Lisa ~ That's FANTASTIC news...no seen "markers" a little BOY!!! I can't imagine how scary the blood work results must be, but it is a really good sign that they didn't see any indications on the baby himself, which has got to count as more important, right? What does you doctor say about the conflicting results? Are they suggesting that you talk to a counselor or start planning to meet with specialists for the birth? Or I guess all that will wait for the results. Is the Amnio conclusive? I really admire your strength! Keep your chin up and I'll keep you and your son in my thoughts.

Congrats Lisa on your little boy!!! I'm also glad that they didn't detect any markers and that he has a healthy heart.

My anatomy scan is this afternoon, 1:45 CST, I have to admit, I'm a little nervous.

Lisa - Congrats on the baby boy, and so glad to hear of the good news from the ultrasound. We will keep our fingers crossed for you that everything else comes back perfectly normal!

I have my regular anatomy scan today, at 11:30 PST. I too am a little nervous - and just hoping that they confirm what the 4D ultrasound tech said about the sex. My poor mother would have to return half of Gymboree's little boy stuff now if for some reason they were wrong at 16 weeks. I am like you, Eggy, untrusting and skeptical until its confirmed today - my DH on the other hand keeps laughing, saying that if its not a boy, then what was it he saw on the ultrasound. Oh, he is such the eternal optimist, which is a good thing, since I am already a terrible worrier about everything.

My anatomy scan is this Wednesday at 1:45 pm. Thank you, Chandra, for keeping track of gender (but like Heather says, I am still hesitant to get too excited about having a girl until my anatomy scan confirms it; once it's more definitive, then I'll actually be able to enjoy the gender prediction without fear of the rules changing on me).

Say, it's been awfully quiet from Kristen lately. I hope everything is ok and that you're just busy having some summer fun....

Good luck on all the anatomy scans today and this week! Mine is Friday, and I can't wait! Who do we have left? There aren't too many of us left on the thread anymore so I can't remember who is still active here and will have an anatomy scan after this week. Or am I the last one?

So, I've taken my rings off and put them on a necklace for now. The heatwave really hit here last week and my hands were so swollen that I couldn't get them off for a few days. I was nervous that it could continue so I just kept them off once I could remove them. With the weight I've gained from our wedding 5 yrs ago, they were already getting a little tight anyways. I assume everyone is still wearing their rings? I hate having to go without mine on my finger. I feel naked!

And, yeah!, where is Kristen these days?

Hi ladies! How sweet of you to think of me. All's well here in Denver. I've been really busy getting the house ready to sell/rent (we haven't decided yet). My dad is up from Texas for 2 weeks helping me around the house while my dh was away. My dh is back today for 2.5 weeks after being out of the country for work for 6 weeks. He leaves again on July 5 and will be gone for another 8 weeks. Then the trips are mercifully over for this production. Phew!

Hi everyone - So I am back from my anatomy scan and everything looks good! Yay!! The tech also confirmed that its definitely a boy. Whew, I feel so relieved - not that it would matter either way, but we had gotten used to the baby being a boy, and I think a flip to a girl at this point would have taken some getting used to! The tech this time was so nice, showed us everything she did, and probably the best news was that she can't see my clot anymore! I am too afraid to be too excited, but if she couldn't see it, then I am sure that is cause to celebrate. Maybe now my OB will let me off "restriction," since although I am back at work I am not supposed to be doing much else - although each week I have slowly done a few more things, but lived in fear that it was going to come back, since I hadn't had an ultrasound to look for it in almost 8 weeks! Anyways, I am in a great mood, and hopefully now I can relax - bet that is easier said than done though!

Kristen-great to hear from you! I wouldnt be online if my husband were home between two trips either. Nice to know that everything is going well though.

Lisa-congratulations on your Baby boy!!! Its so great that they didnt see any markers either. Im hoping and praying for the best!

Chandra-Cant wait to hear the update! Hope everything went well.

other people w scans this week GOOD LUCK!!!!!!! I hope they are wonderful, and that there are no suprises.

Im feeling pretty good these days. I guess it must be the second trimester! We had a great anniversary celebration over the weekend in Napa, and then a fantastic fathers day yesterday. Sometimes its just so hard when weekends have to end!!

my newest food fix is something so so so bad for you! I just discovered frozen seasoned fries that you just broil for a few moments, and are done. Oh my goodness, Im out of control. I had them last night, and with my lunch. i think its time for me to make a pact w myself not to buy them again.

oh yeah, and my little Stephen Asher has made it known to all family that he DOES NOT like the name "Cream-a" (Our other name, Carina) and has named a doll Charlotte. cute, but bossy!!! Oh well. I guess he's two!!
also, my sister in law had a baby girl this morning! havent named her yet, and she's states away, but Im excited! cant wait to see pictures. they have a noah, and a claire, so it will be interesting to see what name they add to their family.

SDLawyer ~ That's great that your scan went well today. Could you really tell what you were looking at (the brain, all chambers of the heart, etc)? I'm glad to hear that none of the little boy things that have been bought will have to be returned.

Marie ~ I think it's cute that your little boy is exerting his opinion about his little sis's name.

Heather, I'm so glad your anatomy scan went well! If you're up to sharing more details, I'd love to hear more about the experience. I cannot wait until mine on Wednesday! I'm a bit nervous, and just want to know if everything is ok. Plus, um, hi, it's an ultrasound. Is there anything better?

What about the other ladies who went in today? How did yours go?

Marie, I agree with Stephen Asher. Carina is a fine name, but I'm way more into Charlotte. What did your SIL end up naming her baby? (I love her other children's names -- Claire and Noah are beautiful names.)

My scan went well, and it's a still a girl...LOL. The baby looks great, I saw the heart, bladder, kidneys, her little brain, stomach, all her little parts. I get to have another u/s in 4 weeks, so they can start monitoring her growth, since I had IUGR w/ both pregnancies.

Marie-Congrats on your neice.

Heather-Congrats on your scan.

I'm pooped, after I left the dr, me & the boys were running around all day, so I'm going to drink a Caprisun and then go to bed.
