I'm due in November too. I just got my first positive beta today. I'm proceding cautiously since I've had losses in the past, but I'm still excited. I'm looking forward to seeing my doubling rate on Friday.

Yay! Another November! It was starting to get awfully lonely here.

I've been totally obsessing over beta numbers. I hate this waiting stuff.

Hello lucky ladies!! I guess I'm allowed to be here now too if you don't mind me joining? I got my first positive HPT Sunday. I could barely believe it so I POAS again Monday morning before my first BETA. I got my results late yesterday. My first beta on 13dpiui was 119. I'm thinking that's pretty good. I've seen other ladies' numbers that were lower and still successful. My P4 level was 21.7, so that's good too. I go for my 2nd beta tomorrow. for doubled numbers! I can really tell that I'm pregnant so that must be a good sign too. It is so cool!

This was my frist IUI so I feel incredibly blessed that it worked. Amzippity, I'm feelilng very cautious too. I know that so much can go wrong, but I'm working to put those negative thoughts out of my head when they begin to creep in.

According to calculations, my date would be 11/18. It turned out my mother had scheduled a cruise during that week so now she's going to put it off until after Christmas so she can fly up to be with me.

What kind of symptoms are you ladies experiencing so far?

Congratulations! You can definately join us. It's rather quiet here so far.

The only symptom I'm having so far is heartburn. It's wierd because I think the last time I was pregnant I didn't get heartburn really badly until I was on the tail end of the nausea. Then it just kept getting worse. Maybe this time I'll skip the nausea. Oh - my breasts are also sore and big. Oye.

Don't worry about my caution. I hope it doesn't spread to you ladies! I'm cautious on doctors orders. We're not sure I'll be able to carry this baby to term. I didn't last time. I went into preterm labor at 22 weeks and the baby didn't make it through delivery. We're just hoping I can make it to 28 weeks but 32 weeks would be better. That's why I'm nervous about twins - twins would be more dangerous for preterm labor.

Good luck with your second beta! My third one is on Friday. I'm getting anxious!

Am ~ Will they do a cervical cerclage this time? I'm so sorry to read about your loss on your signature. Possibly this pregnancy will be okay since everyone will be on close watch. Don't worry about your worry spreading...we can't get away from reality or statistics. All we can do is stay positive and pray that we all have wonderful and healthy full term pregnancies.

Good luck on Friday. Your beta numbers have been awesome so far, I'm sure they will continue to be.

It is still early, we're sure to have more Thanksgiving babies join us.

infertilitynovice -

I just saw in your signature that your beta almost tripled! Yay! That's a doubling time of 31 hours. That's good!

Yes, they'll put a cerclage in at 13 weeks and monitor me closely afterward.

hopefull79 -

Congratulations and Welcome! It's good to have more Novembers here.

Yey Hopefull! It is so awesome that 2 of us made it out of our group with s! I wish more had made it.

Thanks Am ~ yeah, the fert. coordinator called this afternoon to give me the good news. I was really getting nervous. I had a bad dream last night about it. Crazy! I dreamt that the numbers were up but not really strong and that my prog dropped to 5.

My first U/S is 3/28. I really don't like the OB that did my IUI and HSG b/c she's insensitive and cold, but apparently she's the "go to" person in town, so I'm pretty much stuck with her. I looked into another OB group, but they use my doc to supplement on call hours within their group. So, it seems even if I go to this other group, she still might be on call when I go into labor. ARRGGHH! Oh, well, at least everyone else in her office is awesome. My US will be with a really sweet nurse practioner that I've already met.

How "thankful" we'll all be this holiday season when we've got our little turkeys in our arms!! It is probably not the nicest thing in the world...calling our children "turkeys"...but you know what I mean.

Hello November Ladies
Sorry to intrude on your thread but I wanted to say to Amzippity to try and be positive. I have an incompetent cervix and almost lost my son 3 times. At 15-16 weeks I had a cerclage placed and then around 21-22 weeks I started pre term labor but fortunately I got to the hospital quickly and I was put on a terbutaline Tocolytic medication and that held me off until 37 weeks when I had a very healthy 8lb 5 oz boy. It can be scary especially when you lost one already (like I had too) but know you can and will have a great outcome. Here is a link if you want to read more about it:

I hope my story helped you feel a little better!
