Holly - I'm so glad your baby is healthy! That is the most important thing! :-) When I did my scan at Kaiser last week the tech said he had everything, but my doctor & the radiologist disagreed. So, I had another scan yesterday and will go again in 2 weeks for yet another. So I would definitely talk to your doctor about the possibility of another scan. Hopefully you'll find out if it is a boy or girl soon!

Oh, and a friend of mine said she went & paid $50 (I think) just to have a 3-D u/s done specifically to confirm the gender. She went in around 20 or 22 weeks. Then she went back later in her pregnancy for the more complete 3-D u/s. Maybe that would be an option!?

Regardless...I can't wait to find out when the time is right!

We have had names picked out forever - didn't have two of each gender but we had one for a boy and one for a girl so it worked out well :-). We have actually had a lot of people already ask us names and spelling for monogramming I guess. I told my dh that I was kinda sad that we weren't going to spend time going through baby name books and debating and deciding and he said we could still do that and probably end up with the same ones we have been talking about for years and he is right so we are just going with it. We are going to call them Ty and Katie - I love that we are both already referring to them by those names - like last night I told him I thought I felt Katie move and he told me to turn to my left side because I was squishing Tyler laying on my right :-0!

Holly - sorry you couldn't tell what the gender was but I'm very happy to hear that the baby is healthy.

Shellie - I love that you have names already. We are still trying to come up with a girl's name, I think I have a boy's name but that could change.

Claudia - your turn tomorrow. Can't wait.

Holly, I am glad the baby is healthy in any case. I am so disappointed though! Tricky baby!

Shellie, cute names!!!! I think Tyler is really cute!Anyone else with names yet? So the font runners for us are:

Girl: Natasha Frances or Simone Frances

Boy: Ezra James or Ezra Julian

Frances is DP's middle name and James is her Father's name. But of course it could all change later...I suppose we have loads of time to decide!

I am excited and very nervous about tomorrow as usual. I hope the baby is healthy and thriving!

Claudia - I really like Ezra! I'm actually glad that we have them picked out because me and dh cannot agree - he likes more common names and that is what thing I don't like - that both of our names our pretty popular but his mom passed and her name was Mary Kathryn and I have always liked Katie so that worked out well and the boy is family.

Are you the only one with an appointment tomorrow? Good luck and keep us posted - another time zone thing where it will seem like forever :-)!

Amy - we really liked both of those and we actually have family with a Jack and a Lily!

Anybody thought about registering?

I just started an online registry at target because I saw something I didn't want to forget I wanted and ran into a bit of a problem - it will only let you enter one child, one gender, one name!!! I guess I will have to mark gender unknown since it makes me choose between boy, girl or unknown! I figure if it is anyone shopping off my registry they know that we are having a boy and a girl!

I was thinking of doing Amazon but I got so mad at them with the doppler delivery debacle recently that I changed my mind! I definitely want to do stores that they have both here in town and where my parents and relatives live which really limits my options. I think we are going to do Target and/or Babies R Us for the basic stuff and we are going to do Pottery Barn Kids for the people who want cutesy.

Amy - nice names.

Claudia - I really like Ezra as well.

As for registering we probably will start one next month. I will probably register at Babies R Us and may do a store in Fort Lauderdale called Baby Love since we both have family that lives there.

As for names I had a dream that I had a boy and in the dream his name was Evan so if it's a boy will go with Evan Joseph (DH's middle name). Still haven't come up with a girl's name.

I'm 99.9% sure our little fella's name is going to be Lucas John and we will call him Luke. John is my Dad's name and since I'm an only child, I really want to honor him. My DH keeps referring to the baby as Luke, but he is hesitant to say for sure that that is the name. I'm trying to be patient because I want him to be completely certain. But I'm getting anxious to call our baby by name.

I really like all the names everyone has come up with! Our group is going to have some adorable little ones!

We will definitely register at Babies R Us and probably Pottery Barn Kids. I have spent a little bit of time looking at things online, but then I just overwhelmed. I think I'll wait another week or two.

Claudia - Have a wonderful time at your appointment tomorrow! I cannot wait to hear your news! :-)

Hello October Mommas!

Sorry for still being MIA . . . allergies are kicking my butt and I cannot get rid of this horrible and painful pressure/headache. To make matters worse, I think my allergies have now developed into a sinus infection. These past three days, I have been feeling miserable, after work, I just simply crawl into bed to make the headache go away, my appetite has not been the greatest either. I apologize if I am keveching like crazy, anyone else with allergies?

I am so happy that we are moving along very nicely, some of us have already names picked and almost at or about to enter our 20th week mark, yay!

Last Tuesday, I met my new OB/GYN and he is such a warm, caring and gentle soul. I felt so good the whole time and it felt like I was his only patient in the world. Anyhow, I have a new delivery date, although it is almost 80% almost confirmed, this will be officially confirmed on our next appointment, 5/29, after the office checks with the hospital if the date will be available, so my almost official date is October 13th and it will be a c-section because of my abdominal myomectomy that I had last year.

Since some of you have already names picked out, I updated my siggy as well to show what the baby's name will be. I said that I feel it is a boy and it will be named after DH, I don't believe in Jr or I, II, so the baby will have the exact same name, which is John Paul but we will call him Jack.
Now, if it happens to be a girl, I guess we have to start planning names for a girl just in case. This one is a tough one because nothing really comes to my mind but I haven't been able to think straight this week.

Okay, the headache is pounding again so I am going to sleep now.
