Hey, I guess I will join you ladies. I got my BFP a few weeks ago, but I was hesitant to join just in case something bad would happen. I have my first (official) u/s on Wed. the 19th and I am so nervous. I did cheat, because I'm a labor and delivery nurse, so I have friends that are ultrasound techs. So I had a sneek peek ultrasound on Friday and I saw 2 sacks! I'm waiting for a heartbeat or two though. One sack is smaller than the other, so I hope everything is okay. I'm not having any serious symptoms. I do have sore bbs and a lot of fatigue. I was off Saturday and I took not one, but 2 naps. I'm starting to feel like I need to eat every few hours or my stomach feels queezy. Anyway, I just wanted to say hi. Good luck to everyone.

I'm glad I'm not the only one!! I too work in Labor and Delivery and had some friends do an u/s, I saw one little sac!! None of us are sonographers, and we were only able to use the abdominal, so I guess another one could be hiding...but my gut says one little bean!! Good luck on your first "real" u/s, I have to wait until April 5th, geeze!!!

I got my first beta back it was 57 which is good cause I am due for a cycle tomorrow or the next day so Its offical Im a november due date!!! Yeah

Ok, so I've been lurking here for a few weeks, as I wanted to see the h/b before officially declaring I was a member of this thread... Well, I guess it's official, because I was pleasantly surprised today to see the h/b of our little miracle. I was only hoping for the fetal pole and yolk sac at 6w1d, so MY heart literally leapt out of my chest when the doc said, "oh! we have a flutter!" I burst out crying and sobbed for 5 minutes straight... It was the most amazing thing ever - I filmed it on my Treo and am sending it to my dh who's in the Chinese countryside somewhere! Modern technology is quite spectacular.

Our due date is November 8th.

So...congrats to all of us for making it this far. What an amazing journey...

Daney ~ Yay! You have a very nice start with your beta number. When do you go again? Were you on a natural cycle, medicated BD, or IVF/IUI? How excited you must be!

Mommy2 ~ I'm so glad that your 2nd IUI worked and that those early BFNs weren't accurate. This must make the news even more exciting! You're only a few days behind me. My EDD is 11/18. When's your u/s and/or next beta?

Kristen ~ you are so much more patient than me...I know logically that I should contain my excitement and slow down a bit in case I'm disappointed later, but I just can't...I'm on overdrive right now I still have to wait about 2 weeks for my first u/s...I can imagine that you were very emotional seeing that beautiful little flutter. What does your DH do that has him in China? Will he be home soon?

infertilitynovice - I'm in Derry. I used to live in Nashua until last year, then we sold our condo and bought a house. This winter is one of the snowiest, but at least it's not colder.
I think getting another beta is a good idea. I always feel better getting some sort of data once every week or so at the beginning.
I haven't bought maternity clothes yet, but I have considered getting my box of maternity clothes from last time out of the attic. I'm putting it off, though, because I weigh more now than I did when I was 22 1/2 weeks pregnant back in September. I'm afraid my pregnancy clothes won't fit me! I do have a few bella bands in that box that will come in handy in the next month or so.
I don't mean to be a downer, but I'm unlikely to buy anything baby related besides books and maternity clothes until I'm at least 28 weeks along. Last time I hadn't bought anything for the baby and then for my birthday a friend bought me onsies and socks for my very first baby items. I lost the baby 6 days later. It would have been a lot worse if we had a lot of baby stuff lying around. As it is, I can't wear the shirt I wore that day again. So I'll probably hold off for a while.

Anyhoo - I promise I won't be a downer all the time. I'm really not like this in "real life", I'm just trying to be cautious.

Welcome Leslie! We have our 1st u/s on the same day. Our beta numbers are similar too. I don't know how to compare IVF numbers to IUI numbers, though. It's different, right?

I go tomorrow for another beta im that it atleast doubles!!! I used clomid and timed BD Im so glad it worked cause if not it was on to injectables that are not covered so it saved us a lot of moula!!!!

