I am so excited for the upcoming anatomy scans! I can't wait to find out what everyone is having! :-)

This will be the first Mother's Day in several years that I won't be dreading. Some family members sent me a beautiful bouquet of flowers yesterday wishing me a happy first Mother's Day...I thought that was so sweet!

I wish you all a WONDERFUL Mothers Day!

Tabitha - my appointment is at 9:00 on Tuesday too but that is with the high risk doctor and then I have an appointment with my regular ob so I will not be able to post until the afternoon. SO, so excited but my nervousness has been tempered somewhat since my doppler came in and I found both heartbeats!!!

Hello again my October Mommas! I have been missing in action for the last two weeks. DH and I just returned from a very deserved R&R trip at Dominican Republic and I swear, I ate my heart out. I definitely think that my body is full of iron from all the beans that I ate there.

Congrats to the wonderful gender scans and the results!!!

As for me, I am keeping it a surprise until delivery date, however I must tell you that I have a strong feeling that I have a boy. I don't know what it is, it just feels like a boy.

To all the ladies who have been feeling their little ones move, how exciting that must be! I haven't had any of those feelings at all and I totally envy (in a good way ) that.

On another note, I have switched to a new ob/gyn at my own request. It is a different practice and my appointment is scheduled for this Tuesday, 5/13. This will be the third ob/gyn that I switched already and I am glad that I made this move this early rather than later in the pregnancy. I have good referrals from my SIL and my mother to see this ob/gyn so I am very optimistic that he will give me the attention and care that I need. What I already like in this practice is that there is homeopathic ob/gyn as well.

Claudia- my anatomy scan is May 23rd - it is listed as 5/24. Just the anatomy, not gender, since I chose not to know.

Hope everyone had a great day yesterday! It was definitely a different experience from past years. Kind of weird though since some think you should celebrate and others don't since your pregnant but not delivered yet. I have the best friends though! Two of them got together and shipped me a gift basket from the east coast and my best friend that lives with us with her daughter (I call her me neice) got me an adorable card as Mommie #2 for her daughter with a gift card for a maternity store. Dh = nothing! oh well.....

Big week around here on the board!

Holly, my dh didn't really get into it either but he did wish me Happy Mother's Day when we woke up and he encouraged the purchase of the doppler as a Mother's Day present for me so I'm cool with it. To be honest, I probably wouldn't have done anything for him had Father's Day come first - it just isn't on our radar yet! Plus, his mother is no longer living so it hasn't been a big holiday for him for a while!

Thanks Shellie! Even though he didn't even wish me Happy Mother's Day, he did give me some extra hugs while I was cooking and getting things ready for the Mother's Day BBQ and he helped my aunt clean the kitchen for me when everyone was done cooking which was nice. He's just not the big romantic type and I know that.

Good luck with your anatomy scans tomorrow!! I cannot wait to hear your results! Post as soon as you can!

I received a call from my doctor today that I need to go back & redo my anatomy scan. Our little baby boy was moving around so much that they were unable to get good shots of his spine or heart. So, back I go on Wednesday afternoon. Also, my doctor said that his kidneys are slightly dilated. I (of course) have been doing research online & it seems this is very common. From what I have read, the kidneys almost always go back to normal once the baby's drainage system is more developed. I will do another scan in the 3rd trimester to see how they are doing. I am hopeful that all will be OK and trying my hardest not to stress. After all we've been through, I was just hoping for a quiet & uneventful pregnancy. But I know God is in control & He will get us all through this exciting & sometimes scary time.
