Claudia- a prenatal massage, I need one so bad. Enjoy it! And hoping that your back and hip pain goes away in no time.

Is anyone else getting up to take trips to the bathroom? For the last few days, I have been getting up at least three times to empty a full bladder. That is crazy! I don't remember doing these many trips even when I used to go to the gym and drink a gallon and a half of water every day, ugh! My poor bladder

Claudia - Feel better! I hope the massage helps. My back has begun hurting as well. I hope this passes for all of us.

Che_Girl - I feel like I'm in the bathroom all the time! Luckily my office is pretty close to our bathroom at work. I'm also drinking a ton of water, so it's a heck of a combination. But, it's good for us, right?! :-)

Have any of you decided on your stroller? I am in love with the Orbit system but am having a hard time with the $900+ price tag. I feel like I really need to look at others and try to talk myself out of buying this one. Of course whenever I tell my friends that I want the Orbit they are all encouraging me and saying it's the least I deserve after our long journey to having a baby. They are so sweet....but they aren't helping me to save any $$! :-)

Claudia - hope your back gets to feeling better. Mine has been really hurting for a while now and rest really does seem to be the best solution - I have a heating pad and try to sit as much as possible but it just doesn't help all that much. That is the reason my shopping trips have been cut really short lately and I took a lumbar pillow in to work about a month ago - it's great!

I've noticed that I am peeing a lot more lately too and this is probably tmi but I really feel like I have to pee but then when I sit it isn't much. I have had to get up a lot in the middle of the night too. I didn't have this first trimester so it's all new to me but since I am having trouble getting comfortable sleeping I'm often awake when the urge hits anyway.

Laura - I have decided on THREE strollers!!! I couldn't find one that did everything I liked so I just registered for three reasonably priced ones - a double snap and go for ease and convenience when I am using carriers and just going short distances, a graco duo-glider that matches our carseats and holds the carseats and is front and back, and a side-by-side jogging stroller. I can't use the snap and go after they are out of carseats and I can't use the jogging stroller until they are big enough but I can foresee occasion when I will need all three! Go for it if you found one you like!

i asked my dr about the pee thing (i too am going very frequently, but not much comes out) and here is what he told me: he said that in the 2nd trimester your uterus is very round and not high. it is pressing on the bladder, causing the sensation that you have to pee even if you have just gone. also, the pressure on your bladder can stop your bladder from being able to completely empty. when you get further along, your uterus is more oval shaped and high. the relief is only temporary b/c as the baby grows, this will add to the pressure. joy! hey all this talk about pee makes me have to go!

my back was aching so bad today. i just sat down and stretched my entire body for about 20 minutes and i really feel a lot better.

Thanks for all the well wishes...The massage was a god-send. I am still uncomfortable, but back at work today. I didn't sleep very well last night though. I am going to schedule another for next week. I think the key is staying on top of this. It is my hips that are really the monster. Wretched Relaxin! That hormone bites.

I have the exact same peeing problem. Sometimes I sit and sit and nothing wants to come out, then finally it comes and it just trickles forever. Then I have to pee 20 minutes later.

As far as strollers go, we have decided to forgo the travel system and get a snap and go and a compatible car seat. When the baby is bigger we'll get a stroller that meets our needs. I am jsut not sure how much stroler we will need and I have been cautioned by friends who jsut don't use their travel system strollers because they are so bulky. It is only about 50 bucks (100 for the double) and rolls nicely. They don;t look very sturdy in the pic, but I was really impressed with it in person. Here is a link:

Claudia - the double snap and go is the exact one I am registered for and the one that everyone says is the most practical. My aunt called today to ask which of the strollers I wanted the most and I said that one.

Me too on the pee thing, it's as Amy said..... just not enough room in there anymore for pee and baby!

Glad you're feeling better Claudia!

No complaints here..... touch wood, I feel great, although my skin is breaking out at the moment... I'm not the woman that glows with pregnancy, at least not today!

CAroline- You have a beautiful baby bump!

My post about peeing all the time was sort of incomplete. I meant to say that I have been getting up at night at least three times to pee, last night, it was five times.
Also, during the day, I am peeing more often but during the day, it is not so much of a full bladder, it is more the sensation to pee.

I'm still here! Like some others, I am not feeling the supposed good feelings that comes along with the 2nd trimester. I am still exhausted and I am still vommiting! The doctor finally gave me some Zofran yesterday when I saw him. Apparently I haven't gained any weight at all since becoming pregnant. He isn't worried about that though because I was a bit pudgy to begin with and had gained 13 pounds on the IVF meds! It just seems that the weight has redistributed to my stomach LOL.

I just can't believe I am so tired all the time still. All I do is work, eat, pee and sleep LOL. I am starting to get paranoid that I may never get that burst of energy "they" say you get in order to do the nesting bit.

On the bright side, we find out our baby's gender this coming Tuesday when we have the anatomy ultrasound. I am so excited I can barely wait! Oh, I also felt the baby kick for the first time a few days ago. I had been feeling flutters but this time, I felt a distinct kick at the same time I heard the sound on the doppler!

Dellemma- I am sorry you are still sick. That must be terrible. I haven't gotten sick at all, so you can imagine my weight gain!!! I am so happy you finally felt the baby kick. It is wonderful isn't it? I go to sleep at night with mine kicking and wake up to "him" kicking every morning!!! I also will have my gender/anatomy scan next Tuesday so I wish you the best!!!

How is everyone else doing? Anyone fighting stomach issues? I really think mine still has to do with constipation even though I am trying really hard to keep it under control!!
