Tina - I am so sorry about your loss. Please know that you and DH are in my thoughts.

Claudia, you are amazing! I must echo what the other members have already said and thank you for keeping us all updated in the program

I love seeing all the ultrasound pictures of your little beans. I'd wish I had some from my appointment this past week. Please keep on posting them, I had no idea how clear they are. I love it!

Ladies, I had my 1st prenatal visit with the new OB/GYN this past Thursday, 3/27 and unfortunately, we didn't meet the OB/GYN that I had originally made my appointment with because I was told that he doesn't do first prenatal appointments, so instead another OB/GYN saw us and this woman had no bedside manner. She was kinda a b-i-t-c-h! and really cold. She was so impersonal when we met her, did not have eye contact with us (DH was with me) when we entered her office. She told us that she doesn't do U/S at first prenatal visits but after I insisted that I get one because I have not had one since 3/4 and I wanted to make sure I was still preggo. She then obliged and brought us into the next room. I opened my legs and OOOUUUCH! I had a pap smear done and some other cervical mucus test. You know how uncomfortable those pap smears are *sigh*, DH was in shock because he had never seen one done ever. I guess he will not be a good support buddy at delivery time and will need to stay with me at head level and not look down there, LOL. This woman did not give me any warning whatsoever that she was going to do a pap smear! Then she proceeded to do the U/S and I was like "Is that the heart?"---"yep." "Is that a good heartbeat?"---"yep." I am like...."ok, this is fun!" LOL.

For my next appointment, I made sure to make it with the OB/GYN that I was referred to see at that office. It will be on April 24th.

I will be doing the NT and I will have the date next week.

Another thing to add is that because of my myomectomy done last April (2007), I was told by my RE that I may have to go for a c-section because the scar tissue of the uterus is weak where they had to cut at the time of the procedure. So this may change my due date to be in September. This was sort of confirmed again at this last appointment but I was told that this depends on how developed the baby's lungs are at 37 weeks because if they are not, we will have to wait and play it by ear.

Sorry for the venting and rambling! DH was supportive but I can tell he doesn't want to hear my complaining of our first appointment because he insisted that we continue to see my old (not old in age) OB/GYN but I insisted in changing to a new one. . . another long story on why I decided to change, so that is for another thread

Have wonderful preggo weekend!

Hi All - Everyone's US pics are so fabulous - what beautiful babies! My babies do not seem interested in cooperating with US and just scoot around and kick each other the whole time. At least they are active, albeit, photoshy!

I too and starting to feel less tired - still with some MS, but it is getting better. It's all ok by me, the symptoms, while annoying are reassuring. And am so happy to be off PIO - yeah!

Tina - I am so sorry to hear your sad, sad news! Please know that we are all thinking of you and dh and eagerly anticipating your good news in the near future!

Netty - Sorry to hear that the doc made the ultrasound so unpleasant - hopefully your regular doc will be much, much better. Because of my myomectomy they initially suggested that a c-section might be advised but once they realized that more had grown (a real possiblity with pregnancy and a history of fibroids) they said definite c-section.

Claudia - I echo what everyone else has said - you are awesome! My next appt. is April 14th but it is just a regular appt. pee, doppler, leave :-) so maybe I'll just keep you posted when the big ones are like the structural scan or anatomy scan that they are talking about scheduling in the 16th week - woohoo!

Thanks you guys it is really no bother. It is the only way I can keep up with what everyone has going on anyway. Since most of us are moving into our 2nd trimester shortly, I think I will drop the released to OB section and make an EDD section (I was reluctant to do this before because I was superstitious) and clean up the US section a little. I will work on this in the next few days. After I am done if you have any suggestions of info you want me to include let me know.

Netty I am sorry your OB appt was so disappointing. There is no excuse for bad bedside manner. I think for those of us that saw REs I think it is really a shock when you go from the coddling of an RE to the real world of HMO medicine. I hope the other OB is a better fit for you.

Tina, I am so sorry. Please take care, and I hope to hear your good news in the near future.

Netty - I hope you don't have to see that OB again. Is this a group of OBs, and whoever is on call at the time will be delivering your baby? My clinic does things that way, but there are only two OBs and I like them both.

I am definitely getting some energy back. I'm not sure if it is from being finished with the progesterone, or hitting the 12 week mark.

Netty - I'm sorry to hear your first experience was so bad! I just don't understand how people can have such poor bedside manner. That's really disappointing! Hopefully your future appointments are much better! "

Hi Claudia -

My EDD is 10/10 and I have an US tomorrow 3/31 which was going to be the nuchal scan but we decided not to do it since twins can have a significant false positive rate and I would not have an amnio anyway. So they will check growth and all. I'll keep you posted on the results tomorrow.

Thank you ladies! I do hope my next appointment goes smooth. It was quite a shock since I got so used to the gentleness of my RE and his staff that now going back to the "real world" of HMO felt like a bucket of cold water

Tabitha- Yes, this is a group of doctors, there are like 6 or 7 in that practice. I think I will plan to see two from that office, one is the one I was referred to and the other one for a good back up. I hope to like them both.

Tina - I was so sorry to read you post. Take care of yourself and all the best for your future. I hope to read of your good news soon.

Claudia - thanks for doing the list! My EDD is actually now Sept 30th but as I said I'm staying put with you ladies, esp. since there are a few multiple carrying ladies on here who I'm sure will meet their little bundles first!

Wow - can you believe a bunch of us are entering the 2 nd trimester now!? I'm still paranoid but beginning to enjoy and believe it more. I'm feeling good...well, at least pregnancy wise. I have no voice and a terrible cold, but the pregnancy things are all great!