My nausea is getting continually worse. Any one else getting morning sickness at all?

My u/s is tomorrow. I can't wait! It's at 6:20 am. I'll probably fall asleep right in the middle.

Had my Beta yesterday and learned it was a . BETA yesterday was 283. Going tomorrow to repeat BETA test . I am that they double. I am petrified. Several years ago, I had a m/c and we found out due to BETA number dropping and excessive spotting. So I have a little trauma in this area. But I am thinking positive thoughts. Due date is November 19th.

Symptoms....hmmm.... Achy/full breast. Twinges that make me VERY nervous. Fatigue...restless sleep or waking up early. YES, Heartburn and I am ridiculously gassy.

I am so excited. It does not feel real yet. I am praying that everything will continue to move forward well.

Lookng forward to growing big with you girls!!!

Am ~ I remember now that we've talked about you being in Derry before. I agree that it hasn't been as bitterly cold as I would expect, but I want some grass and flowers and decent walking weather. It is so hard to be here and hear about my friends and family hanging out on porches and patios in 75+ degree temps. AARRGGHH! I know it will come and the temps are so much better up here than in much of the south once Summer hits. It may be nice now, but very soon it will be too hot to walk outside. Anyways, I don't think you should worry about being a downer. Unfortunately you can't smile away the reality of what happened before and I don't blame you at all for being cautious. I'm cautious and don't have any real reason for it, so I can only imagine how you must feel at times. What kind of support group are we if we're not honest about how we are feeling? We'll have down days and up days...I'm here for you for how ever you're feeling at the time. Don't censor yourself for my sake (I'm sure all the other ladies on this thread would agree too).

So is this your first US tomorrow? How exciting! I'm so looking forward to hearing your good news tomorrow!

Does everyone have a copy of "What to Expect When You're Expecting" yet? If not, go get it tomorrow! I just got my copy yesterday that my BFF mailed. It has really put my mind at ease. I was worrying that I was worrying too much...turns out I'm completely normal (well, in this way anyways). The book explains that more women worry during their pregnancies ABOUT their pregnancies then experience morning sickness and cravings combined. The internet info can be so overwhelming and contradicting that it is confusing and I think creates more worry than it solves. (for me anyways)

Oh, my new find...I managed to get my fruit and calcium in tonight...mmmm the new chocolate dipped strawberry blizzard from Dairy Queen (I got a small, so I don't feel that guilty). So, if you've got something to celebrate or a sorrow to drown, I highly recommend it. mmmm...

Daney ~ good luck with your new beta tomorrow too. Please let us know as soon as you get the chance. I know what you mean, I can still hardly believe it either.

Mrssega ~ Great first number! I'm sure you'll have great numbers again tomorrow. I'll be for you too and sending some positive waves your way. If you don't have the book, go get it and you'll see that the twinges you're having are very normal. I've got them too. As long as you're not experiencing pain, you're pretty much okay. Oh, and welcome to the group...so glad to have you here with us!

Okay, for symptoms...I just bought new bras yesterday and today, one is making me look like I've got 3 boobs...You know, one in each cup, but then also I'm spilling out in the middle making me look like I've got a middle boob too. It is comfortable though, so I guess I'll just wear it around the house (until it doesn't work at all). It fit in the store yesterday...I hope the other one is still okay otherwise I'll have to take it back. Oh, and the lovely blue veins...my (3) boobs look like I've got a road map printed on them. Sexy. I'm still having twinges, though not as frequently I don't think. Nips feel a little better in the 100% cotton bra too. I've had a few fleeting moments of queeziness, but no real sickness. I'm sorry you're feeling the true morning sickness Am. And the nose is really kicking now. I sure wish my DH would clean the cat box more often. Last night (or this morning really) I woke up at 4 am STARVING! I was so hungry I couldn't go back to sleep. I had to get up and force myself to eat some saltines. Yuck! Saltines are fine normally, but not when you're half asleep and have a dry mouth. How's everybody else?
