Hey ladies...Happy Monday!

I think I have been feeling the baby move for about the last 4-5 days. A couple of times a day I feel like a goldfish is swimming around. It just lasts for a few seconds, but it is a distinct feeling. Our doctor has said we have a very active baby, so I'm hoping these are the first little movements I'm feeling. It'll be great once I know it's the baby for sure.

Blaze - I haven't had that feeling except after eating or drinking a bunch of water. I do feel icky at night still. I sure hope you are feeling better soon! And if you are getting stressed about how you are feeling, I say call your OB for some peace of mind.

Tabitha - nothing for me either. It is really starting to freak me out, especially since my doppler STILL hasn't arrived to help give me any peace of mind. I got a pregnancy update email and it said you should have felt your baby move by now and so of course I am worried - I know everyone says that it is later but it seems that everyone says that even though they have all felt them earlier! 8 days until the next ultrasound!!! It has been since I was 12 weeks so it's about time!

I have been feeling something. Sometimes a flutter and every so often a pop. I think it is the baby moving but of course I could be imagining it.

Fossie, don't worry. Many women don't feel their babies until week 20 or so. Rember it also has to do with where the placenta(s) are. Since you have twins and you have 2 placentas I bet there is a placenta right in the front where you shoudl be feeling movement. You will know at your next US!

Crawling is a good way to describe the feeling. I don't feel it every day, but it's been off and on for a little while now.

I swear my belly has popped out in the last week! No hiding that I'm pregnant now ;-)

My OB told me I should feel the baby by my next appt and I would be right at 20 weeks. But, he said if I didn't, not to worry.
I am not really stressed over feeling this way, I just hate feeling yucky all the time!!! I feel like everyone keeps asking me how do you feel and I really want to say "I feel like poop" but I know they get tired of hearing me say I feel bad so I just say I am good. I feel like I shouldn't complain, I have wanted this for soooo many years, now I need to enjoy it, yucky and all!!! I do notice it more in the afternoon and evenings so maybe it does have something to do with eating, but I am not eating alot, my stomach won't let me.
It does reassure me I guess, lets me know all is well inside!!!

Christie, don't beat yourself up about not liking the way you feel. You don't have to love being pregnant you only need to love your baby. You can be thankful that you are pregnant and feel like crap and hate it all at the same time. Did you call your OB to see if he has any thoughts on how you are feeling?

Norcal, I am definitely showing too. I have promised a friend that I would take some pictures. I will post them here too...

Fossie - Claudia is totally right, with twins, likely one of the placentas is anterior which dulls the feel of movement. ANd it is totally normal to not feel movement until 20 weeks or so.

Christie - Are you still feeling really "stopped up"? Not to as TMI, but being really constipated in conjunction with the slow moving bowel of pregnancy can make you feel AWFUL! You should talk with you OB.

I took a belly pic and I am HUGE - I have trouble breathing when lying down. These babies must be growing at an enormously fast rate.

I have my anatomy scan tomorrow - so please keep me and the babies in your prayers that all looks well. I'll keep you updated.

Good explanation but at my last high risk appointment they said both placentas were posterior. Oh well, we will just wait and see and hopefully soon something will happen!

Celeste - I too am huge - people are still shocked when I tell them I am only four months! It must be the fibroids/twins combo that makes me look like I am at least 6 months!!! I also have trouble breathing - if I walk up my stairs I have to stop at the top and catch my breath!

Shellie, I have trouble breathing too. It is like I am at altitude or something. It has been like that since I found out I was pregnant.

So I have been getting braxton hicks contractions every day now. It seems that they come in clusters. I may get a few in an hour and then they stop until the next day or many many hourse later. I called my , midwife's office and spoke with the advice RN last week and she said not to worry. How often is too often though?

Claudia - this is what I found: If you haven't hit 37 weeks yet and you're having more than four braxton hicks contractions in an hour — or you have any other signs of preterm labor — call your caregiver immediately. Sounds like you have called and they reassured you that everything was ok so I'm sure all is fine!

Altitude is a good description. It really doesn't help that I have gotten my first (hopefully only) cold of this pregnancy and it is exacerbated! Just glad to have avoided (hopefully) the flu that was going around a few months ago! I do feel REALLY bad though, I thought it was just sinus issues so I went to vist my friend's newborn (3 days old) yesterday and would never have held and touched her if I had known that I was sick! I did use anti-bacterial stuff - hope it did the trick!

I can't believe you are measuring 30 weeks already!!! I bet you are having trouble getting up - I already am and I am measuring about 6-7 weeks ahead so only about 24 weeks. It is like all of my stomach muscles have been severed - once I am up I am good but it is all about how difficult it is getting into the sitting or standing position. It is pretty comical at night when I am trying to roll myself up and then finally stand up wincing because of back pain. My dh has gotten used to being my crutch and helps me off the couch every time I get up :-).

Shellie - That's nice your DH is being so supportive, mine thinks I'm faking it. I ask him to help me get DD out of the tub and he complains. I tell him that maybe he'll get it more when I end up on beddrest for doing too much.

I am huge - everyday I come to work people are saying that I am bigger than the day before - and I feel that way.

Hopin' Wow - 30 weeks already, you must be really uncomfortable. With one baby, I felt great the whole time except sleeping at the end was tough but that's because you have a slower growth rate of your abdomen since it's only one and more time to adjust. Definitely feeling it this time though.
