I feel perfectly fine, but they say having elevated blood sugar/prediabetes you have no signs or symptoms. I hope my 3hr test comes back normal on Monday but I feel it is very unlikely that will be the case.

Went for my NT scan today, but it was too soon to measure, so they're having me come back in two weeks. Annoying. But the doc said everything looked really good, so if I want to go public, I can/should start telling people. Not sure how I feel about that yet....

Well that sucks that it was to soon to tell 2 weeks should make a huge difference.
About telling people, thats a tough one for some people. A lot of people say once you hit the 12 week mark you are pretty safe, but I say you never know when something may happen. My suggestion would be if you feel comfortable with telling everyone now, a week/2 wont make much of a difference. Just enjoy the here and now knowing everything is going well!

My OB seemed pretty confident that everything was going to be just fine -- and so far, I've discerned that doctors tend not to give false hope. So I am willing to believe her, but I am still worried that something will go wrong and then I'll have to explain things to everyone I've told. Not a fun prospect. I wish I could fast forward ahead to, oh, November. Then I'll feel comfortable telling everyone (who by then will just think I've gotten really, really fat).

Eggy ~ I'm sorry to hear that the NT scan didn't work out today. How far along are you? Why did the doctor schedule it for now in the first place? What is the typical time frame for this scan? (Sorry for all the questions).

I'm 11 weeks, 2 days. The time frame is 11-14 weeks for the NT scan, and based on my u/s last Friday, my OB thought I'd be ready. (I was originally scheduled for next week but asked to move it up, which she said would be fine.) My OB's office brings in a special NT u/s technician on Wednesdays, but she wasn't able to do an accurate measurement this early and suggested to my OB and me that I come back in two weeks. Based on what she saw, though, she said the neck did not look thick at all and that the baby looked great. But I'd also like a scientific analysis.

Oh, that makes sense. I don't blame you for wanting confirmation either. Thanks for answering all the questions. I thought that was the time frame, just wasn't sure.

Im so sick of freakin bleeding, I woke up this morning to bleeding, it wasn't bad and it was a little bit, and it wasn't even bright red. So I put on a pantiliner and came to work, I just went to the bathroom, and there's brown blood but only when I wipe, all of a sudden, there's a freakin clot. WTF!!!

Chandra, the bleeding can be so nerve wracking when it goes away and then comes back. It makes you want to have an u/s each and every time just to be sure everything is fine. The OB's once you have bleeding and they see the baby is ok, they dont seem to concerned about the bleeding from that point on.
Makes it all a little more frustrating if you ask me.

Hopefully it will go away and not come back after this time. Praying all is well for you!

Last Thursday was my last bleeding episode, "knock on wood" I suspect it wont be my last though.

They didn't give you any reason for the bleeding either, I think we would probably feel better if we knew what was causing the bleeding, instead of just getting surprised every so often.

I just talked to my Ob office, and they sheduled me for an appt next Wednesday, my next appt wasn't scheduled until May 12, I just told DH, I may end up seeing the OB every 2 weeks with the way Im going. Well actually my appt next week will be the 3rd week in a row I've been in the office. It's just driving me crazy that as of right now there seems to be no reason for the bleeding.

This is so true! When I was bleeding with no reason I just thought it was inevitable I was going to miscarry. Once they told me I had Subchronic Hematoma, I was nervous but felt much better about there actually being a reason for the bleeding. I would contact your OB and tell them you want a more thourough exam if possible. There must be some reasoning for bleeding so often.

Chandra-sorry to hear about the bleeding. I bet all you want right now is to feel uncomplicateed and worry free. I know how that feels. Ill be praying for you! I hate that bleeding can mean nothing. Its such a scare.

so, whoever said that they would use cherries as a theme for a girl--thats the cutest idea Ive ever heard. Its great bc that theme grows, and nothing is as irresistible as little red cherries!

Kristen- did you say that you just found out its a boy? Thats amazing. You know, w my Stephen, we found out gender really early too. It was right before 12 weeks, and they said they could tell and asked if we wanted to know, and we did. Bc it was a high tech machine, you could clearly see his little *. Very cute. but it was a little shocking to find out suddenly and unexpectedly, especially since everyone kept saying they thought it was a girl. I was glad to know early, so I could start bonding with the idea of a boy. (all my sisters had girls first) I love that you found out so early. I think we are going to have an elective 3D scan at 15 or 16 weeks. CANT WAIT. I want to shop!!
ps I think gymboree has the cutest boy clothes!
