Caroline that is so cute!!!!
pics for me will have to wait. I have a pretty round belly to begin with so it is not much to see right now. Netty, if you don't think knowing the results of the the NT scan will help you make decisions about how to proceed in your pregnancy then I might not get the test, there is a small rate of false posittives for the NT scan and the blood test that goes with it so there is always the potential for the test to cause worry when there needn't be any.

I'll definitely try to get a "bump" pic up this evening. I can't tell that there is much difference but my dh says "I'm not trying to be mean but your belly is huge" so I guess it is getting bigger. I've always had a bit of a pot belly so I am self-conscious that I am just taking pictures of fat (plus that is one of my odd fears - I keep thinking that I think I am pregnant but really just gaining weight!) but I am going to trust my dh when he says that it is way different now!

Caroline: Cute bump.
Che_girl: In regards to the NT scan because I am at a higher risk due to my age I definetly wanted to do. The exam was pretty much an US and a finger prick. The cool part is that you can clearly see your baby, the profile, legs, face, arms and it was fantastic. On the other hand there is a 5 % false positive rate and I belive they will then offer you amnio( your choice). Another point is that if indeed there is a trissomy problem it is nice to diagnose early as usually is considered a high risk pregnancy and may need to be born in a hospital with ICN capabilities as many have heart issues. Scary to think about. But if you are below 35 yo I will not worry much about it.

Thanks for the update Kory!
Sorry I've been MIA. I've been lurking, but just super busy and haven't posted. I did take a bump pic this weekend so I'll find some time to get it off my camera and on the computer soon. You can't really see too much yet - def not like Carline! I'm jealous ;-) but my girlfriend on the east coast is ready to kill me if I didn't send a pic soon. LOL! I hear you on the whole "mundane" part of it. I was trying to explain to someone this weekend that after appts all the time, medication twice a day and constant anxiety, it feels kind of boring right now. Aside from the indegestion, it doesn't really feel like I'm pregnant. I know that will all change as we start to grow, so I'm not complaining, just kind of a weird observation.

Thanks Chie!
Ladies, Guess what??? Our October Due Date Buddies thread has now stars. . . and several stars. I think that the cute pic of Caroline's bump helped us. yay!! yay!! Caroline- Thanks for being so brave on being the first one to dare to post. Although I am so self-conscious that my fat belly is bigger than my baby belly, I am at the point that I am enjoying this so much. DH just went to do some grocery shopping and as soon as he returns, I will have him take a pic of my belly.

Caroline - love the bump! :-) No one will be seeing mine for quite some time...but I'm sure I'll share one of these days. I'm just not as brave (or skinny!) as you.
Kory - I'm glad all went well at your appt today. I would imagine it's hard to hear 3 seperate heartbeats with the babies all being so close. I'm sure your little ones are doing great!

Come on girls...be brave and post the pics!! We're all friends here... and I assure you that that belly of mine is not all baby.... I can definately grab a handful!
Having said that I think I do have an unfair advantage in that this is my second, and they say you do show sooner with #2...definately the case with me. With DD I didn't show until about 17+ weeks, though I gained a lot more weight!Glad everyone is doing ok.... I know what you mean about the mundane part...I don't really feel pregnant either...I can't wait until i can feel the baby moving, as much for my own reassurance as the wonderful experience it is!

I didn't get ahold of the camera last night but will try to tonight. My dh is a real estate agent and keeps the camera in his car and I'll admit it - when I thought about it again last night after he got home I was too lazy to walk out to the car to get it and in too nice of a mood to ask him to do it :-)! I just had a meeting with some ladies that I met with about a month ago and they both looked at me and said wow, I did not know you were pregnant so I guess I am definitely showing now! Caroline - I too am waiting very impatiently for 20 weeks since it seems like all the good stuff happens at that point, movement, really showing, can tell the genders - I can't wait!
