Hey Fossie - As you know, I freak out pretty much every other day about my symptoms. They were completely gone on Sunday morning...but they were back in full-effect by the next day. Hang in there (I know, easier said than done!).

Norcal - Good luck at your u/s today! Looking forward to hearing wonderful news!!

Fossie, I am sure everything is fine. What I have noticed is that the days that my symptoms go away they all seem to go away and when they come back, they all come back. Weird. Oh, and I know this might be cold comfort but everytime I get really freaked out that I have had a silent miscarriage (about every 36 hrs or so) I think to myself well, if I did there is nothing I could have done to prevent it and there is nothing I can do to stop it. Strange but it seems to decrease the panic a little bit. Girl, I think you are doing fine!!!!

Are they doing another US at your appt next week? What did you decide about your OB?

Since the other appt. was a "problem" apppointment my dh and I decided that we would go to this initial appt. and see how it goes, how we feel about the doc, see if he makes any recs for a high risk or perinatologist, etc. and go from there. So we are basically just in wait and see mode until Monday. I don't think I will get an ultrasound - I so wish I would since the last one was at 8 weeks 5 days, but I don't think they have a machine in their office. I remember when I was diagnosed with fibroids I had to go to a different office for the ultrasounds - yuck. So, I would guess that they would schedule me for my NT scan (although DH doesn't want to do any testing) at the office that will do the ultrasounds.

You are right - that is what I keep telling myself, that I have done everything I can to make this successful and if anything happens it is out of my hands. Plus, either way I think it is a good sign that we made it this far!!! Of course, that doesn't stop me from constantly googling things like miscarriage at 10 weeks and seeing what people were feeling and going through - I swear I am just a couple of steps from the loony bin!

You and me both! Maybe we should form a home for the those driven to the brink of insanity because of infertility. Do all pregnant women act like this?

Stefanie - , I'm so glad that you have joined us!!!!

Shellie and Claudia- Unfortunately, for those who struggle to get pregnant, the worry does not end with a BFP. Most pregnant women do not stess the way we do. They have no reason to and no real understanding of the process. They just assume that they got pregnant and they will stay that way for 9 months until they become a Mommy.
I was insane with DD and thought I would be less crazy this time around, but no, still crazy. With DD, I started feeling a bit better once I could feel her move. Constant reassurance that she was alive, very important.

Fossie - Good luck with your appointment on Monday!

Hey ladies! Glad to hear everyone is ok! As for the vanishing sypmtoms, it's completely normal and also completely normal to worry! Plus, remember, by this stage now we should expect a lot of symptoms to pass.

We went for the NT scan today......everything was perfect! Bean was wiggling around, and measured/looked exactly as to be hoped! I am measuring exactly 12 weeks so my official due date is actually Sept 30th but I'm sticking here with you girls!

Anyway, hope you are all well!

Thanks ladies! My appt is not until 5:45 Pacific time, so I'll probably post in the morning.

Fossie and the rest - I'm right there with you on worrying! I've tried to keep myself busy all day because as soon as my brain has time to think, I start imagining having the u/s tonight and getting bad news. We found out our first baby was gone at 10.5 weeks, so this appt tonight is a HUGE milestone for us.

Talk to you tomorrow!!!

Yeah stick with us Caroline!!!

Norcal, I am not a fan of the late appointments because I am impatient and want to know now!!!!

Today I had a mini freakout that the baby would be dead when I went to the NT scan on the 31st and that I would hear it from the prenatal genetics people whom I have never met. It was a whole ridiculous daydream (nightmare) that I have to push out of my mind. I actually have a friend who had a really easy time getting pregnant and she had massive anxiety for 2 days before every US she had. Urgh. Mantra: Everything will be fine. I will say it over and over every time anxiety takes over.

Norcal,

I am worrying w/the rest. I hate to bring this up/ask but when you MC at 10.5 weeks did you have symptoms??? Were they completely gone? I'm having the on/off symptoms with the rest. I bought a fetal doppler and can't find the HB..it can be too early to hear but I think now that made me more stressed.

Caroline - definitely stick around, I will almost 100% deliver in September but I too am sticking with the October group. BTW - my dh's bday is September 30th and that is the day he is hoping for ours but I think making it that far is unlikely!!!

Holly - can't wait to hear all the good news. Isn't it crazy that we love ultrasounds because we get to see what is going on but on the otherhand they completely freak us out because they tell us what is going on!!!

I asked my dh if he wanted to get a doppler and he said absolutely not until we know for certain that we should hear something - the uncertainty from last time is killing us and I know that if we had one here and couldn't hear we would have already visited the er with some excuse to have an "emergency" ultrasound!

Question Tingles & Twinges

I have been having very, very faint twinges, tingles and maybe even the slightest pressure sporadically the last day. Is this normal? It is just my body growing & adjusting? Or could it be a sign of something bad? I'm not having any cramping or pain...I'm just feeling "stuff" in that general area. Have any of you had these types of feelings? Help!! I'm kind of freaking out!

I was so blissfully happy during my first pregnancy that I didn't really pay attention to symptoms. And now every little thing is a big deal. Ahh...the joys of loss & IF.

Thanks ladies for being here! I really don't know what I'd do without you!

Hey ladies. I rented a doppler and got it in yesterday. I think I found the heartbeat, but I am not sure. It said in the papers that the babys hb would sound more like a horse galloping and that the placenta pulsation would sound more like a whirlwind. So I heard both I think. I found the babys hb right down nearly right on top of my pubic bone. I had to press in real good, but I finally found that dub dub sound. And it was fast, so I know it must have been the baby.

I also got in the books I bought, I already read like 5 chapters of one of them. It is so interesting to read about what is going on inside you and what is gonna be happening later.

I hope you all have a good day, this week is almost over!!
