I didn't really feel the baby move until around 20 weeks. That's when I knew for sure that it was the baby moving. You'll start to feel the baby any day now I'm sure.

I just put shea butter lotion on all over since my skin has been so dry lately. I think it's cocoa butter that is supposed to help with the stretch marks but most "experts" say it's hereditary anyway.

We won't be taking any child care classes since we have a son but I need to look into Lamaze classes. When are we supposed to take those?

Tulip-

I started the creams and lotions by the end of my first trimester. I figure it cant hurt to mosturise! I signed up for a third trimester class and breatfeeding class but now I am on modified bed rest so I dont know if I will be able to attend.... hhhmmm maybe I can go in a wheel chair!

Dont worry about not feeling your baby yet. I didnt feel anything with mine until I was about 19 1/2 weeks and Ive got 3 munchkins in there!!!! It will be slow and steady too... just feels like air bubbles at first.

I started to feel the baby off and on around 18 weeks, but I could go for several days and not feel anything. Now I usually feel something everyday.

I was just talking to a girl about classes a few days ago and she told me to go ahead and sign up for the childbirth classes as soon as possible, our hospital offers free classes so they fill up fast, I too plan on taking a breastfeeding class. My friend also recommended that I attend mommy and me after the baby is hear. It's once a week for new mom's and she said it was the best thing she ever did. She said it's a pot of knowledge.

Denise-he is so cute! great to be a guinea pig at your job!!!

Tulip-I don't do anything but the normal moisturizing after my shower. As for kicks, all I felt at your stage was like soda bubbles popping in my belly, and they were very faint. I had to be on my side, curled up, to feel them. They got stronger around 20 weeks. I still don't feel them all the time. It really depends on how your baby is situated, and the placenta could be on the belly side, which makes it even harder to feel the kicks until baby gets much bigger. Don't worry, you will feel kicks soon enough and they will keep you awake at night
As for classes, I signed up for 4 at the hospital. Unfortunately we have to pay for them. I just got my conformation for them yesterday. I think they are Child Care, Child Birth, Breastfeeding and Infant CPR. I took it all because I don't have much experience with babies. DH will be with me for all of them (he still comes to each and every one of my Drs appts, including my Orthopedic appt for my back last week!!!). My Ob told me to sign up for the classes at my last appt (around 18 weeks). My classes will be in Nov and December, before the holidays. They didn't have the schedule for next year out yet, and I wanted to get everything done before I was 35-36 weeks anyway...

Thank you ladies! I JUST bought crib bedding as I had clearly been waiting to do that. We didn't really have many affordable options for our bedding since we have a round crib...here it is, what do you think.

JCPenney : "Bubble Gum" Round Baby Bedding & Accessories

We are tossing around a few names. Either Addison Josephine or Maria Josephine. Addison would be neat because it means "child of Adam" and thats my husband's name! Also, I used to call him Addy J and we would be able to call our little girl the same thing...so that name would have special meaning. As for Maria, we just like it...and there was a great Carlos Santana song called Maria, Maria and I love it! Really, that wouldn't by why we would choose the name, but its always what I think of!

Candice I LOVE the name Addison! AND I love that you chose a round crib. I think they are so classy looking. If we had one baby we probably would have gone that route.
