Kory - this is such heartbreaking news - many, many to you and your family! We are definitely continuing to for Kaylee and it sounds like she is a real trooper and hopefully she will continue to do well.

Well, had my 3D ultrasound today - pretty cool! The pictures didn't come out great partly because they are still a bit small and partly because they are laying on top of each other and punching and kicking and turning so much that we never could get good shots without arms or legs or backs of the heads of one or both of them! I didn't realize that they were interacting so much already since all of my ultrasounds have only shown one baby at a time. They are literally in each other's space!
Here are a couple of pics - Katie is the one that is face on with one hand covering her eye. Tyler would not cooperate and his pic is profile. The other one is both of them - her laying on him but you can't see him .

Aww, look at the little ones! That is so cool! Too bad there is not a better picture of them together. I guess we know who is going to be the bossy one (girls are always bossier anyway right?)!

Last night I was lying on the couch and DP was on the computer a few feet away looking for airline tickets to NY (Her aunt is very sick, and she will go visit). The baby was kicking so hard I told DP to feel because she like to feel the kicks. She told me she was busy and she could't reach from where she was sitting. We both looked at my abdomen at the same time and clearly she didn't have to feel a thing. You could see my belly moving from the force of the kicks! It was so crazy! We were both completely in awe! I have been waiting to see that. For some reason it seems more real when you are seeing the movement with your own eyes rather than feeling it. (yes I am still in disbelief that I am pregnant!)

Fossie - Great pictures! Your little ones are adorable! Do you think you'll go & do the 3D again later? I am trying to schedule an appointment to go at 28 weeks...I can't wait!

Claudia - That is so cool that you could actually see your belly move...amazing!! I can't wait for that day! My DH is getting so anxious to feel the baby himself. I'm still in disbelief, too. Sometimes I look down at my belly and wonder who I'm looking at. I'm sure labor pains will help the reality sink in! :-)

That really is cool that she can feel them and see them! My dh hasn't been able to feel them yet - partly because when I feel them I can't tell if you could actually feel them from the outside, does that make sense? I am shocked, especially after today watching them beat on each other than I can't feel more than I do but it explains why I can't tell one from the other!!!

I am probably not going to go back - would love to but it is pretty pricey. I have to admit that it would be easy to get addicted to seeing them this way. I also have to admit that I was looking for any signs of chromosomal issues with Katie because of the soft marker and I can't tell anything other than that I am already in love!

28 weeks will probably be perfect. They like to schedule twins at 26 weeks but we really wanted to do this as a gift so this was good enough - I would love to be able to see more facial features on the boy but even if we were further along today we still wouldn't have been able to see because he just would not look in the right direction!

Laura, You are such a brave and strong woman. Please continue with your positive attitude for Kaylee. You and your family will continue in my prayers that everyday your heart heals and that Kaylee grows stronger and healthier.

Fossie, those are beautiful pictures.

Claudia, you and DP are so lucky to have seen your baby move from the outside. DH still has not been able to feel the baby kicks. Hopefully soon!

I feel the same way, Amy. One of my closest friends delivered her little boy at 24 weeks last year and lost him after 30 days in the NICU. She had been through 2+ years of IF before finally becoming pregnant. So while I don't know personally what Laura is going through, I have witnessed it and it is horrible. If anyone has any good ideas about something we could do to show our support & encourage her during this tough time...I'M IN!
