Rennae- Avery is such a doll. I love to hear how other moms are enjoying their little ones! I can't believe she has 6 teeth!! I have teeth envy.
I am sure it is very difficult to experience the sad side of L&D. My heart breaks when I hear about the devestating things that happen..... so glad MOST babies do just fine.

Wow, 6 teeth! That's amazing! Marlee has 3 now. Her top left busted through the other day. She does seem to have had more problems with that one than the 2 bottom ones. She's had a runny nose, nasal congestion, and she had her first diaper rash the other day. I think all of that is from teething.

Marlee eats everything. I often feed her a little of what I'm eating...I don't worry about the 3-4 day introduction of new foods anymore. She eats scrambled egg (both whites and yolk) a few times a week. I make most of her food but I keep the jarred stuff around for some variety too. I have discovered that I much prefer the Beechnut to Gerber. She eats, and LOVES, cheese. She can feed herself finger foods but she's not quite perfect at it yet. I've made all kinds of fruits and veggies for her (apricot, nectarine, butternut and acorn squash, peas, etc). I also made meatballs last week. There were 2 jarred foods she didn't like, pea/turkey something and a pastina, so I mixed those in with some Italian breadcrumbs, and ground turkey. They are great b/c I can freeze them in individual balls of foil and they are easily portable. Then I just break them up and they are great finger foods for her.

I have to say that being her mom is easier than I thought. She's an easy baby overall (I say this as I listen to her protesting her nap in her crib for about 40 minutes...guess I should finish this up and go get that little bugger). She's happy and laid back. She can play by herself some now which allows me to eat a sandwich or get some dishes done. I would do this again anytime but DH isn't so sure. He's got 3 kids now and that's enough for him. We'll see.

There's more I have to say, but I think the protest has gone on long enough...stinker isn't going back to sleep at this point

Melissa- great idea on the baby food balls!! I might have to try that. It is always a big challenge eating away from home now. Clara knows what we are doing when we put stuff in our mouths and she knows she wants some too.... NOW!!

Clara is 9 months old today. I am thrilled and sad about this at the same time. I love the little personality that is emerging and it is so fun to watch her learn and develope, but I sure miss that new born and I know time is marching on. I am just continuing to savor every minute!

Where is the time going? Georgia will be eight months tomorrow, I can't believe the time is flying by so fast. I love love love this stage though, she is just a delightful baby. So content, and such a mama's girl. She just loves to snuggle and she gets right irate if I walk by her and don't pick her up or acknowledge her if she wants me. It makes getting stuff done difficult at times but I don't mind. In twelve years she'll probably hate me so for now I'm lapping up the love. I'd give anything to have another. Wish I didn't get my tubes tied.

Bunniswife- I know what you mean about time going by fast. I too love this stage though.
Is there a possibility for you to do IVF if you want more children, but have your tubes tied?

I don't know. So far what I've looked into suggests that my eggs can only be harvested up to age thirty-nine (I'm already thirty-eight) and that my FSH level has to be under 7. I'm borderline PCOS right now, the last time I had my FSH checked, it was 17. Not to mention my APS. I'm highrisk all around. I think the only way we would do it is if they would sex the embryo and they won't do that in Canada. So, that means doing it in the States...we'll see.

Had my SIS procedure today. My RE gave me the go ahead for the FET.... my uterus looks good. Now all I have to do is wean Clara. I don't know why I am having such a hard time doing this. I think in the back of my mind I am scared that the FET won't work (eventhough we have 8 frozen embies) and then I would be sorry I weaned Clara before one year. I need to have two normal cycles before I can start BC pills. I don't feel like I should wait due to my age.

Hi Ladies-

Long time, so talk! I'm sorry I haven't posted much since the babies all arrived, but I'm sure I don't have to tell you how busy things get with a little one. It's hard to believe how fast time flies. Our little girl is doing well -- 8 months old, and she's 21 pounds and 28.5 inches long. She's very verbal, constantly making noise and babbling. (Part of me is convinced that it's no coincidence that she says "da" when she sees the dog!) She rolls and scoots all over the place, but isn't actually crawling yet. She's been rocking back and forth on her hands and knees a lot and going backwards, so I suspect crawling is just around the corner. (But believe me, I'm in no hurry. My friends whose kids crawl are working hard chasing their little ones. I'm enjoying being able to plop her on the floor while I cook dinner and know she's not going far!) Needless to say, she is such a joy -- and worth all the effort we went through to have her! (Well, obviously.) Fortunately, even though I was totally neurotic during my pregnancy, I'm actually very relaxed now that my little girl is here. Some of the moms in our Mommy & Me class are so stressed out about every little detail of their kids' lives, but I think I got all of that out of the way when I was pregnant and envisioning every little thing that could go wrong. I'm just so happy she's here! Anyway, every now and then I check in on this board to see how you're all doing. So I just wanted to say hi and let you know I'm thinking of you and your beautiful children. Congratulations on making it about 2/3 of the way through the first year! Happy Summer! xoxo

Eggy - great to hear from you, glad baby eggy is doing so well!!

Kay - how exciting about preparing for your FET!! I know weaning Clara will be hard, but it sounds like it's for the best. So what all do you have to do in preparation for the transfer???

Eggy- It is so good to see you here again!! It sounds like life is good for you with your little girl. Amazing what joy they bring! I hope you will join us more often and keep us posted. Happy summer to you!

Rennae- Yes I am excited about the upcoming FET. I am very nervous as well though.
To prepare, first I must wean Clara. My plan is to have her weaned by the end of this month. I think it is going to be harder on me than her. Then I have to have 2 normal cycles. As of last month my cycle is back to 28 days so I am on the right track. I will probably start BCP in late Aug or early Sept. I will follow the same protocol as last time: BCP, Lupron, Estrogen patches, and the dreaded PIO. In the mean time I am trying to lose some more weight. I am at my pre pregnancy weight for Clara, but I would like to be 5 to 10 lighter than that. So exercise and calorie counting . I am hoping to have the FET done in early Oct. We are going to do a single embie transfer to avoid multiples. At this point having only one would be the best. I have always wanted twins, but I have an older body now and will also have a toddler.
Here we go again .
Kay

Daney - good luck on the test, keep us posted of course!!

Kay - thanks for all the info, sounds like you're well on your way!! What did your doctors say about transferring one embryo?? We only have 2 frozen, but I definately would rather not have twins. I just don't know about the success rate and all that, if it would be worth transferring them one at a time?? Anyway, I am so excited for you!! I'm sure weaning Clara will be hard - but so worth it in the end!!
