. There have been some studies that show that having many US may impair development. I am not sure I truly believe these studies but I do not want to take a chance. So even though I do want another peak, I am trying to reassure myself that it is important not to overdo it too.

I have been posting a little less lately b/c I am so tired and work has been really busy. The good thing is that it makes me ruminate less on being pregnant making the this 1st trimester time speed up a little! Yay! The bad thing is that I feel like I have no time for anything except work and sleep right now. The nausea and food aversion is better - I think it was just left over from the stomach flu thank goodness. Now I am only nauseated if I wait too long to eat, which I seem to do more than I ought.

Here is the list for now. I think I got everyone. BZOE - let me know when your US was and the results so I can put you up on the board!

chie! It looks like you have an US today! good luck and let us kow how your little one is! and fossie, good luck tomorrow! We want a report on the twinnies!
