Celeste- I hope that everything goes well at your next OB appointment. Please keep us posted.
Laura- So sorry that you are having a tough day, I would be a mess having to endure a day like this. Good thoughts are on your way ![]() Tabitha-My RE gave me a prescription with three refills for prenatal vitamins Vitafol and that is what I am taking daily at night along with 800 mg of folic acid. My first OB appointment is not until 3/27 and it seems like forever to get to that date. I see that many of you have seen your OB already, so this is worrying me. I guess I have to be just a little patient. In the meantime, I have so many questions for my OB. . . I haven't checked out the store "Once upon a child" but I did go to Motherhood and Mimi Maternity and found a few items. As to eating habits, my concern is that I feel my mouth constantly dry and to me, that is a symptom of dehydration. I don't think I am drinking enough fluids Hope everyone is having a good Sunday so far!

hopin4baby, how many "big follicles" did you originally see? My friend is taking gonal-f and I think they just saw 5 (not sure size). This is round two w/gonal-f and they uped her dose I pray it works for her.
Laura, I'm soo sorry this is a hard day. I went through similar as the day of my due date I found out I was PG...bittersweet. Try to focus on the positive. That is great you get to go back on the 31st. I just purchased a fetal doppler so I can hear the heartbeat at home.. I went thru one of my MC after seeing heartbeat so am still very nervous as well. I will let you know if I like it if you are interested. One last thing, you gender scan is May 8th/that makes you how far along?? I'm dying to know as well!

I am definitely not eating like I should - Mac and cheese has really been a staple! I know I need more veggies but everytime I eat them they just taste yuck. I thought I had gained a ton of weight as I am supposed to have already gained 10 lbs right now since it is twins and I got on the scale expecting high numbers and I have not gained ONE pound. It has all just shifted apparently. So, I have been eating round the clock but definitely not veggies and fruit!

Oh and Netty - I am constantly thirsty too - I feel guilty that I am not drinking enough water but I read in a couple of my books (blushing since a couple is only two of the oh about 20 I've bought) that it isn't really a sign of dehydration it is just another symptom. Still, I don't think we can ever get too much water so drink up!

Thank you all for your kind words & encouragement. I knew you would understand...and that is very comforting. We had a beautiful day at the beach and I'm feeling better now. Actually, I'm feeling worse b/c my morning sickness has come back. But that is WONDERFUL!
blessusw/baby - I'll be 17 weeks when we go in for our gender scan. It's a little early, so I really hope we'll get a good view & a positive idea of the gender. My DH & I both think it's a boy...so we'll just have to wait & see! I have been having a really hard time with veggies, too. Fruits and starches are all I seem to want to eat. I've been drinking low-sodium V8 to try to help with the veggie intake. The protein is hard, too. Chicken sounds awful and I don't think I'd be able to handle cooking with it when it's raw. I so wish we could eat deli meats because I'm craving turkey sandwiches. I am thinking I might roast a small turkey next weekend. I'm sure my craving will go away as soon as I have 6 pounds of turkey in my house! :-)

Hi All -
I can definitely relate to the eating situation. I'm not doing too bad, but I'm definitely not getting enough fruits and vegetables in. Guess I'll have to try harder than that. My doctor called and said my urinalysis from last week shows a Urinary Tract Infection. I have to start an antibiotic and drink lots of water. I'm not too terribly woried about it. From what I read, it's not uncommon in pregnancy and as long as you treat it before it becomes a kidney infection, you should be fine. Somebody mentiond hormones earlier - - let me just say that mine have been out of control lately!! I have had the shortest fuse lately. It seems as though people in general just annoy me to death!! DH and I acutally got into an argument (pretty rare for us) and I actually stormed out of the room and pushed over a kitchen chair on my way out!! Ladies, that is not me at all. Afterward I was so embarrassed that I behaved so childish, but I honestly couldn't help myself at the time!!

Hello everyone,
Celeste - I am praying that everything works out. I can relate with everyone on their eating habits. Mine has been horrible the past few weeks - I have not been getting enough fruits and veggies I've been eating lots of starches - pastas and potatoes. I was doing well in terms of symptoms until last Thursday when m/s kicked in with a vengence. Ginger ale and crackers have become my best friend. Question for you ladies - what are you doing or have done to help you with m/s? Claudia - I have my 1st OB appointment on the 25th but am not officially released just yet. Wishing everyone a great week.

melissa, i find that if i keep my stomach from feeling empty, i can (for the most part) avoid feeling too sick. i've been eating lots of small meals. i stocked up on the smaller portioned frozen meals and instead of eating a big lunch i take 2 lean cuisines to work. i eat one early and the 2nd one in the mid afternoon. it helps a little. also i bought some preggie pops (sour candy) and i sip sprite or gingerale. hope you are feeling better soon!
my 1st u/s was 3/13 and my 2nd one will be 3/27...can i be added to the list?? ![]()
