Laura - UGGG! I know what you mean about this heat. I actually had to take one of my rings off today after lunch. The ballet slippers are a god send! I have a black Steve Madden pair that I got at a discount store and I wear them almost everyday that I can't wear flip flops. I just started looking around this week for some more options. Have a good weekend ladies! For my fellow California girls - good luck trying to stay cool. I'm hitting Old Navy tomorrow for some more summer maternity clothes. If this current heat spell is any indication, we're in for a long hot summer!

Melissa - I am going to go & check out Once Upon a Child the day after Memorial Day. I have the day off of work and all I want to do is shop for the baby! Glad to hear you found some good stuff. Holly - The Old Navy by me doesn't carry maternity, but I ordered a bunch of summer stuff earlier this week from JC Penney & Motherhood. I wish it would hurry up & get here. Happy shopping!

Hi girls! Sorry I have been MIA... we've been down at our lake cottage and have no internet there. Congratulations for everyone's news..... so the boys and girls are even, huh!? I love everyone's names too..... very personal and unique.
Holly - I hope you get to find out your little bundle's gender soon! Ot do you think you'll just wait now? We are going to call our girl Annabelle Rose, but Belle for short, especially when she's little. My DD is Abigail Lily so we thought it would be cute to keep with an 'A' name, and use a flower name for the middle. DD is named after my Grandma (Lily) but there were no other family names we liked for this baby, so we decided to link this baby's names with her big sister!

Caroline - that's a great reason for the baby's name. I like it.
We want to keep trying to find out, but I'm not sure if we'll get another chance through our dr's visits. Anybody know? Old Navy was WONDERFUL! They fit great and reasonable prices. I highly recommend the t-shirts and tank tops.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.
I'm excited and nervous but ready for my appointment. I can't wait to see the baby again. Hopefully the baby co-operates. I'll post this afternoon once I get to work.

my official anatomy scan is 5/27 at 4 pm. i will be 18 weeks, that's ok right? not too early? my dr told me anytime between 18-20 weeks would be fine, but when i called the hospital to schedule it, the girl said something about waiting longer. i told her what my dr said and she said ok. i don't think i can wait any longer!

What beautiful names you all have picked out! My husband and I are not agreeing so at this point, these babies are leaving the hospital as Baby Girl and Baby Boy! Unless of course I write in on the birth certificate what I want when he isn't around....

Amy - Yea! I'm so glad you have your anatomy scan scheduled! My doctor told me I could go anytime between 16-20 weeks. I had my first scan at 17w1d and the second at 18w exactly. I have to go in one more time next week for another anatomy scan and I'll be 20w1d. The technicians have all said that it is much easier to get good images of the baby around 20 weeks. I'm amazed at how much of a difference a few weeks makes. But I think you should keep your appointment....we need to find out what you are having! :-) If they need to get more pictures of your baby, they will just have you come back in again. And, for me, I am happy to have as many u/s as they will give me!
