I definitely feel the same way. It's totally not a reality yet, and I don't think it will be until I feel my baby move for the first time. I'm just so worried something is going to happen. I try to stay realistic and I guess a little guarded.

I have different names that I like but nothing definite, DH told me he likes Ashton, my MIL likes Caleb, Donovan, and some other names I can't remember right now...LOL
I know someone said Riley as a boy's name, what about as a girl name?

My ears perked up at the thought of ani-nausea pills too! Last pregnancy my doctor suggested Unisom, but it's a sleeping medication and not so good for when I'm at work. Of course, that's when the nausea is the worst.

I'm feeling lots of twinges and periodic soreness near my uterus. I keep telling myself that it's normal but I can't help but worry. Last night I made the big mistake of going online and looking up vanishing twin syndrome. I didn't realize how often it happens! Now I'm convinced it's going to happen to me and I'm getting worried again. This happened the last pregnancy too. For the whole first trimester each appt. with the Dr. only assured me that everything was okay for a day or two, then I worried until the next appt. I don't like having 2 weeks until my next u/s!

I know Am, I'm the same way. I just had an awesome beta the day before yesterday, yet all the pulling and menstral-feeling cramps last night really had me worried. I'm fine today. The crampy feelings I've had this morning aren't as bad or as scary as last night's.

These feelings are completely normal and so is the worry...so much easier said than done!

This worry we're feeling now will be with us the rest of our lives. It may not always be this bad and there may be periods when we're not even aware of it, but it will always be there. Now we're all worrying about carrying to term and having healthy babies, then it will be worrying about accidents (bumping heads on coffee tables, falling off their bikes, etc), getting bullied at school, having broken hearts...etc...worrying is part of parenting I think.

Thank goodness we've got each other here to support one another and talk each other out of excessive worry!

Is it strange that my RE doesn't do a second Beta if the first number is over 100? I get no more info until my ultrasound on April 2nd!

I think I would go crazy if I could not get a second BETA test. I am trying to hold back from begging for a 3rd BETA. I see so many people having 3rd BETAs, I am sure that my anxiety would be relieved (somewhat ).

It is hard not telling anyone. I also had a m/c several years ago and I think that traumatized me. Now I am so concerned about numbers and what ifs instead of being naive/ignorant to the world of pregnancy complicatins. Now I am trying to wait to 12 weeks to tell anyone, but want to at least get to my u/s. Now my husband, is having such a HARD time not telling ayone. I don't know, he may blow sooooon.....

I know it might sound stupid (maybe not to you all) but I feel like I can't wait to get sick and stuff! I'm really excited to start feeling pregnant.

You know at first, I was scared of those cramps, but now I am noticings that at certain times of the day I have no symptoms, than I start panicing, but when I feel a cramp, I calm down a bit. It calms me because I know the baby is growing, which is good. Now if I don't feel cramps, I start to worry. LOL

I thought I was going crazy!!!! I went to the store to buy stuff for my super cookies and carrot cake yesterday. I remember standing in front of the cream cheese trying to decide if the light was light enough to be worth it...it wasn't...the regular won out. Or so I thought! So I got home, baked my cake, then went to get the cream cheese out for the frosting...nowhere! I even looked in the car to see if it had fallen out of a bag...nowhere! So I gave up and assumed that I had lost my mind and put both kinds back. Well this morning I go to get the Easter candy out of my hiding spot, and voila! It was in the bag with the candy. Fortunately, it was cold last night (again) so the cream cheese was fine...but I really thought I was going out of my mind.

There's something called "momnesia" that my friend complained about after having her little girl, and GMA did a story on last week. A lot of women complain that they can't remember things after giving birth that they could before (dates, events, times, places, etc). This is a true phenomenon. The drastic drop in estrogen and progesterone in your system after giving birth really does affect memory. It is designed to help you focus on the baby instead of everything else as before. Obviously the "momnesia" phenomenon couldn't be what affect me yesterday, which is why I was pretty sure I must have lost my mind temporarily.

