I went in on Wednesday for an u/s at 9w6d and saw that our baby had stopped growing and lost its heartbeat at 6w3d (2 days past our previous ultrasound). My doctor referred to this as a "missed miscarriage" meaning my body hadn't yet realized that I miscarried. That is why there was no cramping or bleeding yet. To say the least, we were completely devastated.

I had a scheduled D&C the next day. My doctor didn't mentioned doing any testing of the tissue for chromosomal issues and to be honest, I was so distraught, I didn't think to ask.

DH and I are currently trying to devise a plan to get us on track physically and emotionally for another go at this. We don't have any frosties, so we would start back at square one. Considering how much weight I gained with this cycle, I'd like to give myself somet time and lose weight to prepare for the next one, I'm hoping my mid to late summer.

I just wanted to send all you ladies my best wishes one last time. I'm sure I'll still peek in here and there to see how everyone's doing.

Shellbell, as you know, it is devastating and my DH and I both send our best. It is one of those things that I am not quite sure how to deal with yet....but am taking it day by day. I wish you the best and stay strong. Our times will come.

wow, last week was not good for some of us. i also had an u/s last week, and found that we lost our baby as well. the sac was empty and only measuring somewhere around 7 weeks and a few days, so we lost ours shortly after our last u/s. i believe i have the same situation as shelley, as i have had no symptoms of miscarriage either. since my u/s was not with my OB, i have to call him to schedule a d&c.
i'm ok though. i had a feeling that things were not right. my beta numbers were not good, then barely seeing a heartbeat on the first u/s even though i was far enough where we should have seen it, then on the second u/s there was a heartbeat, but it was slow.
i hope i don't offend anyone by saying this, but i really didn't feel connected to my baby. i think that is b/c i knew deep down that there was something wrong.
i just wish we had found this out sooner.
i will probably take a break for a month or 2, but i really think i need to get back to it. i would like to try for may for another IVF. which is hard to think about b/c we pay out of pocket. and i am hoping that next time i get pg, i will get the twins that both DH and i secretly want!

my heart goes out to you stefanie and shelley. we have gone through such great measures just to reach this point, and then have it come crashing down.
we will get through this and have our babies! good luck to you girls when you guys are ready to get back in the game. take care of yourselves!

also i wanted to say congratulations to all the ladies who are progressing well! i really am happy for you! take care of you and your babies!

i'll probably be mostly on the IVF board, but i will check in on you guys from time to time!
