Hello to all. If you read my signature you will be able to see that I write on behalf of my sis and BIL. After getting a positive HPT she found out on her first US (at six weeks) that it was ectopic. Luckily for her, it seems they got to it on time so we are now just grieving the loss but hopeful my sister would not need surgery.
I was just wondering for those of you who have experienced ectopics, are they always a blighted ovum? I thought that it probably is more common for the embrio to stop developing when it starts growing in a place where it's not meant to grow. Is that so?
Thank you for your answers. It is encouraging to see that many of you have had a successful pregnancy after an ectopic. It keeps our hope up.
