Because my history of ectopic, they're going to monitor me a little more closely which is perfectly fine with me.

And I'm pretty sure it's allergies. The pollen counts around here are through the roof. It might be worse because of being pregnant, but that's definitely not the only cause. My GP said that OTC Claritin is fine to take so I might try that. I've taken it before but I can't remember if it helped or not. And as for the acupuncture, I would love to try it but it's not covered by our insurance and I'm not sure I could afford it based on what other people have told me about the cost of their treatments.
Jenny - yippee!!!! you and I are going to climb slow and sure - I am very happy for you. I was supposed to go MOnday as well for my 3rd beta, but my veins are so sore and bruised, so I pushed it until Tuesday.

have a great weekend pregnant sista

Good beta's everyone!

Question-is it normal for me to be throwing up AFTER I eat? I've thrown up 4 times total (twice today), and it seems like I get sick after I eat. Well, let me be more specific. I think it's if I eat something greasy, although the second time I had a cup of tomato basil soup for lunch, and it only lasted about 20 minutes before it came back up. Tonight it was pizza. Is that normal? I thought pregnant peeps felt sick when they HADN'T eaten anything (like in the morning).

Thanks Joline, have a wonderful pregnant weekend

Oh yes, and as for the throwing up, as far as I know, anything and everything is normal with vomit and nausea. It is round the clock and with or w/o food. Check around online and in some books, but I am sure you will find women who are reacting the same way your stomach is. I feel nauseous in the afternoon and evening.

I'm a little concerned because I've been having kinda sharp but very local pains about 2 inches below my belly button. They've been coming and going throughout the day. They're not so sharp I can't stand it, but every now and then, it's bad enough that I say "ow" out loud instead of just in my head. It kinda feels like I'm being poked by something pointed but dull.. like a letter opener or something. Should I call someone or just see how it goes?

Jenny,
I don't really know. I am probably a pest to my RE because I call whenever I am concerned about something like that. I have heard that some people get cramping from uterus stretching. The other night I had a few light pains on my left side, like where I imagine my left ovary to be.

I'm wondering if you should post this in the larger forum too so that ladies who are further along in their pregnancies can respond. I know that I have seen similar posts before.

Will be thinking of you.

Hi everyone!
I was going to wait until my u/s before joining this group, but I just couldn't wait any longer! It's so nice to have people to share the journey with. My ultrasound is this Friday the 11th and I am praying that we see a very strong heartbeat! By the way, my anticipated due date is Dec. 1, so I'm right on the cusp of 2 different months...couldn't decide which thread to join!

As for pains, I actually just spoke to RE yesterday regarding this (and some brownish discharge - sorry TMI) and she said it was perfectly normal to feel twinges and cramping (almost like AF) and have some spotting. She said really bad pains accompanied by red blood bleeding should be called in. (And then she said to call with ANY concerns). So I think if you're worried about pains, make the call to ease your mind! That's why they are there.

Good luck everyone! Looking forward to watching everyone's progress during this exciting time!

Shannon and Amy! Our group is growing, which means more success stories on the board!

According to an online calculator, I'm due Dec. 6th. If I go by LMP I'm due 12-4, but if I go by the day I think I O'd (the day after a positive OPK), then I'm due 12-6.

Amy!! Good luck with your ultrasound on Friday.

According to the different calculators I've looked at, I'm due anywhere between the 9th and the 11th.

I'm feeling better about the twinges. I posted the question on the general pregnancy board and the responses were all that it was most likely just normal pains. And I looked in my Mayo Clinic pregnancy book and it said occassional twinges should just be mentioned at the next doctor visit. And I've only felt one or two since I got up today so that's good.

Other than that I feel kinda crummy today. Just kinda blah. A little nauseous too. I think I need some sun.. it's been rainy for the past few days

I'm glad you're feeling better about the twinges. Now we just need to get you some sun! It's been like that around here, but it was beautiful yesterday, so we went on a walk, dh cleaned the gutters, and we wanted to mow the lawn, but our stupid lawnmower wouldn't start. Ugh.
