That's so great that you're measuring ahead! Yippee! Our due dates are so close together. How fun!

Congratulations to all that have had their appts today! I am so nervous...mine isn't until June 20th. I hope to hear one strong heartbeat. Two would be awesome, but one healthy one is all I can ask for! Am I the only one here whose dr only ordered ONE beta test??? I was 103 on the day I was supposed to get my period and they were like, "Yup, that's fine. See ya on the 20th." 11 days to go....

Congrats again to all!

great second beta

Just a quick update, my beta was 1402 (it was 238 4 days ago) soo good numbers, and just as exciting the cat I am treating has CNS .lymphoma and not toxoplasmosis (yeah for me, bad for the cat!).

I know some of you are farther along than I am, have you started having any pregnancy symptoms yet. All I have is cramps (quite frequently actually most of the time) and maybe a little tenderness in the boobs but only if i smash em? nothing else so far.

Well I just wanted to let everybody know that I got my BETA #3 back and it was 2560 (approx)!!!! I am exactly 5 weeks today and I had pelvic pains all last week. The "sensations" I am feeling in the pelvic area are now very dull. Other symptoms are that my breasts are getting bigger already and they are more sensitive....I am feeling tired off and on during the day but nothing major. Oh and I had this weird occurrence after I ate steak that my gums were sore. I looked it up on the internet and they said that the pregnancy hormone can cause your tooth gums to soften. Crazy huh!!!!
Anyway we are very excited and I am trying very hard to be positive so that I can enjoy every minute of this pregnancy. We have been trying for almost 7 years so we have been waiting for a long time for this!!! Now we just wait until the ultrasound which is in 10 days!!! I have a good feeling about everything this time around. I miscarried 6 months ago so it has been an emotional roller coaster. I know a lot of people can relate on this thread so I am glad to be able to talk to women that have had the same experiences as I have.
Smoothmelo - Congrats on the good BETA number
Jencat - congrats on the Ultasound results
Valerie - TWINS how exciting!!!

I don't know why but my RE scheduled my u/s so far away I don't know how much longer I can wait to find out if I am still ok. Plus I am not even going to get anymore beta's so i am just there with my worries.

Thanks Cari for making me fell better about the
hotdogs. I am now worrying that I may have eaten some of those tomatoes that were supposedly recalled or something to that extent. I saw it briefly on one of the news shows and I think our state was one of the one's affected. I must be totally loosing it coz honestly daily I find something to just freak me out.

Cat, what tomato recall? I've been eating tomato and tomato products like they're going out of style!

Hi cathy I found it on our local news network
Stores Pull Tomatoes To Avoid Salmonella - Health News Story - KMBC Kansas City
I guess people are now going for the home grown, fresh tomatoes from the organic stores or local farmers.I will wait off on the tomatoes, yesterday was my last day with them after I saw this news.

Hi ladies,

I've been watching the postings on this thread but have been hesitant to join until I got my 3rd beta. My first was 100 and my RE said that was a little low, so they brought me in three days later and it was 497 (good progress) and yesterday it was 2600! Yipee!!

I'm wondering if anyone else has spotting. I've had a little almost every day (pinkish) but this morning it was particularly bad. It's totally freaking me out. I keep reading everything I can online. I'm terrified of having another miscarriage so I'm really taking it easy and keeping my feet up (not too sure if that makes a difference...but at least it makes me feel better). Anyway, has anyone else had spotting?

Congratulations to everyone!! It's wonderful to see so many people in this thread!

Congratulations on great beta's smoothmelo & babydust!!!! Seems as though my symptoms really crept up in my 5th week so maybe you have something to look forward to! No sore BB's here, just bigger. Fatigue, but also I can't sleep well. Nausea....ehhhh. DH is so sweet and brings me a little toast w/ cheese every morning in bed to help settle my tummy. The sensitive gum thing is strange and reminded me that my scalp has been feeling tingly. Wierd, huh! Also when I get out of bed in the morning my calf muscles are sooo sore and it feels like I'm about to get a charlie horse. Dare I mention heartburn and terrible constipation? Ohhh the joys!

Cat, thanks for the info! My DH mentioned something to me last night too. I'm going to do my best to stay away from them.

Mandi- Congrats on the Beta! Looks great! I think most of us will be on edge for pretty much 9 months. We can support each other!

Smoothmelo- Great Beta as well!!! Okay, so can you explain how you get toxoplasmosis and what it does? I remember with my first pregnancy they told me not to change our cats litter pan. Ever since then, DH has been doing it. But are there other ways you could catch it aside from the litter box? Because sometimes he doesn't end up finishing his business in the litter box and he'll get some outside which I end up picking up because I just can't leave it (with a papertowel of course).

Emily- that's a great beta. Usually they at least do 2 betas to make sure you're at least doubling. I would ask about that. Are you seeing an Ob or an RE?

Jen, Great that you saw the hearbeat! You're little one is doing great!

Valerie- Good to see the littles ones are growing- and ahead of schedule.

How's everyone else doing- our little group is growing so much, I think I'm having a hard time keeping track! Either that or it's the pregnancy hormones kicking in!

Speaking of which, I have been EXHAUSTED for the past 2 days. I don't know if its from the pregnancy, Heat (we're in a heat wave here in Boston), or if it could have been the fact that I took my daughter fishing for 3 hours on Sunday in 90 degree weather with our Girl Scout troop. I have not an ounce of energy and napped for 3 hours yesterday afternoon.

I'm also getting nauseous when I'm hungry. Once I eat, I'm fine.

I started spotting a few days ago. It went from light pink to rust to dark red and back and forth. I went to the Dr yesterday and they said it was totally and completly normal. It varies from woman to woman w/ some having it for a few days, weeks, or even the entire pregnancy. I also had cramping w/ the spotting but they said that was very normal, too. My u/s yesterday didn't show anything to worry about. On the contrary, I saw my 2 little beating HB's!

Oh Cathy, fishing for 3 hours in 90 degree weather?!?!? How did you do it? I'm exhausted and nauseous just thinking about it. You're a brave woman!

I'm terrified of having another miscarriage so I'm really taking it easy and keeping my feet up (not too sure if that makes a difference...but at least it makes me feel better). Anyway, has anyone else had spotting?

Congratulations to everyone!! It's wonderful to see so many people in this thread!

nlp!!! Great Beta!!! Sounds like you're doing the right thing. Just take it easy. I agree with Valerie.

LOL! I feel nauseous thinking about it now too- and YES I'm paying for it now! I have no idea how I did it. It was actually fun and something my daughter looks forward to. This is our 2nd year doing the fishing derby. Last year it was freezing cold and raining.
