Here is a "bump" pic - try not to let it scare you, looks nothing like Caroline's cute little, dainty belly. I have already come to terms with the fact that I will not be one of those "cute" pregnant women - I think (know) I am going to look monstrous, but that's ok if both babies make it here healthy! The tally is now at 5 people in the last two days to ask if I am having a boy or girl and they are all shocked when I tell them that it is too early to tell!

Shellie - I think your belly looks great.

I'm with Amy..I'll post one in a few weeks since I'm also due the end of October. Right now it looks more beer belly than baby belly.

I am officially off all meds... no more PIO shots. Yippee.

Ok girls (Amy and Melissa) you have leeway for about a week and then we will be hounding you to join in the public scrutiny! The rest of you are not off the hook!!!

Claudia - thanks for reminding me that I haven't had JD in months :-) - all for a good cause! I really do think if nothing else this pregnancy has taught me how to lose weight for the first time in my life - stop drinking, drink tons of water, eat breakfast and incorporate more fruits and veggies - nothing earthshattering I guess but all things that I had no motivation to do before :-)!

Shelli: Your bump looks so cute definitely pregnant.

Claudia: My next US will be at 20 wks on May 30th ( anatomy scan including certain parts... boy or girl)
My next OB appointment is next week April 16th.

Today I had the gestational glucose challenge test. I was a bit worried when I received the instructions: you have only 5 minutes to drink it, but the glucose actually did not taste bad, like a lemon soda. The boring part was to wait in the lab for 1 hour, not allowed to go anywhere.

Are you having dry skin? My skin is so dry, I changed creams 2 x but still very dry.

Claudia - from everything I've read the main concern is not getting your core temp to high, so yes warm baths are supposed to be ok

I am sheepishly admitting to daily baths! I have just been a big ball of stress and super cold all of the time and often have an aching back after hunching over the computer all day so I take a warm (not hot) bath sometime in the evening often with an aromatherapy gel that is supposed to be stress reducing. It has really helped me calm down and has also helped with headaches but I do think it is contributing to the really dry skin. I too am breaking out like I am 13 and have been all along! My dh pulled a big, long hair from my chin the other day - freak show, that's me :-)!

Caroline and Shellie - your bumps look so cute!! Mine is not quite ready for display, it's definitely not a cute bump. I will be brave and post a picture soon.

I got my test results back from my NT screen, and the results were normal. I have an OB appointment tomorrow, not sure if we will be doing an ultrasound.

Laura, my skin is breaking out like crazy, too. Oh well, it's a temporary thing.

I went to visit a daycare yesterday that I hope to use. I really liked it, the babies seemed really content, and the nursery was really organized. However, the waiting list is really long, so I hope to get a referral from someone who takes their children there. I hear that is the best way to get in.

Tabitha - Congrats on your wonderful NT results!!

Shellie - OH MY GOSH...the facial hair...I'm so there with you! I know people say they have never felt as beautiful as when they were pregnant...that is definitely not me! My poor DH! It's just hilarious to me...we ladies are absolutely happy to go through any humiliation for our precious little ones. It'll be nice to finally be showing so I can wear maternity clothes. I haven't told my staff or company that I'm pregnant (just my boss knows) and it's getting tougher to get dressed in the morning & hide my growing waistline.
