That's too funny about the cravings. I went from a SALT binge for about 2 weeks to eating healthy. I actually made some AWESOME turkey burgers with cheese last night. They were sooo delicious.

Newly Pregnant

Hi everyone,

I would love to join you guys. Just found out on Tuesday that I'm . Our due date is Feb 14 - Valentine's Day. Very sweet. DH and I are so thrilled.

I go back next Tuesday for a 2nd beta. I've skimmed through the posts here and appears most of your betas are much higher than mine. The only slight difference I see is that I had my first beta 11 dpo. My beta was 27.6. They said it only needed to be above 20 on that day.

I look forward to getting to know you guys and going through this journey together.

Yum! I love turkey burgers. This whole m/s thing is strange b/c I usually love to cook, but lately have found it so unappetizing to handle meats, etc. Though, I will eat the final product. Think I will have to convince DH to start cooking, on the other hand, that could be very scary...

Tightness in your back??

Does anyone else have a tightness in their lower back? I had a pain (ache) on the left side of my back that went down my leg earlier...dr said it was probably muscular. Then, later in the day, I had tight pressure in my lower back all the way across. I am really worried, but the midwife on duty tonight said it was probably just all the stretching and things going on. I hope that is all it is!

HELP!

Cathy -- I know my job is not going to be too happy about me taking time off. We are on a big case and I fear that my due date is going to coincide with trial. I am dreading telling them. It's too early to tell work anyway -- so I can put it off.

Mauker --- Congrats on your successful IUI!!!! I love your Valentine's due date. I know a couple who named their son Valentine. It was an "Italian-thing."

MLE -- I always have lower back pain. Even before preggo. It totally sucks. I am sure everything is okay.

Rox -- just just a few days left to that bean count. You will have to start lurking around on the triplet mommies thread!!!!

Oh yeah, one of my friends found out we were finally pregnant and started laughing her butt off at my beta numbers. She's a nurse and she had twins. She's convinced I am having twins. Oh my gosh!!!!!

Hi Journey - glad you made it over here. Can't wait to hear about your 2nd Beta - mine is Tuesday.

Thanks everyone for the welcome and for making me feel better about my beta numbers. We are waiting for the second set of numbers to be ok before we tell my daughter she is going to be a big sister.

As far as telling other people - I have already told so many people. I know a lot of people choose not to. I just can't help myself. Plus, if something were to happen and this one not stick, I would welcome all those people praying for me as I walk through that as well.

MissyWojo (missy is my real name as well by the way) - I am very sorry you are feeling such pressure about work. I can relate. With my first pregnancy - when I told the CEO of my company - he looked down and shook his head and said, well, I guess you aren't coming back, huh? Of course, I think I am the first female in a senior position to have a baby and actually come back - so maybe this time he will be more positive. I haven't told him yet. I did tell my direct boss and he was so excited for me. If it makes you feel any better he was one of the top lawyers in the state before joining our company. He actually joyfully exclaimed "i love babies, babies are good". It really made me laugh. I hope you are surprised and get a similar reaction. The last thing you need is added stress during this time.

Thanks for the reassurance. I never experienced that with my DD, so it was different. But, I know each pregnancy is different. I feel better today after sleeping ... although my DD decided that she needed to sleep with us for part of the night last night...LOL

So many of us on here...it's so neat!

Missy,

Yes, it is a great thing that we did it naturally both times. It was a long road this time, but I hope everything will work out. This time, I know it was fate with my father's birthday. It just wasn't the right time before.

Missy and Journey! We're so glad to have you join us. It's so cool to have so many people go through similar difficult IF journeys and then end up together! Let's pray that we all have healthy pregnancies no matter what "numbers" we are! By the way those numbers look a-okay to me so don't worry!

I'm having a lot of little twinges today in my lower abdomen. I don't think it's "gas". Hope everything is okay? I went for my 3rd beta this morning so I'm it's a good number. I'm really nervous about this one for some reason.

Cari, thanks for the awesome recipe! I'm a total FOODIE and I love the food network! Mmmmm!!!

Missy(wojo)- I like how Missy(mauker) put it. That maybe you will get a similar reaction. It won't be easy, but you will manage!

Emily, for 2 days I had a strained upper back feeling and today I'm fine. I think that's all it is, is stretching.
