Laura - so sorry to hear about the bedrest, hopefully everything will be okay with the babies. Keep us updated if possible.
Melissa - congrats on your girl!! I guess we're pretty even now with boys & girls! I am going this morning for my second anatomy scan, so the dr can get better pictures of everything and also to check the placenta previa. I was trying not to get too anxious about this, but I had a very hard time sleeping last night.

Laura - I have registered... at THREE places - Target, Babies R Us and Pottery Barn Kids. I have not registered for decor type stuff because I haven't really decided on that and my grandmother is making my bedding but everything else is on there - carseats, strollers, layette clothes, bath stuff, the list is endless.

Fossie - Did you do your registry at Babies R Us online or did you go into the store?
Tabitha- Have a great anatomy scan today...just relax! I found that my second one was much easier since I knew what to expect. I'm sure yours will go great!

Kory - I am so sorry to hear that - it is so scary. To have been through so much and here you are fighting another battle. Stay strong, get lots of rest and try not to panic too much as hard as that will be. You are in my thoughts and prayers and I pray that you are able to keep those babies in there for many more weeks.

I registered online and then went in to the store just to add things. I did the same thing with Target. I just tried to make sure I was registering for things that were available in the store other than things that nobody carries like the twin pack and play and the double stroller we want, etc.

Well, that was the fastest ultrasound ever. I didn't even get to see my baby boy very much. The u/s tech said the orders were only to check the previa, which she said was 'marginal', not sure what that means. She wouldn't give me much info, but when pressed, she said the baby looks fine. I guess I will have to wait and talk to my doctor tomorrow.

Kory - Look after yourself and those babies... I'm sure everything will be fine. We're all thinking of you!
I'm not doing a shower or registry.... I didn't with DD either. It's not tradition in England, and the vast majority of my friends and family are over there, plus I have basically everything I need left over from DD... Turns out 3 years is ideal spacing for that reason...Abby has outgrown all the baby things/equipment, ready for this new bundle! But I wish you all the most fun with yours! I will be redecorating their room though, which I'm looking forward to starting on!!

Tabitha - don't closed mouthed u/s techs drive you crazy! I know there is a reason for it but they could at least just give basic info! We had to ask a zillion times if she was certain on the genders and she just kept saying that is not what is important and not what they are concerned with - yes, we know this but you can say if you are pretty sure you saw girl and boy parts!!!

Kory - hang in there! I know it can be a scary time. My bf lived with us (well, still does) during her pregnancy and was but on bedrest at about 23 weeks after going into preterm labor at our wedding rehearsal. We definately found having a laptop and wireless internet at the house a godsend for her during those next few months.
Baby showers - It looks like we are having 3 (family, work and co-ed). After trying for so long to have a baby, everybody wants to celebrate. Although I'm not sure what people are going to get us! We have been blessed with lots of great hand-me-downs from friends and family that have all had babies within the last 3 years. I keep saying I'm going to register for things like a new office desk area so it'll be easier for me to work from home part time and a ceiling fan for the babies room.

Well my friends, here I am - layed up on the couch with the most wretched back and hip pain ever. I had to leave work today because I can't sit. I am going for a prenatal massage tonight and hopefully continuing to be able to swim. I sue hope this isn't a preview of the rest of my pregnancy. Ugh. I am so mad. I have had back pain in the past, but it has been under control for quite a few years. I sure hope I can squelch it this time!
