I was just thinking the same thing. I hadn't posted in a while thinking that I was missing out on how everyone was doing. I came to the thread a couple of days ago and no new posts! I miss everyone!
I know there are a few of us on the Winter Mommies thread, but I find it hard to keep up with. How are the babies doing? I can't believe it has been almost 4 months for us! Daniel is the happiest baby. He smiles from the minute he wakes up until he goes to bed. What size clothes is everyone in? Daniel is in 3-6 months already! daniel-web.JPG

Hey Cathy,
I'm glad that Daniel is doing well! Nicholas has reflux so he has good days and fussy days but I think we're getting better! I bought 3-6 month summer clothes for him. They're still too big but he'll grow into them fast! I'm back to work now and I'm glad that DH is able to take care of him! I can go in and not worry about him! Hopefully we'll see some more people from our group post some updates!

Glad to hear the reflux is getting better!
3-6 months is roomy on Daniel too but not too bad- he will have room to grow into them. I made the mistake of waiting until things just fit and then he grew out of them just as fast. I have 0-3 month outfits that he never got to wear. Hope we hear from some of the other ladies. Post some pics when you get a chance.

hi girls!
I've been hanging at the winter mommys thread. But I will update here too. i went back to work last Thurs. Wyatt is in daycare and so far has had a stomach bug and a cold. I am sick with a sore throat and cold so I am home today. I am not sure how much longer I can work if Wyatt is constantly sick. He sounds so terrible! Wyatt is about 12.5 lbs now. He has reflux and is on prevacid. It was helping alot, but then he got sick so now he is projectile vomiting He can still wear 0-3 months but if it has feet he is too long for it. 3-6 months are too big though. He is a long and lean baby. And he insist on you holding him up so he can 'walk' on his feet. It is cute, but tiring Sleep? none here. we had a few 5-6 hour stretches (unfortunately they start at around 8pm), but since he got sick last Friday he is up nursing a ton during the night. he can't eat too much at one time. and he is so congested. Here is a pic of me and my little cutie from last week

Cathy - Daniel is so cute!! How is work going for you? Who looks after Daniel?
Jen - sorry to hear Wyatt is sick. Nicholas is now just getting over a cold. He was absolutely miserable, and the funny thing is non of us are sick so I guess I brought it home from the hospital. Nicholas will sleep for a 5-6 hour stretch in his PNP, then after I feed him he has a hard time staying flat, he keeps waking up. We eventually go to the couch and let him sleep on us......I know bad habit but he'll sleep for another 3-4 hours that way otherwise your up every 30 minutes with him. I'm so happy I can stay home with him so he isn't exposed to so many germs. My peds won't give me prevacid for his reflux. What kind of symptoms was Wyatt having? Denise- Nicolas is adorable!!! Wyatt had colic and was (is) throwing up quite a bit. he was having issues eating.... he'd arch his back while eating and cry/fuss. He doesn't have the screaming/fuss issues anymore, but he has been spitting up a bit (we stopped the prevacid for a few days and he started spitting up again). I think the prevacid really helps.
I am trying to become a SAHM. I have to stay at work until a. they fire me (one can hope) and b. we finish our refi (end of June). I am trying to start a craft business (fused glass...see my website in my siggie). So much paper work and crap. All I want to do is make the glass! I don't want to be involved in any business part, but in order to make money, I must. I am nervous. I am trying to go for 2 art festivals and a art association, all juried. I need to make a artist statement (I like making fused glass. The end) and do a booth set up and send in pictures of that (I don't want to buy all that stuff until I get accepted! But I have to). Sigh. it wouldn't be too bad if I didn;t have my 9-5 job!

Hi Girls!
Sorry I have been MIA again. Things have been sooo busy! Jen and Denise, Wyatt and Nicholas are sooo cute! Isn't it amazing how big they get so fast? Hopefully the bugs will slow down a bit now that the weather is getting warmer. I have been worried about that swine flu going around so we haven't been out too much. Daniel is spitting up much less now. I think his gastric valve is definitely more developed now, thank God! We just had our 4 month check up and he's 15 pounds 3 ounces and 25 inches long! Denise, Work is going great. I actually have 2 jobs. I'm a medical transcriptionist working from home. I do this about 24 hours a week. And then I am also a consultant for Tastefully Simple working from home- you might have heard of it- it's a home taste testing company. I do "taste testing parties". Currently I am doing 1 party a week along with supporting a team of 35 consultants. It's definitely challenging at times to work because I would love to spend all my time with the baby, but I need the income. Sooo, Jen, I hear you on the wanting to be a SAHM. WAHM is not so bad if you are disciplined. It will take time to get your business off the ground. It took me about 1-1/2 years to get my Tastefully Simple business going strong enough to quit my full time job. So I did both for 1-1/2 years along with taking care of my 2 year old daughter. It was hard but I didn't mind spending the extra time on my business because I knew that I was the one that was going to benefit. Good luck! I think Daniel might have a food allergy because that terrible rash on his face never went away. The pedi had to give us a steroid cream to put on it. It finally went away. I have cut peanuts, milk and eggs from my diet. It's really hard but I think his skin looks better. But he is still battling cradle cap- just patches of it. I'm wondering it it's also related to the "allergy". Do you guys have any suggestions or solutions? Here is another pic of him, we just had him baptized a couple of weekends ago. 66390034.jpg

Hey Cathy,
Good to hear from you! I'm glad that things are going well. Sorry to hear that Daniel may have some food allergies that stinks. Have you started him on any baby food yet? I'm glad to hear that your business is doing well. I have heard of the company, I went to a party while I was pregnant and bought some stuff!! Nicholas is growing...I go today for his 4 month check up and shots! you know how that goes, so we'll see how much he weighs, I took him off of all of his reflux meds too and he seems to be doing really well.He has some teething going on so he's been chewing on everything in sight, but otherwise a much more content baby thank goodness. I think it's just taken me some time to figure out his cues as to when he's tired and hungry! Attachment 59456

Ugh, I hate the shots. We've been getting 3 shots plus the rotavirus drink the past 2 visits. Good luck and have the infant Tylenol ready. I've had to use it the past 2 times because he's grumpy for the next day, but then he's happy again.
We haven't started food yet. The pedi says to wait until 6 months especially since he might have food allergies. Do you think you're going to start food yet? Keep me posted on that. You know, Daniel has been putting everything in his mouth, he gnaws on his fist, fingers and occasionally chokes himself. I was wondering if he was teething but I also think it's his way of exploring. He's not cranky so I think it's morer exploring. Regarding Tastefully Simple- yeah the food is really yummy, I really enjoy doing it and the flexibility is great. You're back to work too right? How's that going for you? I LOVE that picture of Nicholas. Is that an exersaucer he's in? We haven't tried to put Daniel in one yet but think he'll be ready soon. Post his stats when you get a chance. Quote:

hi girls...
cathy-mineral oil for the cradle cap... it works wonders. just put it on with a cotton ball and rub it in, then rub it off. wyatt's cleared up in 2 days! wyatt is teething too, but he has turned into such a happy baby and a little snuggler. he loves to be held in a standing position. he plays by himself, but only for short periods. he prefers company. sorry so short... pumping at work here.

Thanks for the tip Jen! I will give it a try. LOVE those pictures of Wyatt- look how happy he is! This is such a good age. Daniel loves to be upright too. He's not fond of the cradle position unless he's eating.
