I've also had patients call up to L and D and ask my personal opinion on what ob to use. That's kind of a touchy thing, but I answered honestly who I recomend. You could always try that. Congrats on a wonderful second beta!!!

Congratulations to all the beta's & ultrasounds today !!!! I have to say that morning sickness has officially kicked in for me. It was not this bad with my first two pregnacies so it has to have something to do with having twins.

Ladies, I started this thread and did not even realize so much was going on here. Great to see everyone using the November thread! Congrats to all of you for great betas and ultrasounds!!!

I had my 2nd u/s today and babies heartbeat was 143, he/she had grown so much from just last week. My last u/s is next Thursday and then I will be released to my OB.

As of now my due date is Nov 3rd.

Well last week my u/s looked like a little tiny bean on the screen, and today it looked like a big blob, he/she grew a lot. The sac its in seemed to double in sze since last week also. The u/s picture is hard to know what you are seeing but I can tell where the head,arm buds, and legs are going be. They said at the 12 week with the ob the baby will look like a real baby, arms legas and all! They also said you should be able to hear the heartbeat at the 12 week.

I made my 1st appt with my ob today. I scheduled it for the same day as my 8wk ultrasound. It will be a busy day! I really love my ob (and the other two OBs in that office), but I'm wondering since I'm high risk anyway and now I'm pregnant with twins, should I consider a high risk ob? She's consulting with a specialist on my case, so I'm not sure if it's necessary or not. I'm going to ask her the next time I see her. She'll give me an honest answer, I think.

I called my mom and told her about the twins. She's excited. My brother's girlfriends is 22 wks pregnant with twins right now, too. (They didn't use fertility meds - it was a surprise.) My grandmother died in September and my mom wishes she had lived long enough to know that my brother and I were both having twins. My grandmother always thought my mom would have twins because my mom's mother and father both had twins in the family.
It's weird that there might be two sets of twins in the family within a few months of each other!

Am ~ what a wonderful holiday season this will be for your family...so many babies!! I think asking your OB about seeing a specialist is a good idea, esp. since she'll tell you the truth. I guess the important thing is that you do what feels good/right to you, ya know?

Looks like we've got our hands full with twins on this thread. My mom called today to say she thinks I'm going to have twins. Ours was an unmedicated DIUI, so it would be a surprise. She says this only based on my symptoms occuring so early in the pregnancy. I think I'm just very attuned to my body. I can feel it when I ovulate, so the fact that I can feel my uterus stretching and growing isn't that surprising. Or the explaination could be that I've done so much reading that these symptoms are in my head...dunno. It would be awesome if we had twins because this is the only baby I'll have. My DH has 2 boys and we agreed very early that this would be it, so if we "accidentally" had twins, that would be so wonderful We'll see next Friday for sure...

It is so awesome to see those new strong beta numbers today. I'm going for a 3rd tomorrow...wish me luck!!

Hello ladies, I decided to stop lurking and decided to post. I was mostly lurking because of fear, 2 embryos implanted, but only 1 developed and I ended up passing the 2nd sac Saturday nite. So I didn't want to post until my u/s today. I saw a heartbeat and everything looks great!!! As of now, my due date is Nov 5.

Am-Normally they do tell you to have a high risk OB who deals with multiples

I don't have an OB either, but I want to deliver at the hospital I delivered my 2 boys at, and the clinic I was going to specializes in high risk pts, but I don't know if they would take me now, with my last pregnancy, I had IUGR and I had to have my labor stopped once. I had IUGR during both pregnancies, and Im assuming I'll probably have it this pregnancy too, but it usually doesn't develop until Im like 7 months

Chandra ~ So nice to have you with us! I'm sorry to see that you lost one of the sacs, but thrilled to see your good news that you have one strong heartbeat! I'm not familiar with IUGR. If this makes your pregnancy high risk, why wouldn't a high risk clinic have you as a patient? That seems unfair.

For you ladies who are 6+ weeks along now, how are you feeling? What changes are you noticing in your body/life?

Hi everybody!

I just found out that I'm pregnant!

I was freaking out about it on another forum and one of the nice ladies invited me over here.

It's so strange, isn't it? After trying so long and wanting this so bad I can't believe it's true. Family members are asking about due dates and stuff and I have to remind myself to answer them because they are finally talking to me.

My first doctor app is April 4.

This is so exciting!! There are so many of us due in November, it's great!! I am soooo anxious for my u/s, and it's still over two weeks away!! I just so badly want to know for sure if there is one or two, and see the little heartbeat!! I just want to know he/she is ok!!
