Not feeling "pregnant" today...

Have any of you had a day or two where you all of a suddent just don't feel all that pregnant? I mean, I'm still showing and everything, but the general uncomfortableness I was having has subsided. I'm not really worried about anything, it's just odd and I wanted to see if anyone else has felt this way, too.

It's a girl!!! I guess my insticts were wrong...I was feeling boy. It really didn't matter to me or DH wheather it was a boy or girl. Now DH and I have to agree on a girl's name. Looks like the girls are ahead.

Everything looked good, the only thing they are worried about is that they have not been able to measure the nasal bone which they say could be an indicator of down's. My bloodwork came back good with downs at 1 in 3,000. The doctor said that in 1 in 200 babies they do not find the nasal bone and the baby is fine. We have told them that we are still not interested in the amnio. So we go back on June 2nd to do the u/s again and see if they can measure the nasal bone.

I am also battling allergies, and this has been overall a very bad year for allergies due to the lack of rain here in Northern CA. One thing that has helped me a lot is the neti pot, a saline nasal wash. But if you are feeling really miserable like I was a few weeks ago you may consider using a prescription nasal spray. Now finally I can sleep. Rhinocort is class B but I have been batling with the insurance to cover it as it is the only class B. But per my allergist even the other ones( class C) is very little absorbed in the body and quite safe. But one thing I find quite disgusting is that for Health Insurances is not a priority at all to use a class B medicine to a pregnant person.
We reached 3 digits temperature this weekend and my DH had quite a shock to see me on my 2 piece swim suit. Sorry no pics.

Amy, I think you are fine as well. I can't wait to find out if you are having a boy or a girl. I know you feel girl, but this morning boy just popped in my mind for you. We'll see though! The US tech who did my scan says she really believes in mother's intuition and she has been doing US for 28 years.

I have lots of days when I don't feel pregnant. I had a couple of days last week where I felt so ill though. Exhausted, and hip pain - I had to nap for 2 hours after work 3 days in a row! I am feeling a little better even though I fatigue easily. I do have new symptoms - restless leg syndrome when I am tired, heart palpitations, fatigue. I am going to bet I am anemic. I go to the Midwife today. I am interested to hear what she says. I am sure she will sent me to have a blood count. I have been trying to eat more meat, but it is hard.

As far a feeling movement. I feel little kicks just about every day. But usually not more than for one time period. I try to feel them through my belly and haven't really been able to catch them - they might be too light to feel yet.

Melissa! Congratulations!!!! So exciting! On your little girl...Ok so girls are ahead by one!

Up next Che_girl and Chie. Yippee!!!! After next Tuesday no more scans to report unless some of the ladies who have not been around in a while come forward with dates.

Congratulations on your girl!!!!

Amy - you'll be FINE at 18 weeks..... mine was at just over 17 weeks and it was pretty easy to tell.

I'm about to online shop for some more maternity clothes. I feel sooo frumpy at the moment! I was hoping that a bunch of my clothes from my pg with DD would fit but they're either a funny shape, or stretched out from the ending months of that pg! And the only store we have in Buffalo for maternity is target and motherhood, which are always too big and short for me (I'm 5' 10"). So, out comes my credit card!!

Melissa- Congratulations on the little princess! Just like you, I have been feeling a boy for me but lately several people have told me that it looks like I am carrying a girl. I want to keep it a surprise to find out the gender but I overheard DH talking to his boss on the phone that he is very excited to know so I may give in. My anatomy scan/gender is this Friday. . . *sigh* I feel it is a boy, I feel it is a boy. . .I feel it is a boy!

Chie-Thansk for posting on the neti pot, I have been so tempted to buy one over the weekend but then allergies started getting better. I will definitely consider it next time I feel congested.

Ohh. . . I have a date for my baby shower, it is August 16th. Is anyone having a shower date?

Hopin - I posted elsewhere but want to say again that you are definitely in my thoughts and prayers and please know that there are a lot of instances where this works out just fine!

I got some cute shorts and tops at Target and Old Navy and since that is what I wear to work I think I am set for a while.

Netty, I have a shower set for July 12th (friends) and July 19th (family). I am a bit ahead because these guys could come in August or I could be on bed-rest, etc. so they say to do it around 28 weeks.

I still feel pregnant just because my back will not stop hurting and I am constantly thirsty, but it is definitely different than first trimester and different from day to day - some days I am sore and achy, other days I have a lot of round ligament pains, and some days nothing. I have had very sporadic movement. I feel it most everyday but not througout the day and it feels like only the girl but I don't think I can really differientiate yet. I was reading in one of my books that counting starts at 24 weeks so I imagine we will start to really feel it consistently soon. I can't wait until we can feel it from the outside so my dh can feel too.

Kory - You are absolutely in my prayers! Take it easy, rest well, and know that we are all keeping you & your precious little ones in our thoughts. You were tough enough to make it through infertility treatments & I know you are tough enough to get through bed rest!

I am having 3 showers. The only one that has a date is August 23. I can't wait! I think we are going to go & register in another week or two. Has anyone really started registering yet?