I was probably still so mad at my DH that I wasn't paying attention to where I put the cream cheese (I bagged my own groceries).

Sam ~ The fact that your office doesn't do another beta is very strange. How do they know it is doubling and progressing otherwise? I'd ask for another.

Sega ~ If you want a 3rd...ask. My OB wasn't going to do another, but I wanted one to hold me over until my u/s this week. It is your money/insurance...ask.

I hope you all have a lovely Easter today!

I'm very happy to know that you guys all have crampy feelings sometimes too. I knew I had heard about them but when I looked up pregnancy symptoms, it didn't say anything about cramping. My cramps aren't bad, they just feel sort of like the mild ones you get before your period. They come and go during the day.
I don't know if I'm having other symptoms or not. It's easy to read too much into every little feeling. Lately I've been feeling really hungry but when I eat I get full really fast. I feel like I will throw up if I eat one more bite. My boobs have started to hurt some too. The sides of them hurt.

Oh, I have some questions too.
I bought some prenatal vitamins yesterday and when I took them (with food) I got really nauseous. Anyone else have that? I don't know if it was the pills or not. I guess I'll find out today...
Also, what will happen on my first appointment? I'm a little worried because the woman on the phone asked me what my first day of last period was and I told her (Feb 7) and that's how she made the appointment. But I didn't ovulate until cd 28 (Mar 5), I think. Will that mess up my appointment? I'm worried that I'll go and they won't be able to see the baby or hear the heart and I'll freak out. My appointment is April 4th.

Infertilitynovice -
When I saw my OB the first time for my last pregnancy she told me why pregnant women can never remember things. I can't remember the percentages, but normally the majority of your blood goes to your brain, then your kidneys and other organs. When you're pregnant, something like 75% of your blood goes to your uterus leaving not nearly enough for your brain. So there's a very real reason why you can't remember things during pregnancy. My OB had been pregnant 3 times and always forgot things like her keys, ID, etc. while she was pregnant.

Leah00 - It's normal to have a problem with nausea taking prenatal vitamins. I take mine when I go to bed to avoid the problems. It seems to work.
Also, they calculate your due date based on your last period, but they also assume that your period was 14 days before conception. That's because most people don't know when they conceived. If you do know when you conceived, either give them that date and they can calculate backward, or give them 14 days prior to conception for the date of your last period. The more your doctor is certain you know your conception date, the better. I always give them the date of my IUI because then they'll know that my due date is what it is. It helped in certain instances last pregnancy when they would have done certain things if I didn't know my conception date for sure because they wouldn't have known the gestational age of th ebaby for sure, but since I did they were able to rule those things out. HTH.

Am ~ thanks for the additional info...I didn't know memory was affected during pregnancy too. I feel much better now.

Leah ~ Like Am said, lots of women have trouble with the prenatal vitamins during the day and take them at night instead. I've noticed the same thing about eating. I LOVE food...food is one of my favorite things but lately I've noticed too that I get full fast. I have the worst time leaving food on my plate normally, but lately, if I'm done, I'm done. Any more and it makes me feel sick too. Weird! Of course once our babies are right under our stomachs later, we really won't be able to eat much at a sitting. I hope this will teach me better eating habits. I have a well rounded diet now, but that clearing my plate thing has always been a problem. My parents use to make me clear my plate, now it is a bad habit. I won't make my child clear his/her plate...sometimes the best things our parents can teach us is what NOT to do later

I love food too, that's why I'm really noticing this getting full thing. I'm really surprised that I don't weigh a lot more than I do because there are certain foods that I will just pig out on. Last night we had my favorite kind of pizza and I ate two smaller pieces and felt like I was stuffed. I felt like it was going to come back up.
I took the vitamins this morning (before I read about taking them at night) but they didn't make my stomach upset so maybe it was a fluke.
