Wholly Cow our Feb 2009 group is growing!!!! And once the nervous gals of the May BFP thread join us, we will be even bigger!!!

Manyblessings -- When do you go back for your next beta? I am it doubles for you.

Jencat-- Your u/s sounds awesome!!! I am soooo jealous you have had two already!! I am still a week away from my first one! What is a normal heart beat rate for our little beans now? I was looking for a website. I guess I will check the "What to expect . . ." book when I get home.

mle612 -- How come your RE only does one beta? Can you ask for more? My RE does betas until I hit 10,000.

smoothmelo -- Great second beta!! I am sorry about the cat being sick. How do you like being a vet? My symptoms are fleeting. But there's a thread on the IVF forum that says this is normal for 5 to 6 weeks.

babydust -- Great 3rd beta!!!! I heard about the gum and teeth thing too. Something else to look forward to!!!

nlp--- Great 3rd beta!!! I haven't had any spotting. But I have read a lot of girls on here have and it's supposed to be normal.

Cathy---No more hanging out that long in the summer heat or we will come to Boston and kick your butt!! Don't get overheated. I did some stuff around my back yard (It was 90s in Michigan too) but I came in the house often and drank lots of water.

Everyone else -- I hope you are all doing well!!!

My mom comes to visit for a week tomorrow. She lives in Texas. We get along so-so. This will be the week I wish I could drink!!

all new Feb girls!

For those of you wanting to know about symptoms, last week (starting week 5) I felt really tired and some strange pulling in my uterus area. The past few days I have been really sick with nausea. No throwing up (which I rarely do and really hate), but dizzy and all over ucky. I called my nurse and she ordered Zofran for me. Told me to take it at night first because it can make you sleepy. But said it would work right away. Well, it really did work. It is safe for pregnancy and if you feel like you need something ask for it! I haven't taken it yet this AM (oh, most drugs that make people tired make me wired and this drug was no exception. With codiene and pain killers, I am wide awake for hours! Same with benadryll). I will probably take it once I get to work.

Anyway, hope everyone is feeling well today. Someone asked about my 2 u/s's so early. Well, the first one was to check to make sure the sac is in the right place. Last year June 12 I had a ruptured ectopic and did not want to go through that again. Then this 2nd early u/s, well lets just say that I am anxious and pushed the nurse for it I go again next Tuesday and speak with the RE (can't remember what he looks like) then they will release me to my OB.

Wow! Where have i been???? There are so many new ladies on here now! Whoo-Hoo!!! Im so glad our group is getting bigger each day! Keep the BFP's coming!

Anyway to all our new girls!!!!

Valerie! I am so stoked for you! TWINS!! Double the blessings!!!! I am dying for my U/S! I think its cruel that they made me wait until week 8!!! This is worse than the 2 ww!

I bought a bunch of tomatoes yesterday at the store and now Im thinking I should toss em.... they were from a vine(which is supposed to be safe) but I dont want to take any chances! Maybe if I wasnt prego I would take the risk because I love TOMATOES.....

Cathy- I am so jealous of the heat in Boston! It still feels like winter in Utah! On memorial day we had a huge hail storm! What a way to ruin a day off! Oh p.s. Go Red Sox! If we end up having a boy we are going all out with the red sox themed nursery... (DH and his family are HUGE fans... grew up in Boston.)

Jen - Glad all went well with your U/S. Could you please send some of your assertiveness my way so I can rough up my nurse?

I feel prego on and off too these days... my boobs are super sore and I think I already need a new bra! I havent had any spotting thank goodness... but i am finally starting to feel a bit queasy when I wake up in the morning..... no puking though... if I eat then I feel better. But I get so mad at DH because hes trying to get me fat I swear!!! Last night I got home from work and all I wanted was a bowl of rice krispies. He was practically spoon feeding me steak and potatoes!!! I told him Im not technically eating for two!!!! Anyone else getting extra TLC from watchful DH"S eyes?

I "heart" Zofran. I took it twice this weekend for those periods where I thought I couldn't go on and how could I do this for the next 6-8 weeks. The thought actually made me so depressed. Once I popped a Zofran, all bad thoughts and feelings were long gone and 20 minutes later I was a happy preggo girl again.

I am the same way with those drugs Jen. Nyquil, helps with the symptoms but keeps me up all night. Vicodine has no effect on me (helps the pain but again wide awake, unless I take 2 then I get the jitters and might fall asleep)

good to see that I am not the only one that reacts this way with drugs!

does anyone see a chiropractor? I know that it is supposed to be safe in pregnancy, but guess I'll ask my nurse first. I am doing acupuncture today (if I feel well enough to make the drive).

Eating for me is hard. I love to eat but there is nothing that I feel like eating. And I love ice tea and diet coke, but even those don't taste right!

Oh Roxane, we're totally happy to share the heat! I'll send some your way! GO SOX is right! That is so cool that you are going to do that theme for a boy. My friend actually had a mural of Fenway Park painted in her son's room. It looked really nice! So what part of Boston is DH (or his family) from?

I swear we have the same taste in food. I literally just had a bowl of rice krispies!!! And last night, guess what we had for dinner- Steak on the grill and potato salad! I'm seriously trying to watch what and how much I eat because I don't want to get gestational diabetes again.

My DH isn't trying to feed me, I SWEAR he is having sympathy pains- he has been eating nonstop!

Fact or Myth?

Since we are all getting our ultrasounds right about now or soon let's see if this is myth or fact.

Heart rate under 150 = boy!

Heart rate over 150= girl!

Also, how many of you are going to find out what you're having?

jen, I don't do chiropractor, but I do AP too. How do you like it??

Oh ladies, I had a craving for chili cheese fries at lunch and now I am sorry. I am sooooo full and now soooo sleepy!!!! I need a big diet pepsi (not caffiene free either!!).

As to finding out the gender, we will totally find out. I am too much of a "planner" not to.

I'll be finding out the genders, too. Can't wait! We didn't find out what the HR was yesterday, so next u/s I'll request it!

Chili cheese fries...ohhh that's daring!

2nd beta was 1416.3. This is great news. My first beta was 27.6 7 days ago. If it is supposed to double every 72 hours - wow...I'm a little nervous. Think their may be more than one in there? I know a lot of your numbers are much higher. But I know everyone is different too. Sorry for rambling.

My progesterone was 18.5 and that is with me taking the supplements already. So they are adding a progesterone shot. ugh! I know it won't be fun. But it is better safe than sorry.
