I asked my RE about sex at my u/s and he said he had nothing against it. I still have not had the nerve b/c I'm scared I will spot. Dh is not to happy about this but he'll get over it. HAHA

Hey girls- I actually posted a thread a few weeks ago on when its okay to do the baby dance. Most of the women on there said wait until after your first u/s just to be on the safe side. So I am waiting until I am 8 weeks to have sex with poor DH. I think I would flip out if I started to spot. Anyone asked their RE's yet?

In response to the BD question, I feel bad for DH but I told him we HAVE to wait until after I have my ultrasound. By the way, I think I'm going to go by myself this MOnday and have him stay home with our daughter. If everything is good, then I will have them both come to the 2nd one.

Here's a question, is the 1st usd usually a transvag or abdominal one?

Morning ladies! Hope everyone's doing well. TGIF! It's funny, I keep forgetting to ask my RE about BD. It's like the last thing from my mind when I'm at the clinic. I feel so bad for DH... I miss that intimacy but the thought makes me kind of nervous. Good thing we can keep things creative, right? So I had quite the scare last night. Yesterday evening I started spotting red, then it got heavier and brighter and I had sharp cramps. DH and I were a wreck. We called the RE on call who said to come in this morning. Needless to say, it was a completely sleepless night. After waiting 45 minutes we got in for the u/s and saw both babies and both HB's. What a relief! My RE was so concerned that he sat in the room w/ us (he doesn't perform the u/s's). On Monday both babies measured 6w1d but today one measured 6w6d and the other 6w5d. At least if I do some more bleeding now I won't panic (as much). I tell ya, it's going to be a long 30 weeks... Oh, and Cathy, the first u/s is a vaginal one as that's the only way to see the HB this early. I'm so excited for you!!!!

Valerie, thank goodness everything was okay. I've seen a lot of "bleeding" episodes with carrying multiples. Sounds like you're getting great care! Have a great weekend also!

Hello everyone!

I wanted to let you know that I did email my RE yesterday about BD with DH and this was their response.

They don't think it's necessary to wait until the second trimester, but if your worried then that's reason enough to wait.

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? Don't they know we worry about everything??? lol........

They also told me that they didn't want to see me until my first ultrasound. I was hinting on the idea of wanting a third beta but they don't want to do one so I'm just gonna wait it out.

I'm glad to hear that everyone is doing well. Cathy I like your idea of losing 5 pounds with cutting back on your sodium, lots of water and eating more frequently. I'm trying to eat healthier myself.

Re sex: I was going to ask for clearance, but I didn't have to. The subject came up when I asked to get off the antibiotics. The RE said fine, but no sex for 2 weeks after, to make sure no risk of infection (this might not be an issue for you girls, but I have had recurring m/c's and he doesn't want to take a risk). So, there are other things to do, not that I have any energy for ANYTHING!!! I guess I will be about 8 weeks when we can officially give it a go.

Re multiple betas: every clinic is different. If you tell them that you really would feel better with another one, sure they will do it. Maybe they are concerned that your insurance won't cover, so you might need to be prepared to pay out of pocket. Or they think the stress of you analyzing your numbers isn't good. My clinic only does 2 if there is no problem. I was glad for that. Last summer I had 5 or 6...that pg ended as an ectopic. They were very satisfied with my numbers so didn't want any more. Also, once your numbers get to about 2000, you should be able to see the sac via u/s, so you can always ask for an earlier u/s to ease your mind...

I can not wait until wed. This whole process is crazy. somedays I have so much pulling and tightness in my stomach I feel 4 months preg. but the last 2 days I have been fine. This happened to me last week too. Anyone still going through this? I don't feel preg sometimes. I'm so stressed and my DH says you saw the heartbeat just relax. I would feel better with an u/s everyday. HAHA

Jencat - thanks for the info. I think I'm just going to hang out for another 10 days until the 1st ultrasound. I haven't had any problems so far. All of my abdominal pain is gone now aside from being bloated. I think the hormones are just driving me crazy most of the time.

Cathy - I haven't been too moody so far. I think the worst part for me was the 2ww. I was a crazy person. I'm just super happy to be pregnant. Me and DH are getting along great so far...........

I too don't really feel pregnant and I think that's what scares me the most, and I haven't even had an ultrasound yet. Thankfully you've gotten past that part! I wish you the best. I think we're all going to stress no matter what happens.

Forgot to ask. Has anyone sneezed and it felt like a charlie horse in my stomach. I felt like I could not move and I pulled something. My sis said she never felt that till her 3rd trimester. Thanks for the input.
Also I have beed very moody too. One min. I'm in a good mood and the next I dont want to talk and in a bad mood. I'm still on 400mg 2 pills a day of progesterone. I think this could be one of the problems b/c I'm always drained.

Hi Ladies! I havent been too moody as far as a BEOTCH goes... but the other day I was trying to find a parking spot at the hospital and I seriously drove around for 20 min and couldnt find one! I was supposed to meet Dh there and when I saw him pull in, someone was just pulling out and he snagged the spot. I called him CRYING!!! He started laughing!!! I usually dont cry but I think its all the hormones!!! Plus I hate that hospital just for that reason! Build a freakin parking garage!!!!

Migmel-I havent experienced a charlie horse in my stomach yet... But I was going to ask you girls if any of you have moved your legs in the middle of the night and felt a charlie horse coming on in your calves? I guess I stretch alot in bed and for the past 2 weeks I have come so close to getting one! I have not had one for years.. but I remember how awful it was! What should you do if you get one? Do you stand up and stretch it out?
