Christie - great to hear that your US went so well today!

My NT scan is scheduled for tomorrow after much confusion. I've been calling my OB's office for over a week trying to get it scheduled, then I called today and find out that I had an appointment scheduled yesterday that no one told me about. Anyway, I'm glad that it is tomorrow, because I am getting a little anxious to see our baby again.

I'm soooo sorry to hear about all the sad news. I will pray for you and your babies.

Christie, Congrats on your NT scan. I'm so anxious for mine on the 3rd. Do they tell you at that appt. if things are looking OK or if you are high, low, or med. risk for downs? or do you have to wait for results?? Congrats to you once again. You've got me excited for mine

it was the longest time of my life.
i had my appt at 3:25 got their @ 3:05. other couples got their after us. it was 3:30 they had called the other couples in and we waited another 30-40 min until hubby went to go ask was taking so long. they told him one of the nurse had gone home and their was only one nurse and that the dr had an emergency surgery. and they also forgot to pull my chart out. beacuse of the long wait my BP was kinda high. all blood work was ok. and we were able to hear the heartbeats of two babies. i will start to go every other week to the dr. and then starting at week 18 it will be every week.

congrats to all that had your u/s today.

Jess, Shelley and Stefanie my prayers are with you and your families.

Christie - Yeah!! I'm so glad your appointment went so well today! :-) That is fantastic news!

Our u/s today was awesome! My doc had a fancy new u/s machine with a huge wide screen monitor. We were able to see our little bean tumbling around, waving, and kicking. Plus we got to hear & see the heartbeat, and she put it in color so we could actually see the blood flow from me, to the umbilical cord to the baby's heart. AMAZING! My husband was speechless. I just wish I could have an u/s everyday!

Hopin4baby - I'm so glad you are doing well!!

I'm thinking of & praying for all of you!!

We too had an awesome appointment today. Some bad news was that they found five fibroids and although there is nothing they can do for them they will continue to watch (they increase the chance of pre-term labor, miscarriage, growth retardation, etc). The doc said that it means about 99% chance of having a c-section but I am ok with that as long as they get here healthy (his words were pretty funny - if they exit through the door or window it doesn't matter to us as long as they are health). The dr. spent an HOUR with us talking about the fibroids, other potential complications of twins, family history and testing that he wants to do earlier than usual (like Gestational Diabetes). Before the 1 hour consult we had a 30 minute ultrasound that was fantastic. They said that we probably did hear both heartbeats yesterday since both babies are right on top of each other and have the exact same heartrate - 158! They were moving around, Baby B was standing on its head and Baby A was just chilling with one leg in the air - so cute. We opted not to do the Nuchal scan - we just don't think it will help us to hear odds that are not in our favor because we wouldn't really do anything about it based on odds so we won't have another ultrasound until 14 weeks and then they are going to try to do an anatomy scan at my next ultrasound at 16 weeks. Both babies were measuring a little ahead today at 11 weeks 6 days. They will now put me on a schedule of every other week and regular ultrasounds and because of the fibroids I am going to continue to have my ultrasounds with the specialist - which I am cool with because I loved him and his staff!

Oh I am so happy you ladies had great ultrasounds today! That's awesome!

Thanks for remembering my OB appt. tomorrow FlamingPajamas! Honestly, I am kinda scared. I haven't had any negative signs and all my symptons are still here and strong, but with the sad losses lately I almost wanted to cancel my appt. I will go though and pray for a positive outcome!

Again, congrats to all you ladies ho had great ultrasounds today!

Fossie I am so happy you had a satisfying appointment. I love the door or the window statement, and he spent so much time with you! Great news Fossie, I am really happy that you are getting care that makes you feel comfortable.

I have to say i feel like I have so much more energy today - I either should be very nervous that there is a problem or it is just time for me to start feeling like a human again. I hope it is the latter.

My ultrasound went wonderful today too! The baby is growing on target and is moving around. We saw him or her waving it's little arm buds around! We heard the heartbeat too! Everything today was truly amazing!

My next OBGYN appt. is April 23rd. he said we would just use the doppler that day.

Claudia - I definitely don't feel nearly as tired or as I described it - I felt like I was "hungover" every morning! Now I definitely still get tired and the smallest things - like shopping for maternity clothes after work today - wear me out but it's not the I have to go to sleep right now feeling that I was having.
