When are you going to announce it?

Good morning Ladies!

How is everyone feeling today?

Just wondering when you are going to make the news public if you haven't done it already?

The only people that know right now are DH and his parents and the only reason why we told his parents is they came over this past weekend, just bought a condo in Florida and wanted to schedule/book when we would go in February. We had no choice to tell them that they "might" be new grandparents that month. They were ecstatic but I think it was really too early to say something.

We haven't said anything to DD because I don't want to make the wait any longer than it will be for her- so I'm going to hold off as long as I can.

Oh we told practically everyone after we had a positive HPT. I am telling friends as I see them.

I am not telling anyone at work until I have to (start showing). I am an attorney and it's a horrible career move to get pregnant -- even if the firm claims to be family friendly.

Hi Mandi! Welcome to our lil buddy system! I am so excited for you! IVF must have been quite the journey! Congrats!

Cathy- I am waiting until I am 8 weeks to tell my friends and coworkers. For me, it's really hard to keep it a secret without lying to everyone because they all know my battle with IF. Even my clients ask at every appointment! I almost feel that if I lie, bad carma will follow me. (I have a super guilty consience... and an awful poker face.) But I wanted to have my first u/s before I blabbed it to everyone. I think I will have more peace of mind by then.

Emily- That is awesome that you got preggo on a natural cycle... I hope for your hubby's sake you get a beautiful healthy baby boy.... but im sure you will both be happy with what ever comes your way!

Mandi and Mle.
On telling, the only people who know are a couple that we know that is also going through IF. I am actually hoping not to tell till at least 12wks if DH can keep a secret that long. When we go out I have been just drinking cranberry juice and using the excuse that I am the designated driver.

Thanks everybody for the great !!

Cathy - We have told almost everybody that knew we were going through IVF (which is almost everybody we know)...We would have waited if it was a natural cycle pregnancy but we didn't have that choice. All of my family and friends were just waiting until Monday with their phones close by to see if the IVF worked. I got to give everybody happy phone calls!!!

Missy - Very neat that I am due on your birthday!!! I have the same problems with my work because I am an occupational therapist and I have to do a lot of lifting, stooping and walking all day. Basically being pregnant and doing what I do is next to impossible because I lift people up to 300 pounds on a daily basis. Right now I was told not to work because I have OHSS and pelvic pain until I have my 1st ultrasound. So work is not very thrilled. But at least I am taking care of the baby....RIGHT!!!!

Jencat, Roxane, Emily and Mamashuga - It is great to join your group and I am glad we can go through this journey together. We are all very blessed!!!

I think I have the pulling too. It doesn't really feel like cramps, but something's going on. I have been feeling yucky, but today I feel good. Maybe it was the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit from McD's this morning????

yum! I love those!

I had some extra nausea thrown in this morning due to having left over chinese food spill on my passenger seat in my car yesterday. DH was going to clean it last night, but we wound up doing other stuff. This AM I almost switched cars with him

Ladies, I'm feeling really yucky, too. I'm still hungry but almost nothing sounds appetizing. So for lunch I'm having PB&J. I'm praying that it doesn't get worse or turn into actual vomiting (Jen - I HATE it, too). I'm such a wimp. 6 weeks in and I'm already complaining. Hehehe.

We don't plan on telling anybody until much later because w/ my last 2 m/c's we told people and it was so hard to tell them when it was over. We did tell my parents b/c when DH went out of town I had my mom give me the PIOs. I'm dying to tell my sister who is also preggo, about 5 months. Maybe in a couple of weeks.

Happy Friday everyone!

I know! The day before yesterday I made DH take me to Wendy's for a jr. bacon cheesburger, fries and frosty. It was sooooo good. Best Wendy's I EVER had! I may have to hit up McDonald's for some bkfast sometime soon. Just got back from the grocery and I bought white bread, chx nuggets, texas toast, saltines, lemon drops, etc. I'm usually a fresh produce, whole grain kind of girl and hardly eat processed food. This baby/ies really like themselves some junky food! They're ordering it, not me!

You're all making me hungry!

Not a lot of people know that I"m doing the IF thing except for close friends and family. I work from home so I don't have coworkers to deal with. So I suppose if it comes up from the people who know, I'll say something. I"m going to wait until I have my ultrasound to start telling my parents, etc. Thanks for the feedback.

Missy- that's too bad that you have to hide it from work or that it will be frowned upon. This is going to be one of the most memorable events in your life.

Jen- I was having those groin pulls yesterday. I think I was on my feet for too long. I remember them with my first pregnancy too, so it's normal. Just take it easy when you feel it.
